~Elizabeth's Pov~ 

I was woken up by the sound of fighting. I was able to sense the fight between the Sins and the Demon Clan from my bed. "Lady Elizabeth, your awake" Elaine spoke, her voice sounded relieved. Hawk was asking how I was feeling. Both of them were by my side as was taking deep breaths. The pain was getting worse and worse. It was the second day. Tomorrow...I knew it was to get worse than this. "Can I get you any food or drink?" Elaine soon asked as I smiled at her. She was a sweet girl. Then again...

Those with Pure Souls like her were like that. "I'm...fine...how is the fight...going?" I asked between my deep and painful deaths. Elaine rubbed the back of her head replying with 'not sure'. Hawk was reminding me that Meliodas was leading the charge, how he wouldn't fail. I only smiled at how loyal Hawk was. I couldn't help but be thankful to him. The ground was soon shaking as there were sounds of fighting downstairs in the tavern. "They got past Ban and the others" Elaine spoke worried, fear in her eyes. 

I was taking deep breaths, unable to move without more pain spreading through my body. I was able to sense, it was two Ten Commandments downstairs. One was heading this way. That wasn't good. I already knew who it was. "Elaine you need to hide...now!" I snapped confusing her even more. Sadly it was too late. Melascula came bursting through the door a smirk on her face. Not good. Not good at all. I sweat-dropped as Elaine looked scared out of her mind. "I came here to kill off Elizabeth early but to see my meal is here too...I may be longer than I first planned" Melascula spoke with a laugh. 

Hawk moved in front of Elaine threatening the demon in front of him. This wasn't good at all. I couldn't move. Elaine was shaking. Out of all the demons. It was only natural for Elaine to be in fear of Melascula. After being trapped in a mental world with her for so long. "How about I finish up my meal before dealing with you Cursed Goddess, your weakness has always been other people after all" Melascula spoke with a laugh the darkness around her started to give off a dark purple aura. 

I knew what that meant more than anyone. I was trying to move but was unable, everything inside of me was screaming in agony from trying. I saw the darkness soon flying at Elaine to trap her, somehow seeing the fear in Elaine's face got me to move. I was in front of her using a blast of light to block Melascula's darkness. The pain making me cough up blood as I did so. Melascula gave off a huge laugh as Elaine and Hawk shouted my name worried. I was struggling to stand in front of Elaine.

My body starting to feel worse and worse. It wasn't long until blood was rushing out my nose. The demon in front of me was laughing her head off, calling me an 'idiot'. "You trying to die early Elizabeth?" Melascula soon asked sounding like a madman. I was taking deep and heavy breaths as Elaine was saying my name in fear, sounding as if she was about to cry. I couldn't be the reason anyone got hurt anymore. I didn't want to be the reason people were killed! I couldn't live with it. I couldn't live with myself if it was Elaine or the Seven Deadly Sins.

I knew if anything they would've been the ones to help and protect Meliodas when I was gone. I knew this curse...was going to test our bond. "You were always such an annoying pest, Elizabeth!" Melascula shouted the darkness around her going at me from different directions. I only turned around pushing Elaine away from me to the other side of the room. She shouted my name as loud as she could but I was soon trapped inside Melascula's darkness. Darkness was a power that the demon race could use. 

It was much like how the goddesses had 'ark', also known as light. Each goddess would call it different between the two. I soon felt myself floating, my body feeling even more pain than before. "Maybe I'll have my meal while I kill you slowly" I heard Melascula's voice echo around the room. I heard Elaine screaming my name while I was trying my hardest to move any part of my body. The pain stopping me. I was holding back a scream as the pain felt as if it was getting worse. My body starting to burn up.

I ended up coughing up blood more and more every couple of seconds. I could feel strips of blood going down my chin. "Dammit" I muttered trying to push past the pain but I couldn't. I was starting to feel tired even. That was when I heard Melascula screaming at Elaine in rage. She was fighting. Everyone was fighting. Meliodas, Merlin...everyone was...they were all fighting. I knew I couldn't give up. That this...was my fight. I started building up what power I had left in me. I kept building it up even though it made the pain worse.

My body was starting to go so numb from it. If Melascula didn't have her darkness...she had no choice but to transform into her true form. A giant snake. I felt sweat start to build up over my body as I kept building up as much power as I could. I knew this blast would only destroy this darkness for a short amount of time but I knew that it was long enough to worry her...to even make her scared. Meliodas is going to hate this. He really, really would. "Why struggle Cursed Goddess?" I heard the voice of the Demon King echo around me.

My body froze up in seconds. "Why? It's only a matter of time before my son turns his back on you as well" his voice echoed, a chuckle following. My hands turned into tight fists as I kept building up my power, the speed doubling. I hated him. I hated him for what he has done not to just Meliodas but to Estarossa and Zeldris. He has always made them suffer. His own sons! "Why? Because I love him more than anything else in this world!" I snapped loudly feeling my power soon to hit my body's limit. 

"Oh really now?" the Demon King's voice asked, sounding much more serious than before. I smiled. I couldn't help but think about the years I've been by Meliodas' side. How he and I always supported each other. "Yes really. I don't care if you believe me or not anymore. As long as I can stay by Meliodas' side. As long as I can see him smile...I'll go through whatever you throw at me!" I nearly shouted sending out a powerful blast destroying the darkness around me. My body went numb as I fell to the ground, blood coming out of my mouth and nose.
