Demetrius brought Mia down into the main room where she met the entire Destler family.

   "Mia, this is my family," Demetrius introduced. "Everyone, this is my new friend, Mia Taylor."

   "Hello, Mia. I'm Demetrius's grandfather," Erik greeted. "This is his grandmother, Christine."

   "I cringe every time I'm referred to as 'grandma'," Christine whispered to her husband.

   "I am Demetrius's father and this is his mother, Bella," Gustave said, gesturing toward his wife.

   Mia was also introduced to Catherine, Aphrodite, and Apollo.

   "It's lovely to meet all of you, good Messieurs and Mademoiselles," Mia greeted.

   "How old are you?" Aphrodite asked.

   "Five," Mia replied.

   "That's the same age as we are, Apollo!" Aphrodite exclaimed, shaking her twin brother slightly.

   "Yes, I know my own age. Thank you," Apollo replied sarcastically.

   "Okay, good. I wasn't sure because you don't act like it," Aphrodite snapped.

   Mia laughed. "Are they always like this?" She whispered to Demetrius.

   "Basically," Demetrius replied. "Come, I'll show you my room. It's much quieter in there."

   Mia was led to the deformed boy's room. "So many books," Mia said quietly. "Have you really read all these?"

   "Twice," Demetrius said with a smile.

   "Oh! Shakespeare!" Mia exclaimed pulling out a book from the shelf. "A Midsummer Night's Dream is my favorite."

   "Mine too," Demetrius agreed. "Where do you think my parents got my name from?"

   Mia laughed. "I haven't read this in so long," the girl said, caressing the cover. "The last time I read it was the week before my mother passed."

   "You have your own copy then?" Demetrius asked.

   "No. My copy was sold on accident after my mother died."

   "You can have that copy if you want."

   "Oh, no. I couldn't."

   "No, really. I have another copy. Keep it."

   "Really? Thanks!"

   Apollo and Aphrodite soon found Demetrius and Mia. Mia suggested that the four act out scenes from the aforementioned Shakespearian play. The others agreed and had a merry time.
   Mia hadn't made friends since her mother died. To tell the truth, she didn't have any friends before her mother passed away either.
   Mia was very intelligent and not many people were as smart as her, her only rival being Demetrius. Of course, he was too much of a gentleman to try to say that he was smarter. He would only think it.
   As for the twins, they were glad to have a fourth person to play with. Things were always more fun when they could split up into pairs.
   Mia became very close with Demetrius and the twins. Soon, they began to feel more like family.
