Jaden's (POV)

I woke up seeing that Logan and Laura were still sleeping so I decided to leave them in the tent.

"Those twins must be exhausted after the crazy few hours they've had trying to get their mom back." A voice says from behind me as I exit the tent.

I turn and see Tyler.

I simply nod responding "Yeah they don't quite understand how mommy is around their age when she's supposed to be around Uncle Thomas's age."

Tyler looks at me and responds "Yeah the gladers are pretty confused on it all as well."

"Hopefully (Y/N) won't be little for too long. It would be real nice to have my wife back." I tell him.

With that we say our goodbyes and go our separate ways in the Safe Haven.

                        Hours later

                      Thomas's (POV)

I wake up like it's a normal day in the Safe Haven.. but I feel something's different NO not different something's wrong very wrong..

I look around the hut that I share with Teresa.. and the realization hits me like a wave..

I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING! Panic sets in..  I get up and somehow make it to the door..

I know I hear a voice..

"Thomas are you ok? Talk to me what's wrong?" Teresa says panic lacing her voice.

I grab her hands and give them a squeeze I'm almost too scared to form the words..

"Tess I Can't See Anything. I think Tempest made me Blind." I tell her.

I feel her get me on my feet as we walk to the medjack hut..

The next voice I hear is Hope..

She's trying everything to try help me get my eyesight back..

"No that won't work.. No that won't work either.. I've never dealt with this even when I worked for WICKED!"

Teresa looks at Hope with worry in her eyes..

"Are you telling me Thomas could remain blind but you're not sure how long it will take for him to fully regain his eyesight?" Teresa asks..

"YES! I'm not sure what Tempest had in that modified Electric Bullet she hit him with at REVERSE WCKD that caused Thomas to go blind." Hope says.

Thomas glances out the door..

"I don't care if I can't see. As long this doesn't effect (Y/N) I'll be fine. I've survived a lot worse!" Thomas says.

Teresa walks over to him and gently grabs his hand..

"Thomas think about what you're saying you aren't able to see.. And you're saying that you're ok with that?" Teresa says a little shocked..

"Tess (Y/N) can't know that I've lost my eyesight." Thomas says.

"Why can't (Y/N) know that you lost your eyesight? It's like Hope said it shouldn't effect her." Teresa says to me.

"Tess it may not effect her but it just might cause her Hydrocephalus to flare up again." Thomas says.

"I don't need (Y/N) to stress out with the thought of me being blind. She's just a kid.. She has her whole life ahead of her." Thomas tells Teresa.

She looks at him sadness in her eyes.

"No Tess.. (Y/N) is Absolutely Not to know about this under any circumstances." He says his voice laced with anger..

Thomas and Teresa were unaware that (Y/N) was just outside the room and heard everything..

(Y/N'S) Heart drop her Big Brother can't SEE.. He's Blind..

(Y/N) Felt like she couldn't breathe.. she RAN into the woods of the Safe Haven and hid in the flower field..
