Don't even talk to me. I am so angry. See as she be like! Nonsense! Yeye (annoying)  girl! Why would someone pour water on her sleeping sister? Well, that is how I woke up this morning.

Anita had emptied a bowl of water on my face. I am so lucky it was not a bucket.

I glanced at her. She was nervous. We were at the assembly. The principal was ready to announce our new prefects. Anita was so anxious. She wants to be a disciplinary prefect. Trust me, I am starting to believe she would be perfect for that.

"Students, good morning! " Mr Ade spoke up. He cleared his throat and continued, "I want to announce the prefectship of your seniors"

I glanced at my sister. She was still nervous. Calm down na! I know you will be a prefect.

Mr Ade announced names and their post. "Disciplinary post goes to... " he filled the paper he held.

I don't think he knows about the mini heart attack my sister might be getting from his suspense.

"Rosie Onyeka" he added. Everyone clapped except Anita and me.

I watched as Anita bit back a frustrated and disappointed scream.

Mr Ade announced names and posts. My sister's name wasn't mentioned.

I felt sad myself. She is a good student. What's wrong?

"The Head girl post goes to... Anita Tosin" his words crushed my sad face.

"Wow!" I screamed, clapping hard. Anita walked up to the principal. They handed the Head girl badge to her.

Lucky girl! I am a proud sister.

My new crush, Daniel, was the new Head boy. I am proud of my crush. He is such a calm and intelligent boy. When you see him walking, you could see the air of confidence and elegance that clouds him.

I was back in class. Time to learn. School is so awesome. Please cue my sarcasm. 

"Sup, sugar?" the words of this familiar voice shocked me.

"Sugar?" I asked Freddy.

He winked. So lame! This guy is stupid.

"Why are you so happy?"I asked. He was actually cheerful today.

"Because I am sitting close to a true beauty". He leaned and whispered into my ears, "Not you sha! Kate"

I swallowed the urge to punch his belly. He chuckled and sat properly on his seat.

"Hey guys! " Kate's soft voice interrupted our staring contest.

"Hey? " I smiled at her. She looks so good in our school uniform. Wait! Where is Ken? I am sure he looks hot in the uniform.

My eyes scanned the class. He is not here.

"Where is Ken?" I asked without hesitating.

"He is coming!" Kate replied.

"You look so beautiful in the school uniform " Freddy flashed his best smile. When I mean 'best' I am serious. It made him look good. Nice game Freddie! But will you be able to beat the Star boys?

"Thanks!" Kate giggled.

"Yeah! You look great" I commented. I want to be Kate's friend.

"Awwn! Thanks! Is it really that good? "

"Yes! You are one beautiful girl " Freddy beamed and winked at her.

She smiled at him, "That's nice of you to say," her British accent rang.

"Kate!" another sweet British accent rang. Its voice so husky and deep. I swung my head to its direction.

"Ken! What took you so long?" Kate asked him.

While they had their little siblings conversation and I used the time I had wisely. I was checking him out.

My eyes lingered on his face as I digested his smooth face and pink lips. His eyes shone with its light brown colour. The school shirt was fitted. It hugged his broad chest. The black tie gave it a wonderful look. Down to his trouser, I could see his long legs. He looked prefect. More like a model if you ask me.

I turned around. It was like all girls were also checking him out. A seductive smile slipped into Regina's lips. She swayed her broad hips as she walked to him. Her hands crawled into Ken's waist.

"Good morning, Ken"

Ken's reaction gave me a reason to like him more. He just took her hands off him with a stoical expression. Regina was kind of disappointed. Her charm doesn't work on him.

However, girls around me sent her daggers. A look that could burn her to ashes. She cleared her throat and greeted Kate, "Hey girl!"

"Hi, Regina" Kate replied.

"Hi, Ken" Peggy who sat beside me greeted.

He nodded and walked to his  desk. I haven't introduced myself. I will do it when we are alone.

"Naomi!" Freddy called out.

"What?"

"I need your pen urgently"

"To do what?"

"Please, Naomi! I will return it" his eyes went to my chest pocket that had my pen.

I had a weird feeling about him staring at my chests. One could call him a pervert but I know he just needs the pen. I pulled it out of my pocket and handed it to him.

"Kate, can I have your phone number?" he leaned close to her.

"Sure!" Kate took the pen and paper he gave her and wrote her number down. Freddy saw the shocked look on my face.

"Is that urgent?" I hissed.

"Extremely urgent!" and he dared to wink at me.

"Here you go!" Kate stretched the paper and pen.

"Thanks, beauty!" he smiled at her. "Take!" he threw my pen at my face.

I took in some fresh air down my lungs and did the unexpected. Without wasting time, I picked my textbook, stood up and began to hit him.

"Ouch! Stop! Sorry" he whined.

"Never mess with me!" I said, still hitting him hard.

"Go, Naomi!" Some of my classmates cheered.

"No money for food?  See the way she dey beat her husband! (See how she is beating her husband) " Gilbert yelled, making the class laugh.

"He is not my husband" I rolled my eyes and hit Freddy again.

He was panting by then. He gripped my wrist and ran away to the back of the class.

"This girl is mad oo! " he said.

"You guys should stop your loveplay" Peggy joked.

"Loveplay?" I turned to her. She clasped her hands on her mouth.

I gave her a disappointed look, "Better tell your friend, Freddie to behave. I will not take nonsense from him".

"What did I do?" Freddy yelled between laughter. I can't believe he is taking this as a play. I am so serious.

I glared at him. "I don't have your stupid time" I hissed. "Mtchew!!"

"Why not, baby?" he jeered.

"I said it. You guys are having some husband and wife fight, abi?" The stupid Gilbert joked. Everyone was laughing once again.

I scanned their faces. Ken and Kate were also amused.

"Freddie, well done! I clap hand for you (I am clapping)" I said sarcastically.

"Thanks, sweetie! "

"Freddie, don't sit down there oo!  That girl go kill you" Gilbert teased.

"He is right! Don't even near here. Mtchew!! " I rolled my eyes and sat down.

Freddy didn't sit on his desk the rest of the days. He had exchanged his desk with Gilbert.

"What's up, beautiful?" I had thought Gilbert was talking to me.

He is so lucky it wasn't me. I would have slapped that mouth of his. However, he leaned close to Kate.

"You are so beautiful, do you know that?" he licked his dark lips as if he was sexy.

I better get Freddy back here. Gilbert is so disgusting. I was on my feet. I need to get Freddy!

My eyes swept across the unruly students. School was over for the day and every one were on their way home. I spotted Freddy with Ken. They seemed to be having an interesting conversation. You could tell by the amused smile on Ken's face. This was the first time I had seen him smile. It was so appealing that I stared like a complete weirdo. I got back my senses and walked up to them.

I cleared my throat to get their attention. My glare resting like a weight on ,  "Better sit behind me tomorrow. I will not accept Gilbert. He is so annoying"

Freddy chuckled, "I told you, Ken. She misses me"

"What?" I gasped. Pls don't tell me this stupid jerk said something humiliating about me. I haven't even introduced myself to Ken and my image is crushed. What would he think of me? First impression matters. I am dead. This mumu! Ode! In fact, I will kill him with my hands.

"What did this fool tell you?" I asked in frustration.

Ken's expression gave me the obvious answer. Freddy had said something stupid.

Personal Advice:
 
     Firstly, I want to thank you for reading my book. And then, I'll like to say that Wattpad has a lot of genre and I know you know that. However, what you choose to read matters. Funny as it may sound but some books on wattpad are like pornography. Please do not expose yourself to such contents. You might think it may not affect but human mind works in mysterious ways most times. The more you expose yourself to it, the more it affects you psychologically.
