You and Issei are in an abandoned warehouse training together. Issei recorded you forming your armor and using your powers, which include extreme strength, speed, and durability.

Issei: "So, you were literally smashed into paste when you were a kid and found yourself alive in Endless?"

"Yes, but I don't know how. And I woke up just last year without memories."

Issei: "Other than the fact that you're kinda a kid in a teenager's body, you're a pretty quick learner."

"In Endless, you either learn quickly or end up rotting in the VR Prisons. They are more brutal than they sound."

Issei: "From what I've seen of Infinite, I don't doubt it one bit. BTW, is that armor a Sacred Gear?"

"What's a Sacred Gear?"

Issei: "If you want the full details and history, ask Rias. Simple version, I can say that they are magic items that can take the form of a lot of things. However, not all of them are the same and their power differs from Gear to Gear. Apparently, it was God's gift to humanity long ago. My Boosted Gear is one of them."

"I don't think my armor is a sacred gear. I think it's part of some experiment to create a living weapon for Infinite."

Issei: "Either way, better you with us than him. And I think you'll like it here. You know, we're more or less in somewhat balance with nature instead of stripping it dry to turn most of a continent into a never-ending city."

"Absolutely. I like the house Akeno and I are living in. It kinda reminds me of when we were kids. When I first attempted to escape Endless--"

A magic circle appeared and Akeno emerged from it.

Akeno: "There you two are. Rias was wondering where you guys were."

"I asked Issei for a place to test my powers. I asked for someplace secret and he said that no one comes here."

Issei: "Yeah, I've never seen anyone come here."

Akeno: "Still. I don't want to let anything happen to my clubmate or my baby brother."

"I'm not that much of a kid anymore, and I'm the one that has to protect you. If anything happens to you, I'd never be able to forgive myself."

Akeno: "I learned a lot myself after you were gone, and you still have a ton to learn about what's outside of Endless. So let me take care of you for a bit."

"Okay," you sighed, "but don't think I'll be sitting on the sidelines."

Akeno: "I won't. Why don't we head home for now?"

"Sure."

Akeno walked away.

"Issei, I got some cool stuff to show you later," you whispered to him. "Just go to this area and give me a call."

Issei: "Okay then."

You walked with Akeno back home and changed into comfortable clothes. Akeno made dinner while you went in your room doing one-arm push-ups. During your exercise, you had a memory of being in one of Eternity's labs and being experimented on.

"They always expected me to kill whatever they brought in and constantly took samples from me," you thought to yourself. "I was lucky to get on a smuggler's aircraft to escape back then, now I got to make sure Eternity can't harm Akeno."

Akeno: "Y/N!"

After running out of your room, you ate the food Akeno made and she shedded a tear.

Akeno: "You've been crying for a while. Does my food taste bad?"

"No, it's amazing. It reminds me of Mom."

Akeno: "Oh, yeah. I guess it runs in me."

You remembered the times you were with Akeno and played around at a park.

Akeno: "Y/N, want to go for walks around the forest?"

"Sure."

You and Akeno finished your food before heading out. You walked around and looked at the night sky full of stars.

Akeno: "I remember when we snuck out of bed to look at the stars. Mom would come out and carry us back."

"Yeah. Hey, Akeno?"

Akeno: "If you're going to ask about whatshisface, he's long gone and dead to me."

"I figured. Why wasn't he there that night?"

Akeno: "I don't know. He was on some mission. He said it was to retrieve some ancient relic and said he couldn't miss it. Bastard left you and mom to die."

She punched a tree, bruising her knuckles.

"I'll get stronger and make sure no one can ever take away what we care about again," you said, gently holding her knuckles.

Akeno: "I know you will."

You and Akeno then walked back home as you have a vision of a tree with apples in a strange room.

"A tree?" you thought. "It felt like it was calling for me."
