Everyone in the Goenka house was eagerly waiting for kartik's arrival. Even Naksh had arrived to meet kartik. Soon they saw the car arriving at doorstep. By then Dadi was ready with her aarti ki thaal to welcome her ladla poota kittu. Kartik arrived at doorstep along with the help of Manish and Naira.

Dadi-(with tears)Kittu

Kartik-Dadi mai theek hun.

The old lady started warding off the evil eye.

Dadi- Thu thu thu mere kittu ko kisi ki nazar na lage.

Swarna- Andar ajao kartik

After that kartik entered the house. His eyes searched for his son kairav who was surprisingly not present during his arrival.

Kartik- Kairav kahan hai?

Swarna- Kairav woh.......

Before anybody could tell him vansh and kairav came from behind the sofas screaming "Welcome Home Papa-Big Bro" and Naksh opened the party poppers with rest of the staff.

Kairav-(hugging him)Papa I missed you.

Kartik- Missed you too

Vansh-I missed you too big bro

Kartik-Missed you too

He hugged both of the kids.

Kairav- Mamu lekar aao  na?

Naksh-Haa

Kartik- Kya?

Kairav- Surprise hai

Naksh came with a cake.

Naira- Yeh kab plan kia apne?

Kairav- Maine mamu ko phone kia tha aur bola cake lekar aaneko.

Naksh brought the cake. It was a beautiful chocolate cake with a message written on it "World's Best Papa"

Kartik- Thank you so much aur aap world ke nahi nahi universe ke best son ho

They cut the cake and fed each other.
After sometime they were sitting in the hall and chit chatting with each other. Kairav was not leaving kartik for even one single moment.

Kairav- (slightly touching kartik's wound) Papa aapko pain ho raha hai?

Kartik- Nahi aab kam hai

Kairav- Jab mujhe chot lagti thi tab mumma na mujhe magic kiss deti thi toh apne aap dard kam ho jata tha. Mumma aap abhi papa ko magic kiss do

Naira was shy hearing this as rest all family members were giving her teasing looks. Kartik was enjoying seeing Naira turn red as a tomato.

Naksh- Naira chahe toh tum de sakti ho hum aankhen band kar lete hai

Naira- Bhai

Saying this she hid her face in her hands. Everyone laughed

Naksh-Accha aab mai bhi chalta hun

Kartik- Itni jaldi kyun baatein karte hai na

Naksh-Phir kabhi and tumhe bhi rest karna chahiye. Take care

Naksh left.

Dadi-Naira tum aur Kittu kamre mai jakar aram karo. Kal se bhaag-daud kar rahi ho aur kittu ko bhi aram chahiye na

Naira- Haa dadi

Naira and kartik came to their room.

Kartik- Finally apne room mai akar bohot accha lag raha hai

Naira- Pata hai kartik tum kal sirf ek raat ke liye nahi they iss kamre mai fir bhi maine tumhe bohot miss kia.

Kartik- Par maine nahi kia

Naira-Kyun?

Kartik- Kyunki tumhare kharaton ki kami papa ne puri kar di thi

Naira- Accha mai kharatein leti hun. Thik hai mai aaj kairav ke room mai so jati hun. Biwi se bhi chutkara aur kharaton se bhi

Kartik-Arey mai toh mazak kar raha tha

Naira- Accha chalo thodi der rest kar lo

Kartik-Tum bhi rest kar lo already meri wajah se bohot pareshan ho gayi ho

Naira-Sherni kabhi pareshan hoti nahi karti hai samjhe

Kartik- Haa haa samajh gaya tumhara mendhak. Chalo aao so jao

Naira and Kartik slept for sometime after a tiresome day. Later Swarna sent food for both Kartik and Naira in their room.

Naira- Kartik utho chalo khana kha lo

Kartik-Man nahi hai sone do na

Naira- Kairav bilkul tum par gaya hai wo bhi neend mai hota hai tab khana khane se mana karta hai.Kartik utho chalo medicines leni hai na tumhe toh uske liye khana padega na

Still kartik did not respond. Naira decided to play her trump card

Naira- Thik hai mat khao mai bhi nahi khaungi phir khana

Listening this kartik woke up and sat straight

Kartik-Aise kaise bhookhi rahogi tum. Mai khana kha raha hun

Naira opened the covered tray. It had two plates of khichdi. Naira knew kartik hated khichdi as he was already making faces.But doctor had advised him some light food which is healthy for speedy recovery.So she decided to give him company.

Naira- (taking a bite)Bohot yummy hai kartik

Kartik knew she was lying.

Kartik- (taking the plate from her hand)Naira tum yeh kyun kha rahi ho?Mujhe pata hai tumhe aisi halat mai masale wala khana pasand hai naki yeh boring si khichdi.

Naira- Nahi kartik sach mai mera man kar raha tha

Kartik- Mai janta hun tum mera man rakhne ke liye yeh kha rahi ho.

Naira lowers her head as she knows her lie got caught. Kartik lovingly cups her face in his hands.

Kartik- Tum na world ki best wife ho. Chalo ab  mere baby ko bhookh lagi hogi toh mai maa se kehkar tumhare liye kuch tasty khana lane bolta hun.

He was about to get up when she held his hand.

Naira- Maa ko mat bulao. Maine apne liye intezam kar lia hai tasty khane ka

Kartik- Kya

She took out a pickle bottle kept on the side table.

Naira- Yeh dekho aaj bhai aye they tab wo dekar gaye. Badi dadi ne mere liye bheja hai Imli ka khatta meetha achar. Dekh kar hi muh mai pani agaya.

Naira took some pickle on her plate and mixed it with some khichdi and took the bite. Kartik was adoring her. She saw kartik and took his plate from his hand and fed him with her hands. Kartik became naughty and bit her finger. She gave him an angry look. Later he took that finger and kissed it lovingly. They finished their dinner and then had their respective medicines. Naira applied ointment on kartik's wound very carefully,blowing air on it as if to ease the pain. After that they went to sleep unaware of the tough times that were going to come.
