{2 YEARS LATER}
It was fall and the only problem at night was the blackness, some nights even the stars had been hidden behind a wall of foreboding cloud. The nights were as ferocious as a dip in the frozen lakes would be, taking their body heat until their lips blued and teeth chattered. But today the streets were lonely, she was the only one walking at night, when no one was. It was not only cold, but it was raining, dangerous raining.
There was a mutter of thunder from the blackened sky as the wind tore leaves from the trees. The rain lashed down, torrential, unforgiving. Newspaper blew along the street.
The cold breeze blew right through her sweater and she bowed her head to one side, closing her lashes which was weighed down with mascara to keep out the dusty sting caused by the wind. The dampness of the rain was making its way though her skinny jeans. Her hair fell loose down the sides of her shoulders, tousled and tangled. She was wearing a hoodie but it didn't help.
She reached to her apartment and opened the door with her keys. Tossing her shoes to the side of the door, she came inside trying not to make a noise.
"Aisha" A sleepy voice spoke. Opening her eyes she arched up to take a better look at her. "Look at you, you look absolutely horrible" She closed her eyes and sighed softy, concerned for her friend.
"I don't give a shit T, the last thing I care about is my looks" Her edgy yet deep voice came across as direct rude.
Tina huffed and layed back down "Go change your clothes and then go to sleep, you have a big day tomorrow"
Aisha walked towards her cabinet, selecting some comfy yet warm clothes that she wanted to wear to bed. "Big day as in it's Friday, and we have to go partying?"
"No, big day as in you have a job interview to attend" Tina reminded, her eyes were closed her voice low and still filled with sleepiness.
"But I already have a job" Aisha interjected, trying to state her point.
"You can't keep working at my office, it's been so long. You have to start your journey and be independent" She replied, bringing the blanket close to her, as the cold breeze coming from the window sent shivers down her spine. "And please, close the windows. It's cold."
Aisha rolled her eyes and headed to the bathroom, closing the door with a loud 'thud'
.
Tina shaked her head in disapproval, she sighed climbing out of her bed and closing the windows shut before going back again to lay down. Her eyes shut close, as she slowly drifted off to sleep.
💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨
Aisha stirred in her sleep, her eyes opened for a second then closed, then again it shot open, she stared at the ceiling, wide eyed. A slow smile crawling up her face, in a swift motion her head turned towards the window.
It was snowing. Outside the walnut brown trees swayed in the cold winter wind. Icicles on the trees dropped with a smash. Like glass cracking and shattering. The weather was frosty and the snow was glistening.
Large flakes fells as if angels in heaven were having a pillow fight. Though the snow was beautiful it was cold and sharp. Crisp, white and pristine.
Aisha decided the best thing to do was to make hot chocolate. So she did.
Tina's apartment had a tiny kitchen, which neither Aisha or Tina used. They would just go out with there friends and have food outside. But today, the kitchen actually got some use of company.
Standing over the pan Aisha watched as the small curls of steam rose into the wintry air, though the fire was warming the room quickly, which was good! She stirred a little, letting her mind wander, reflecting on her life which dramatically changed 2 years ago.
Living in Paris was a dream come true. A dream Aisha never worked hard for.... roaming around the beautiful streets with such kind people, the sights were amazing, everything about Paris was wonderful. Almost like magical.
But she did nothing for it, all she did was changed. A change that drifted everyone away from her, a change that nobody liked...
------------------- FLASHBACK -----------------
"I made pancakes for you.... again" Ayan spoke, as he saw Aisha come downstairs.
"Thank you" She smiled weakly, and sat down beside him.
"Are you okay? Your eyes... they look sore" Ayan concerned, looking at her face.
"I'm fine, don't worry." She said, gulping down a piece. "By the way, where were you last night?" He questioned, his eyebrows crunching up in confusion.
"Oh, just uh-um I was just uh, out with a friend of mine for dinner." Aisha stuttered, she didn't wanted to tell Ayan about Rohan.
"Ok then"
"Why? Everything okay?" Aisha looked at him, frowning.
"I was wanting to talk to about something..." Ayan trailed off. "I was wondering if you want to come to Pairs with me"
Aisha coughed loudly, nearly choking on the pancake that was inside her mouth. Ayan laughed, passing her a glass of water.
"I knew, I'll get this reaction" he said, while she was sipping on the water. Aisha then coughed a few times, reassuring if her throat was fine.
She stared into his eyes, "A-Ayan, I can't. I mean, who will take care of Dad?". He smiled, placing his hands on the sides of her shoulders "Aisha, I've already talked to him about this." Her eyes widened "W-what?"
Her mouth opened to say something, then closed again like a fish. "He said that all you've done in life is sacrificed things for everyone in your family, and now is about time you do something on you own, and make a career. Plus is not like your gonna leave India, Pairs is amazing trust me."
Tears started to prick in her eyes "I-I don't know what to say..."
Ayan gave her a wide smile, taking his hands of her shoulders, she looked at him. "And you don't have to either, I'm not forcing you or anything... you have a week so think about it, talk to your Dad if you aren't sure, tell me your answer when your ready." He got up, tucking in his chair, and walked off.

PRESENT
"T, wake up! Wake the hell up!"
Tina huffed, pulling the blanket on top of her head "What is wrong with you? How could you wake up so early after coming home so late last night." She groaned in anger.
"T, I made hot chocolate for youuu..." Aisha said, grinning widely, poking her sides.
"Stop it" Tina spoke, annoyed. Turning to the other side, her back now towards Aisha. The blanket still on top of her head, covering her face.
"T, it's 1pm" Aisha spoke. Tina eyes widened, as she jumped out of bed like a lunatic.
"Oh my god, NO." She squealed, in frustration. Rushing towards her closet, picking out her clothes "Couldn't you wake me up early, I have to go to work goddammit!!" Tina yelled at Aisha, heading towards the bathroom.
Aisha laughed loudly, "W-wait T, stop" she said, gasping of air. Her cheeks aching from all the laughing. "What now?" Tina groaned, turning back around facing her.
"Just joking T, it's only 8am" Aisha giggled, blinking at her innocently. Tina closed her eyes, taking a deep breath "God, I hate you so much." She muttered, opening her eyes and sitting back on her bed again.
"Hot chocolate?" Aisha asked, biting her lip trying not to laugh. Tina took the cup of her, taking a sip from it. "What no 'thank you?'." Aisha questioned.
"No" Tina retorted.
While she was drinking, her eyes caught the window and realisation hit her. "Oh wow it's snowing..." A smile reached upon her face. Aisha turned her head back to look at the window too "Oh yeah, it's beautiful isn't it?" She said, facing Tina again.
"Yeah it is, it's been awhile since it actually snowed in Paris." Aisha gave her a return smile, as they both kept sipping on their hot chocolate.
"By the way, Shanyana called me yesterday." Aisha spoke, as Tina took a sudden interest in her statement. "Oh really, what did she say?" She asked.
"The basic shit she keeps saying all the time, I miss everyone, why are you in Pairs, come and visit India.... blah blah blah" Aisha rolled her eyes, as Tina just laughed. "Maybe you should!" Tina suggested, raising an eyebrow.
Aisha eyes widened, as her head kept nodding in a 'no'. "Hell no, are you kidding me? I'm all good here!"
Tina chuckled, reaching the side of the table and grabbing her phone. She started to scroll through her instagram feed, as Aisha still went on about her conversation with Shanyana, and how she never wanted to visit India again.
"But do you know where we should go?" Aisha coaxed, a wide smile on her face.
"Where?" Tina asked, her eyes still on her phone.
"To London!" Tina's fingers froze on the screen of her phone, she closed her phone and stood up placing the empty cup on the table.
"You know I would never go there..." Tina trailed off. Taking the same clothes she took out from the closet earlier, going inside the bathroom to change.
"Why not? Because Ayan's there?" Aisha shouted, so her voice could reach Tina.
No answer.....
"T? Can you hear me?" Aisha shouted, her voice loud. "Just wait a minute Aisha" She heard Tina say.
Aisha got up from her bed and decided to go and get dressed to.

"Bonjour, comment allez-vous aujourd hui?" (Hello, how are you doing today?) Tina asked the lady at the flower shop.
Tina spent half of her life in London, since England and France are quite close to eachother Tina use to come and go in Paris. It was almost like her 2nd home was here in Paris. But now it's not, her 1st home is Paris, she's successful in cinematography and has a business of her own.
Aisha came by Tina and joined her at the flower shop, it was right down there apartment. The owner of the shop Rose, is the most friendliest person and is really good friends with both of them.
"T, what are you buying?" Aisha asked, confused.
"Flowers duh! My office table needs new flowers, the old ones are too old now" Tina claimed, picking up a pair of her favorite beautiful cherry blossom flowers and taking it up to Rose.
"Rose je veux ceux-ci s'il vous plaît." (Rose, I want these one's please)
After buying the flowers, Tina and Aisha were just simply walking down the streets. Everyone was happy, kids were playing with the snow, workers were going to work early morning, couples having waffles at cafés it was a happy sight to see!
"T, I'm sorry for last night.." Aisha spoke, her eyes looking straightforward, she felt guilty.
"I shouldn't have reacted that way"
"Aisha, you say that all the time. Every morning you do, I'm kinda used to your sorry's now, it's okay!" Tina chuckled.
"I don't do it all the time." Aisha argued, her voice had a tone of sassy-ness to it.
"Yes you do, the times were you come home late at nights after parties, the times when you don't EVEN come home! You always apologize in the morning." Tina smiled, listing all the things Aisha says sorry too.
"When I don't come home at nights, just know that I'm at my friends house for a sleepover" Aisha claimed, smiling.
Tina laughed "Friends house or at a guy's house?" She asked. Aisha eyes widened, heat crawled up her cheeks in embrassment.
"Uh let's not talk about that" Aisha said, blowing off there convasation.
"So are you going for the job interview?"
"Yes I am" Aisha looked at Tina, her face had a shock expression on it.
"Wow, Aisha Khurana I'm quite impressed with you!" Tina spoke, grinning, letting her perfect dimples appear.
"Ok listen, if I attend the interview today and get the job. Can we go partying tonight?"
Tina sighed "You know I hate these stuff right?"
"T, please c'mon just for tonight" Aisha pleaded, trying to convince Tina.
"Fine, just for tonight....but only if you get the job"
-----------------------------------------------------------
Waiting for time to pass is like waiting for years. Waiting in a small room with lots of other people felt sick, Aisha felt grossed out. She liked it better outside in the fresh air, in the snow. The thing annoying her the most were the uncomfortable chairs, and the tv sound. They were showing worldwide news on the tv and the volume of it was so high, that it was irritating the hell out of her.
Everyone was in peace, patiently waiting for their turns, expect her. Well the thing she was glad of is the fact, the news was in english, not in french. Not that she doesn't know how to speak it, in 2 years Aisha has learnt the language but that doesn't mean she likes speaking or hearing it.
"Recently the famous musican Rohan Nanda announced his coastal tour for his fans, hear more about it by him, himself.... Rohan thanks for joining us" The reporter spoke in her accent.
Aisha stared down on the ground, her fingers which was constantly tapping the other chair beside her, froze.
"So Rohan tell us about this tour, it's the most biggest yet, am I right?"
"Uh yes! Everyone in our crew is hyped up, there's alots of exitcment, we will be visiting and performaning in such beautiful places, it's great!" His deep, husky voice sent shivers down her spine, he was not even here but she had started having the same old tingly feeling.
Aisha didn't wanted to hear his voice, but she did, her eyes never left the ground. She knew he was onscreen but she didn't wanted to see him, she also knew he was famous but never cared and always tried to stay away.
This is the first time she heard something from him, after such a long time.
She moved on, she's a different person, but they say memories always stays with you.
Aisha stood up, not even making one glance on the screen. Walking away from his stupid interview which was coming onscreen. She went to the nearby reception, to talk to the lady.
"Salut, pouvez-vous s'il vous plaît changer le canal" (Hi, can you please change the channel) Aisha asked, in the most poliet tone she could ever pull off.
"Je suis désolé, maman, c'est important, je ne peux pas" (I'm sorry mam, I can't, it's important) Her bitchy voice, bulided an anger inside Aisha. Why is she acting so rude, when Aisha was so nice. The lady's eyes went back to the computer screen she was working on, and started typing again.
Aisha banged her hands on the table, her eyes filled with fire and intensity. "How is that Important!?!?" She shouted, making a few heads turn towards her as Aisha pointed at the tv screen, but her eyes still at the receptionist lady.
"Mamá habla en francés" (Mam, please speak in french) The lady faced Aisha, giving her a cold look.
"Fine" Aisha spat, lowering her gaze to the receptionist "Vous savez ce qui vous baise tous" (You know what, fuck you all) Aisha said, knocking of the stacked papers next to her computer with her hand, she walked off.
