chapter 6

*Ring , ring, ring, ring", my phone started vibrating. I diverted my eye's from his and looked down on my phone. It's kalyani. Thank god for helping me out of these awkward situation. But before I could answer, it got cut off.

"puja, you in there? I heard your phone ring?" Kalyani asked from outside the door. *knock knock*

"Yeah, I somehow got locked inside, here take the key and unlock the damm door", I replied as I gave her key from the little space down the door.

She unlocked the door, and came in, at first she didn't saw jiaer, and kept glaring at me in anger, as she lashed out, "What the hell puj-- ja?". Then her eyes caught a glimpse of jiaer and then she turned to him, as soon as she clearly saw him, she got shock as she almost screamed.

Before she could scream, I hold her mouth shut tight with my right hand, as I locked the door by my left hand. Taking my hand off, and finally catching breath, she asked, "Who is he? What's going on?"

"Shhhh... calm down. Here, sit down first", I said, as I sat her down on my bed. I need to make sure that she don't scream, I don't want a investigation in my room.

"How can I calm down? TELL ME EVERYTHING", last sentence, she said it as a warning.

I stood by her side as jiaer sat on my roomie's bed. For next five minutes, I explained her everything that happened from morning to now. Surprisingly, but thankfully she understood and trusted our situation and words. Except for the fact that we both ended up while trying to kill ourselves. And to that, I got an confused look from jiaer.

"Honestly, it's unbelievable. But since there was no news of jiaer about coming to india, or about his arrival, as you said then I think it might be true."

I looked at jiaer, and we both gave each other a nod of relief.

"So now, these time you got teleported?", kalyani turned to me and asked. I gave her a nod. To that she continued, "First, of all, did something weird happened to both of you yesterday?" as she stared between me and jiaer, one by one. 

I turned my head to jiaer, but he was looking at me for answering her question. I gulped hard. My pupils got small, as I turned to kalyani. To calm her down, I  blinked again and again, making puppy eye's.

"Puja, what did you do?", she asked, understanding the meaning behind my puppy eye's.

Instead of answering her question, I pulled up my sleeve and showed her my wrist. Her eye's shocked as she covered her mouth with both of her hands. Before she could ask anything, I turned to jiaer, "jiaer...", hearing his name, he understood what I meant, as he also rolled up his sleeves and showed her his wrist. This time, she abruptly stood up. "What the fuck is this?", looking between both of our wrists she continued with a  deep breath, "You two. Both of you. What The Fuck Is Going On?"

Looking at her concerned face, my guilt build up his house bigger inside me. I placed my hand on her shoulder and made her sat down. Then she asked us again, "Only two questions for both of you, when? and Why?"

"To your first question", I looked at jiaer as we both said at same time, "Last Night"

Then I continued, " And about second question, why not?"

"what?", kalyani responded in disbelief, and jiaer looked at me with something in his eye's which seemed like hurt, but maybe not. There's no way, I mean we've basically just met these morning.

"I just don't find any means to live on. Honestly, it's hard to live. I thought it would be better if I could just vanish", I replied looking down at my hand, as my two finger's were fighting with each other anxiously.

Kalyani went silent at my answer. As she wasn't saying anything, jiaer said, "For me, It was kind of same as puja. I just thought, why I am even living? I know, I am like 30 years old, so much older than you guys, and I shouldn't be saying stuff like these in front of you both. But, despite my age, I am a human too. And before trying to take my life, I was sure of one thing, that I'm EMPTY, I'm NOTHING. Trust me, I've tried everything in these world that I could, to feel this sharp pain of emptiness within me, but it's not going away. It's too heavy that it has started suffocating me and before I could have it end me, I wanted to end everything with me"

This is my first time hearing his part of story. As we had same eyes, same motive to die, I thought we are same, so I didn't actually asked him much. But, what I didn't expected was, we felt same way, we had same reasons. Despite all of it, hearing his reason's, my chest started to feel stiff like I couldn't breath. I don't know when? and how?, but tears started running down my check. When Jiaer turned to look at him, his eyes showed shock, and a cold feeling on my cheek, made me realize that I'm crying. I turned my head to the left, and wiped my tears.

Before I could realize, my tongue took control, "Emotion's and Feeling's doesn't require a particular age jiaer", as i heard my own husky voice, which I got from the few drops of tears, I diverted my eye's from his.

"Well... guess you are right", he replied hesitantly.

To end these awkwardness, I tried to joke, "Guess, I should call you jiaer UNCLE, rather than jiaer, since you are 10 years older than me."

It worked, as kalyani let out a small laugh. We both turned to look at her. 'Thank god' this is the only thing I could say. Thank god! she's fine. "It doesn't sound bad to me, UNCLE", to that me and kalyani, we both started laughing, and jiaer just glared at me. I mean, I'm not the only one laughing.

"You guys done", we both tried to stop laughing, as we covered our mouth's with hands. "Kalyani, I wouldn't mind you calling me anything.", then he turned to me, with a smirk forming on his face and mischief taking over his eye's and said, "As for you puja, I'm anything but a UNCLE. I wouldn't mind you calling me honey or baby either".

Hearing his word's, I froze in my place, as I stared into his eyes, gulping hard on my already dry mouth. Kalyani coughed making us both come out of our own world's.
