During (part 2)
Esther's nightmare from just that morning raced through her frantic mind as the sirens grew louder.
It started with she and Kirstie cuddling in bed, like they were the night before the dream occurred.
But instead of a hotel room, they were in a grand room of a castle straight out of a fairy tale.
The walls were stone, giving the air a chill and the air a sharp, earthy smell.
Suddenly, the walls began to crumble, as well as the floor supporting the bed.
Esther's heart leapt to her throat as she watched the scene unfold.
She thought of Kirstie and she knew she needed to wake her up and get her out of here.
But when she looked down, Kirstie wasn't there.
Her heartbeat somehow got faster. She called to Kirstie, but got no answer.
Her throat began to feel sore from yelling over the self-destruction of their dream castle.
There was a thundering crack! and Esther found herself falling.
Her breath hitched.
There was debris falling with her, but they surrounded her. Esther couldn't fight the feeling they didn't intend to help break her fall.
Esther...
"Kirstie!" Esther called, a small spark of hope igniting in her chest at the sound of her lover's voice.
She looked around, trying to find Kirstie.
She suddenly heard the soft tinkling of shattering glass and saw a blonde blur flash across her vision.
I'm sorry...
"Kirstie!" Esther yelled, holding out her hand, even though she knew it was futile.
Grief made her throat close up and her eyes water.
She closed her eyes, a few tears escaping them.
She suddenly stopped falling, but she hadn't hit the ground yet.
She opened her eyes and nearly had a heart attack.
The bridge of her nose was mere centimeters from a pure white floor.
She felt herself being pulled upwards.
She was now levitating.
Then, she slowly floated down until her feet touched the ground.
As soon as she was standing firmly on the ground, bursts of color sprung from her feet.
The floor beneath her turned into an old, poorly maintained road. Above her was a pitch black with a sea of stars rolling through the blackness. Around her were countless trees.
Clouds rolled in, covering the stars. It began to rain.
She looked forward and didn't see the beauty of nature before her. What she saw was carnage and wreckage.
The tour bus was turned on its side.
There was someone on the ground nearby.
Help me, Esther...
"Kirstie," Esther gasped. She took off running to the body, falling to her knees beside it.
It was Kirstie all right. The eyebrow piercing, the short, blonde hair, the olive skin.
Blood was pooling beneath Kirstie's head.
Esther let out a sob as she lifted Kirstie into her arms.
The tender moment between the two was short-lived, for the smaller blonde had faded into dust, blown away by the chilly late-March breeze.
That was when Esther had woken up.
Now, she was sitting outside a hospital room, biting her nails and fighting tears, wishing she would just wake up from this dreadful nightmare.

Sorry this is so short and kinda crappy. I just thought I would kind of describe Esther's nightmare and kind of get a peek at her feelings.
I hope you enjoyed it despite the quantity and quality.
