Chapter 4: Walking stereotypes

(Himiko's pov)

I've always been energetic...

It's kinda been a thing that I'm energetic. A lot of people wonder how I don't collapse halfway through the day from exhaustion.

When I'm going somewhere, I pretty much always run and never get out of breath.

It takes a lot for me to fall asleep. I have to binge watch ASMR videos just to make me sleepy.

During class, I fidget a lot. I'm always swinging my legs, clicking my pen and tapping my fingers on the desk.

Yeah, I piss off my teachers a lot during class.

The only reason I want to be part of Danganronpa is because I want to make some friends.

I'm always occupied with my sports activates and tournaments so I don't actually get to see a lot of my classmates during breaks.

Also, because of my sports activates, I'm kinda falling behind on classes.

It's not my fault! I have so many clubs to attend to that I usually go home at 7:30pm. And then I have to eat and all that kind of jazz before my parents expect me in bed by 9:30pm.

But I guess I could of done my homework when I stay up late.

I really need a proper schedule.

I've been sitting in this clubroom for about 5 minutes and already, the mood has died down.

I mean, it was looking all good when everyone was introducing ourselves but I guess that we all aren't used to the 18 of us.

But still, watching a game of ping pong is way more entertaining than this!

And I sleep through the games-

When I say 'the mood has died down' I mean that's the case for most people.

There's this boy with a cap called Shuichi was having an intense discussion with Tsumugi about Danganronpa whilst trying to include another girl called Kaede into the conversation.

Everyone else was just sitting around, not sure what to do.

I guess I understand since everyone here seems really different, personality wise. I mean, you have one cutesy girl, a few shy people, two bullies, one rich dude, a popular dude, someone who looks like he stole all your possessions, a girl with a blank look, a few people who look like they don't want to be here, another girl who looks like she doesn't want to talk about Danganronpa and two Danganronpa fans.

So I decided to finally stood up to actually socialise with some people.

For some reason, I found myself walking towards a shy looking girl with braided hair, Tenko Chabashira? I think that is what her name is.

I believe that two other boys are her friends but they're somewhere else in the clubroom.

She seemed pretty surprised that I sat down right next to her.

"Hi! Tenko Chabashira right? I'm Himiko Yumeno! But of course, you probably already know that!" I introduced myself again with a wide smile and quite hyper voice.

"W-what do you need?" Tenko nervously looked at me, "A pencil, pen, ruler? Maybe you need money?"

"What do you mean? I don't need anything!" I still said in my hyper voice, though I was quite confused that she thought I needed something from her.

"T-then why are you here? Are you here to tease me?" She asked, in a scared tone

"Of course not! I want to be friends with you!" I grinned, "Just like those other two boys!"

"F-friends?" Tenko had a surprised expression on her face, as if she had not that word in a while

"Yep! Are you a fan of Danganronpa?" I asked, "Ah wait, you're in a Danganronpa club, silly me!"

"Some of my favourite characters are Peko, Akane and Sakura," Tenko smiled a bit,

"Cool! I really liked Chiaki and Aoi! They were really cool! But to be honest, I did cry a bit at Chiaki's death and when Aoi was begging Sakura to open the door after her suicide,"

"Yeah, those were really sad moments,"

"Are you gonna audition for Danganronpa? What talent do you want?"

"U-um, I'm not sure yet,"

We continued talking for the next 10 minutes and I don't think that those 10 minutes had gone to waste. Over time, Tenko became a lot more warmer and more comfortable towards me. It's a good thing too! I wanna get to know her better! And I think that this will be a start of a great relationship.

"That was a great chat Tenko! Wanna go back to the others?" I stood up and stretched my arms

"I guess so, Tori and Ryoma are probably wondering where I am," Tenko smiled softly

"Come on then!" I grinned as I offered a hand, "It's great to have made a new friend!"

Tenko blinked before snapping back into reality and looked at me in disbelief,

"F-friends?"

"Yeah!" I took her hand and helped her up, "We're friends now, right?"

(Kokichi's pov)

I've always been a jokester...

I yawned, this club is so boring! I came here to not be bored during lunch, not to sit around doing nothing!

Geez, didn't Shuichi have anything prepared for us to do?

"Come on guys! Let's actually do something!" I stood up, causing 17 heads to look at me

"Then what do you want us to do?" A girl in a baggy sweater asked. I think she's called Miu, but damn, she's hot-

"Jeez, can't you guys think up of something to do for yourselves?!" I asked everyone,

"Says you, you're not doing anything," Kaito pointed at me,

"Well, we should just come up with something to do, it's all part of the script!" I said

"Nanto osshaimashita ka?" Tsuki asked, speaking in Japanese.

(I beg your pardon?)

"You guys don't understand, do you? We're all anime teenage characters!" I grinned before pointing at Shuichi and moved around the circle, "You're a crazy fanboy, you're a otaku, you're an unbeliever, you're an atheist, you're a bully, you're a jock, you're a loli, you three are shy peeps, you're a happy boy, you look like you're on crack, you're a prostitute, you look like you're Yandere-Chan, you're one of those popular boys, you're a rich bitch and you look like an average normie boy,"

I took a deep breath and smiled at everyone, "Don't you guys see? We're walking anime teenage stereotypes!"

"That is actually a really stupid idea you came up with," Gonta insulted

"Don't get me wrong, I really want this to be the case but we're not in an anime story where we are forced to speak along the script," Tsumugi nervously laughed

"Fine, think whatever you want to think," I shrugged, "Who wants to play a game?"

"What game are you thinking of?" Tori asked me, looking quite intrigued,

"Danganronpa Street Fighter of course!" I announced,

"But don't you play that on the Nintendo Switch?" Ryoma asked, "None of us carry a Nintendo Switch to school,"

"And that's where you're wrong, dear Happy Boi," I grinned and reached for my bag, where I pulled out a Nintendo Switch as well as many controllers.

"How did you manage to buy all those Switches?" Kirumi questioned, raising an eyebrow

"You know, it's not impossible to buy that many switches. I can buy 100 switches if I wanted to," Rantaro commented

"Oh I didn't buy them, I just borrowed them from people's lockers," I answered with a smile

"Oh my god, don't tell me you stole them!" Tenko exclaimed, covering her mouth in a dramatic way

"Please don't speak about God," Angie said through gritted teeth.

"I didn't steal them! I borrowed them!" I insisted

"You do realise that taking things from people's lockers count as stealing?" Kaede asked in a matter-of-fact tone

"And your point is?" I looked at her and Kaede didn't answer, "Look, do you guys want to play or not?"

"Just promise us you will return all those electronics before class starts today," Korekyo said, crossing his arms

"Fine! Fine! You guys win. I'll return all this stuff before class starts," I held my hands up as if to surrender, "So, are we playing or not?"
