DON'T PLAY SONG YET!

The entire restaurant went quiet, all looking towards the table Alexis and Krista sat. Alexis was still standing in the booth with her hands on the table, staring into Krista's eyes.

Krista had a hand over her mouth and stayed quiet.

"You're not like other kids are you?" Krista after a while said quietly, Alexis tensed up.

"Normal is boring, why would I want to be boring?" Alexis said quietly, she smiled at Krista with her eyes closed and head tilted to the side.

"No it not that... You're special."

"Rude."

"No not like that," Krista quickly said before stopping and thinking. She was just about to say something as Max came in view of the two. Alexis plopped down in her seat before muttering to Krista.

"Don't you dare tell him," Alexis hissed and turned towards Max who started walking straight over to the table. "Daddy!" Alexis yelled quite innocently, stretching her arms out towards Max. Max took a seat next to Alexis as she wrapped her arms around Max's neck. Max hugged Alexis back before sitting her on the booth seat again. Alexis glared at Krista before going back and colouring.

"What'd I miss?"

Max just dropped Krista off at her dorm. While walking back to the car Max carried Alexis. It was around midnight and it amazed Max that she only fell asleep seconds ago. Max carried Alexis back to the car and strapped her in the back seat, fixing her sleeping arrangement so she wouldn't hurt her neck. Max sat in the front seat, started the car before driving home.

Once her reached his house he turned off the ignition, opened his car door, closed it, walked over to Alexis's door, opened it, picked her up and shut the door. He closed the car door and started walking inside of the house. He unlocked the front door and took off his and Alexis's jacket, hanging them on the coat rack. There was a light on in the kitchen while every other light was off.

Max walked over to the kitchen and saw Ross sitting at the table. He had a laptop in front of him and waved at Max as he walked in.

"You're still awake?" Max asked making Ross flinch from the sudden noise. Ross nodded before yawning.

"How was it?" Ross asked, taking his glasses off and rubbing his eyes.

"It went pretty well, Alexis behaved way better than I thought she would amd ate more than I expected her to. Tonight, I would count it as a win if anything." Ross nodded and shut the lid of his laptop. "I'm going to put Alexis to bed, night Ross."

"Night Max," Ross replied, standing up and stretching.

Max went to the fridge, pulled out the jug of milk and poured a glass into a cup. He put it in the microwave and took the wool coat off Alexis's shoulders. Alexis opened her eyes sleepily before she gave Max a small smile.

"Tired baby?" Max asked and Alexis nodded. "I would expect so, its way after your bedtime." Alexis nodded again as Max sat her on the kitchen island. Max took the cup out of the microwave after it beeped and poured half of the milk into a sippy cup. He handed the cup to Alexis, who took it gratefully.

Max finished his cup before placing it in the sink. He picked Alexis back up and carried her to her room, her cup still in her hands.

Max changed Alexis into a yellow onesie and tucked her into bed. He grabbed the cup and turned off the light, only a night light on. He closed the door before making his way back downstairs and placing the cup in the sink, dumping the remaining drink down the drain. Max undid his tie and jogged back to his room.

Max changed into a pair of pj pants, being to tired to put a shirt on, and jumped in bed. He fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

R O S S

I went downstairs the next day and opened my laptop up again.

'America's Got Talent 2016 Could You Be The Next Star?'

Ever since I saw this ad it had been bugging me. I would never try out but honestly I think Alexis might make it... who am I kidding she would win the entire thing.

Alexis is amazing at singing. When she sings she doesn't sound like herself, her voice gets lower and she sounds older. Almost matching the singers tone of voice.

Only problem was getting Max's approval on this. I really don't think Max would even consider doing this.

Won't hurt to at least try.

I could hear the small pitter patter of foot steps coming towards me. I looked up to see Alexis walking into the kitchen.

"Morning Unckie Raws," Alexis said rubbing her eye, dragging he yellow blanket behind her. She walked over to me and hugged me, I hugged her back and set her down on a chair.

"Good morning Lex," I greeted her typing on my laptop. I go over to YouTube, turning down the volume before clicking on a Nightcore song Alexis loves to listen to.

I started to record Alexis on my phone as she started singing along, swinging her legs in the chair.

Hey girl, open the walls, play with your dolls.
We'll be a perfect family.
When you walk away, it's when we really play
You don't hear me when I say,
Mom, please wake up.
Dad's with a slut, and your son is smoking cannabis
No one ever listens, this wallpaper glistens
Don't let them see what goes down in the kitchen.

Places, places, get in your places
Throw on your dress and put on your doll faces.
Everyone thinks that we're perfect
Please don't let them look through the curtains.
Picture, picture, smile for the picture
Pose with your brother, won't you be a good sister?
Everyone thinks that we're perfect
Please don't let them look through the curtains.

D-O-L-L-H-O-U-S-E I see things that nobody else sees.
(D-O-L-L-H-O-U-S-E I see things that nobody else sees)
Hey girl, look at my mom, she's got it going on
Ha, you're blinded by her jewelry.
When you turn your back she pulls out a flask
And forgets his infidelity.
Uh-oh, she's coming to the attic, plastic
Go back to being plastic.

No one ever listens, this wallpaper glistens
One day they'll see what goes down in the kitchen.

Alexis got down from her chair and started skipping around the kitchen.

Places, places, get in your places
Throw on your dress and put on your doll faces.
Everyone thinks that we're perfect
Please don't let them look through the curtains.
Picture, picture, smile for the picture
Pose with your brother, won't you be a good sister?

Hey girl (hey girl, hey girl, hey girl, hey girl)
Hey girl, open your walls, play with your dolls
We'll be a perfect family.

When the song ended Alexis just stood in the middle of the kitchen. Loud footsteps could be heard, Alexis looked out of the kitchen and started running towards the footsteps.

"Unckie Tim g'morning!" Alexis said happily from down the hall.

"Good morning to you too Lex!" Tim greeted happily as he walked into the kitchen.

"Morning," I said going back onto my laptop looking at the places auditions were being held.

"Morning Ross," Tim greeted walking over to the fridge. "What you want for breakie Lex?" Tim asked with Alexis next to him.

"Toast please," Alexis said and Tim nodded, taking out a slice for her and popping it into the toaster. "I'm gonna go wake Daddy up, be right back." Alexis skipped out of the kitchen and towards Max's room.

"Tim come look at this," I said and Tim walked over. I showed him the ad and he just shrugged.

"What about it? Unless you have some sort of hidden talent you're not telling me about, we would have no chance," Tim said walking back over to the fridge and pulling out the jug of milk, pouring himself a glass.

"Not us Tim, I'm talking about Alexis!" I said and Tim spat out his milk into the sink and started laughing.

"Dude she four."

"Your point is? There was a two year old in China that performed," I said pulling up the video of Alexis singing on my phone, playing it.

"That's Alexis?" Tim asked, I nodded.

"It was just this morning too," I told Tim and he nodded. "Please help me convince Max, I really think she has a shot at winning."
