Maddie's POV
Randy nudges me gently, waking me up. "We're here, we're in York," Randy said. I frowned. I really didn't want to be here. Randy parked the car at our new apartment, Apartment 873.
I opened the door to my bedroom, to find that my things were there. My makeup, my mirror, my bed, though it was a twin size now instead of a queen. I sighed and laid in it. I turned my body to face the wall. It was a cream-colored wallpaper, very relaxing. My bed was orange and pink with white stripes. I started to doze off from the long drive here then Randy nudged me waking me up.
"What?" I groaned groggily. I hadn't been sleeping since we got here. "You're going to high school tomorrow mads," Randy said. "Pick out your clothes and shit," he added leaving my bedroom. I got out of my bed, it was softer than I expected it to be. I stretched out of it and got out my pajamas and then clothes for school in the morning.
"God, I know its gonna be hell," I muttered to myself heading to the bathroom to shower and get ready for bed. I probably wasn't going to sleep tonight, thinking about two-bit and how he's in the hospital now because of that filthy rat.
I felt the water pierce my skin as I grabbed the soap and gently scrubbed my body. I scrubbed off the marks and bruises from the fight. Darry and I really went at it. I sigh scrubbing the dirt and filth out of my hair. Randy pounds at the door saying,
"When are you gonna be done mads?!" He yells. I groan and turn off the water after rinsing the soap off. I grab a towel and brush my teeth quickly then I head to my room to get dressed. I get dressed in my nightgown, set an alarm on my phone and shut my eyes trying to sleep.
"Tomorrow's gonna be hell," I muttered to myself.
My alarm goes off telling me to wake up. I didn't sleep at all. I force myself into the shower and made it a quick one. I brush my hair and blowdry it putting it into a fishtail braid. I head to my room in my towel and get dressed. I picked a pink blazer, light denim jeans, and a white crop top.
"Ready Mads?" Randy called out. "Yeah!" I yelled. "Ready as I'll ever be," I muttered out.
High school was beautiful. It was large and luxurious. I walked into it when randy drove off. Probably to find a bar or something. I met up with a few girls, their names were Marissa and Clarissa. No they weren't sisters and no they weren't twins, they just had similar-sounding names. I shortened them to be M for Marissa and Clare for Clarissa. It was a span of exactly three minutes ago that we had just met each other and we were already friends. We walked together in school and talked along the way.
I wasn't even looking where I was going, lost in thought and I bumped into a boy. "Sorry, I wasn't-" I paused. The boy had chestnut brown hair, beautiful blue eyes and a sincere smile, he reminds me of him. "Two?" I asked. "Micheal," He said. I waved at him as he walked away. I just couldn't shake it wasn't him when he looked exactly like the man I fell for months ago. The bell rang so M, Clare, and I went to class.
