Before I met you, I never knew what it was like to be able to look at someone and smile for no reasons.

Next Day :

Neil, like every other day wake up early in the morning., After freshen up he made his way to the in house built gym on the ground floor.. He passes through Avni's room amd thought to check on her..

She didn't lock her door, so he slowly opened it not wanting to disturb though she won't wake up even if you put loud music system near her ears..

As he had thought, she was sleeping covered all in the comforter.. only her face was visible..

Neil : you made my day.. he whispers to himself gazing at her.. With a smile he close the door and made his way to the gym..

After doing his daily workout for more than an hour he went back to his room to get ready for the day..

He wore a white shirt with grey trouser.. He comb his hair perfectly for five minutes and put his brown leather belt watch on his hand. He took his grey coat with same colour tie, his phones, car key and files before making his way out of the room..

It was close to 7:30 A.M. and he knows Avni is not an early riser and as much as the idea of waking her up early and see her irritated face, he decide to let her sleep knowing she must be jet legged..

He was busy making breakfast when his phone rangs...

Neil : Good morning sista.. he answerd Meher's call smilingly putting the plates on the dining table..

Meher : Good morning Bhai.. Is Avni awake.?? Meher greeted and ask hurriedly about Avni..

Neil : I don't think so.. why.?? He peek at the stairs..

Meher : uff, ye ladki.. Bhai we have an early morning meeting, and she is for sure sleeping right now.. please wake her up.. we have to leave asap..

Neil : okay, I'll do i---... He halt in his steps hearing a sudden thud..

Neil went to the stairs from where he heard the noise.. The papers were scattered on the floor and Avni was sitting on ome of the step of the stairs fixing her heels.. her hair was all over her face and she was muttering some gibberish under her breathe..

Meher : Bhai everything okay.. she asked worriedly..

Neil : Yeah.. everything's okay.. it just Avni woke up..

Meher : Thank God!!.. Bhai tell her to be ready I'll be there soon.. Bye..

Neil cut the call and went to her who was cursing either files or stairs or her heels.. don't know..

Neil : Good morning Junglee billi.. he greets her with a big smile, it was indeed a good morning for him.. But instead of getting a greeting in return which is normal, he got a murderous look from her.. She turn her face and started collecting the papers.,

Neil : you need any help..

Avni : No.,, she replied ruedly and get up..

Neil : Okay.. He didn't say anything again.. seems like someone woke up on the wrong side of bed..

After collecting all the paper and putting them in a file she fished out her phone.. Neil stood there silently observing her impatient figure waiting for whoever she called to answer her call..

Avni : You're not going away like that bro., She said to her phone.. and again called Abeer.. It looks like Abeer is going to hear some holy words from his sister..

As soon as Abeer answer the call Avni burst out..

Avni : Bro, what's your problem huh.?? Why did you do that..??

Neil sigh and lean again the wall.. Again this brother sister started..

Avni : No.. I'm not forgiving you.. and better bring chocolates on your way then I'll think about it.. Bye.. She cut the call without waiting for his reply and turn around..

Avni : oh.. Hii.. she smile at him rubbing her arm little as she remember her outbrust on him earlier...

Neil : May I know what I did to deserve such a murderous greeting early in the morning... He folded his hand to his chest.. Avni smile sheepishly at him..

Avni : I was.. I was just not in a good mood..

Neil : And now you are.. huh!!.. waise why you're not in a good mood.??. He asked taking the files from her hand an put it on the side table..

Avni : I hate early morning meetings.. she said making a disgusting face.. Neil put his hand around her shoulder, making their way to the dining table..

Neil : So I become the victim.. right..

Avni : It's not like that.. Bro had put 10 alarms in my phone.. So I was angry at him.. I think I should change my password and.. Damn., you really have a good choice.. it looks beautiful.. she look around the dining area adoring in navy blue and grey..

Neil : That I have.. he said admiring her while she was oblivious to it...

Avni : You need to give me a proper house tour.. she said sitting on one of the chair at the dining table...

Neil : Will do, today later.. He went to the kitchen and bring their breakfast..

Avni : you cook this.. She eyed scrambled eggs with bacon and pancakes he placed before her..

Neil : Yupp.. I'm multitalented..

Avni : uh-huh!!.. Again self praising.. she gave him a boring look..

Neil : why not.. you should love yourself..

Avni : you are the male version of Kreena Kapoor.. "Main apni favourite hun".. She laugh at him giving him a hand to hi-fi..

Neil : Ha.. ha.. very funny.. he swat her hand away.. she again laugh but this time he also chuckles..

Avni : Chaii.. please.. or I'll get a headache..

Neil : Should have guess.. he went to back to kitchen to get her Tea..

Avni took a bite of the pancakes made by him and her eyes widened in surprise, it was really really good..

He is definitely a great cook., and suerly better than her.. she hardly knows how to cook.. but she won't tell him or else again his long speech of self praising will start..

Neil : by the way, when will you be free..?? He came back with her tea in one hand and his phone in another..

Avni : I don't know... why.?? She asked him as he settled beside her..

Neil : A little birdie told your new new bestfriend that you have put your foot on the land of London and now he is ready to kill to meet you...

Avni : Zach.. she beamed with joy..

She didn't had much contact with Zach and Ariana but she had little conversation here and there whenever they're around Neil.. They both are sweethearts and lovely couple.. Avni also attend their wedding virtually..

Neil : yes Zach.. I've to block his number.. he rolled his eyes..

Avni : So mean..

Neil : Ofcourse you'll take your bestfriend side.. he narrowed his eyes at her..

Avni : I also want to meet them.. She said ignoring his comment and take a sip of her tea..

Avni : They're looking so beautiful in their wedding.. I just want to jump out from the phone and enjoy their Catholic wedding.. Her eyes glistens as she dreamily sigh remembering their wedding.. she was on video call from start till end..

Neil : Don't you think you should thank me for that..? I've shown you their whole wedding ceremony..

Avni : Oh Hello.!! That was your friend who shown me the whole ceremony.. you're standing beside Zach like a statue.. she rolled her eyes finishing her Tea..

Neil : So what.., Phone to mera tha..

Avni : Phone tumhara tha, So what..!! She wiped her hands and stood up..

Neil : ungreatful Junglee billi.. he followed her towards the living room..

Avni again ignore his comment and took her files from the table..

Neil : when will you get free.??. He took his laptop and check his phone for DD's message..

Avni : Probably by lunch or before that..

Neil : cool then, I'll tell Zach to come by Noon, anyways it's not like he's leaving my office or me before meeting you...

Avni laugh as both of them made their way out after he remind her not to forget her coat..

Neil : How are you going anyways.??

Avni : Bro and Meher will pick me up.. they'll be here any minute.. she said wearing her winter coat..

Her hair got tangled as she leaves them open.. He stood behind her and took out her hair from the coat..

Neil : Abeer is coming with you.??

Avni : yup can't stay away from his wife.. she said straightening her hair looking in the car window after giving him a thankful smile..

Avni : What.?? She asked when she saw him looking at her without blinking..

Neil : Nothing.. it just that.. Acchi lag rahi ho.. he took a step closer to her and put his one hand beside her on the car.. Her back touch his chest slightly.. Today she is wearing a white shirt tucked in a black high waist pants with black high open toe heels giving a perfect formal look...

Neil : All the best for the meeting.. he whispers slowly in her ear and a kissed her head..

Avni : Th.. thank you.. she tight her grip on file as she turn her face to look directly at his brown eyes.. He moved away her hair lock from her face and tucked it behind her ear..

Avni : what.?? She again asked in a whispers as he kept looking at her with his captivating brown eyes amd smile on his face.. he shook his head silently without saying anything but kept his eyes lock with her..

Their moment was broke by a sound of horn.. Neil turn his head to the entrance and see a car enter the drive way..

Avni : That must be Bro.. She once again take a glance at the car window and run her hands through her hair..

Avni : I gotta go.. Bye.. Neil nodded and step back to give her way.. She had barely taken two steps when she stops and turn around..

Avni : hey., I'm not gonna give you any reward.. she remember him wishing her for the meeting..

Neil : Don't worry.. I'll take it.. I've my ways.. He winked at her circling his car keys..

Avni was about ask him what he meant by that but Meher called her... She made her way to the car and sat on the backseat.. Abeer pulled the car out of the driveway after waving at Neil..

Meher : Good morning lazy head..

Avni : Good morning to you too Bhabhi..
She tease her back putting the files beside her and started munching on the chocolate she demand to Abeer as soon as she sat in the car..

Meher : Did you and Bhai again fought..?? She asked turning in her seat and face her..

Abeer : wrong question Meher, Ask did she fought with him Again.??

Avni : No we didn't, and Bro remember to bring 5 more chocolates for offending me..

Abeer : Neela ma ko na bata dun lane se pehle..

Avni : she wont scold me.. after all I've cut down my purchase of chocolates from almost three months..

Abeer : sure you've and suerly she won't scold you until amd unless I tell her to check your room..

Avni : What do you mean.?? She asked in horror while Meher chuckles..

Abeer : If you forget then I'm still the one waking you up every morning except weekends..

She bite her tongue and hit her forhead slightly.. and here she thought she is able to hide her stock of chocolates from everyone..

Meher : Also, Neela ma was asking few days ago that the delivery boy is paying visit more often.. why.??

Avni : h..y-.. Ye..Yeah so it was not my fault... your brother is sending., I'm not asking him.. she look out of the window avoiding Meher teasing look..

Abeer : Sure you're not.. he laugh a seeing her red tinted face..

Meher : Accha leave that and tell me did you have a fight with Bhai..

Avni : why you think we'll fight early in the morning..

Abeer : well, you guys can fight any time despite of place and surrounding so.. he shrugged casually..

Avni : No we didn't fight in the morning.. happy..

Meher : I thought my brother is romantic and after we surprise him with his Junglee billi, he'll be very happy and won't let her leave him but here.. you didn't even give her a goodbye hug or kiss.. Friends also at least hug each other before leaving..

Abeer : True.. he agree with his wife..

Avni eyes widened at her bold reply and her mind went blank for few seconds but soon she order her mind to recover and snatched the phone from Meher and cut the call directly without hearing what Neil was saying., she glare at Meher.. did she lost her mind.?? Till yesterday she was blushing at the endearment Abeer uses for her now look how bold she became in a day..

Avni : Are you out of your mind Meher..

Meher : I just say what I wanted to see..

Avni : Since when you became this bold.. she glanced at Abeer expecting him to anwer but he shrugged his shoulder..

Meher : we are talking about you and Bhai not me.. So tell me why are you guys so boring..

Avni : Meher shut up.., she look out of the window not believing the fact that her best friend, who used to be so shy was teasing her infront of her husband..

Meher : Don't be shy Avni.. I thought you guys won't leave each other meeting like after 5 months but you both are behaving as if you're seeing each other after few days not months.. even at the airport I expect a hug atleast but you both disappoint me there also.. she shook her head as her face show disappointment..

Abeer : yeah, that was truely disappointing..

Avni: Bro, you too..

Abeer : Why not.. I thought the amount of romantic novels you've read, Neil will be the luckiest guy and going to live a life full of romance.. and as much as I know Neil he is one of a hell romantic guy but you both here are way boring than 80's couple.. I must tell..

Meher : I was going to take some tips from you but here you seemed to be in dire need of them..

Avni : How come not hugging for once means we are boring..

Meher : Then you are not.. huh.??

Abeer : Then prove it wrong..
They both simultaneously said making her jump a little in her seat and also because Abeer park the car at their destination with a screech...

They are going to the beach where Neil asked them to come.. Rohan and Ashi are already there.. and he too on his way, so was Zach and Ariana..

After the teasing session with Mehbeer and them telling her how much she had disappoint them, they went to the meeting, Avni was never this relieved as much as she was today before the boring meeting..

As soon as they completed their work, Avni demand food saying her system won't work if it didn't feed properly.. so after the meeting the trio Meher Abeer and Avni went to have lunch in a restaurant nearby the office.. And now Avni is teasing Abeer with the guy who can't stop looking at his wife the whole time..

Avni : Bro, you okay... why are you driving rash.??. she asked innocently.. Meher chuckles but soon covered up when her husband glare at her.. Abeer pull the break of the car as they reached the beach..

Abeer : I'll get you for this soon.. both of you.. very soon.. He was clearly pissed off with their teasing... He went out of the car closing the door with a thud..

Meher went behind a grumpy Abeer trying to talk to him as they made their way lookimg for the others while Avni kept laughing.. Meher gave her a look to stop but it made her laugh more.. She laughingly followed them..

Ashi : What happen to Abeer.?? Avni wave her hand like a child as she found Rohan Ashi sitting on the sand and Rohan reply to her action in a same way..

Meher : Nothing.. She turn around and give Abeer a smile to which he turn his face other side.

Avni : yea..yeah Nothing happened.. she coughed controlling the erupting laugh..

Abeer : Ha..Ha.. Ha.. haslo jitna hasna hai.. your time will come soon.. He said as he settled down beside Rohan.. Avni stuck out her tongue at him and sat beside Ashi..

Neil : Very mature.. He said from behind her.. He just came on time when Abeer left the car grumpily and the other two were laughing at him.. He followed them here and now standing few steps away from her..

Avni : what did you say.?? She narrow her eyes fidgeting with her heels straps as she try to open them..

Zach push everything he was holding to Neil and hug Avi bear and his wife who was already hugging Avni..

Both Husband and wife call her Avi bear since the day they saw her wearing cute night dress with bear printed on it, when she was talking to Neil, So from there they pick it up and Avni never mind it..

Zach : Finally, I got a chance to meet you..

Avni : Yes, I was also waiting to meet you guys.. I'm so happy.. how are you.?? She spoke faster than a metro..

Zach :We are good and now even more..

Ariana : we'll have lots and lots of fun..

Avni : without a doubt.. she reply to which they hug her even more tighter..

Neil : Okay.. guyzz, enough.. you'll choke her.. He pulled Zach back after putting the things which Zach pushed in his hands..

Ariana : My my.. so caring.. She said dramtically and settled beside Avni.. She further smile at Ashi as she made some space for her..

Zach : Huh.. Caring.?? He's jealous of me.. He not so gently pushed Neil away who was about to sit on the other side of Avni and made himself comfortable beside her..

Neil : what the heck dude..

Zach : what.?? He asked innocently..

Avni : I don't care.. now bear with it.. saying so she threw the sand at him.. her aim was to throw on his shirt but her angle got a little higher and it went in his hair..

A series of gasp was followed after her action., Avni put her hand on her mouth looking at Neil with wide..

Avni didn't need to tell twice as she pick up the pace and run to save her life., thankfully she removed her heels earlier..

Meher shook her head at them and lean on Abeer shoulder., he too wrapped his arm around her., Ashi rolled her eyes while Rohan went back to his phone..

But Zach and Ariana were looking tense.. Neil's hair is dangerous thing to mess with and he can be worst if someone plays with it.. Neil loves his hair way too much..

Zach : Did she just..mess with his hair.. his hair... he asked with wide eyes..

Others gave a glance at Avneil running around and shrugged their shoulder...

Zach : Guys don't you think we should do something.. he asked after seeing them drown in their own world..

Abeer : About what.??

Zach : About Avni and Neil.. Neil seems to be very angry, what if it gets worst... he doesn't let anyone mess with his hair..

Rohan : Don't worry about them.. you'll get used to..

Meher : or may be you are used to it..

Ashi : Look over there.. she tilted her head to the right where Avneil were, near the shores..

Neil had a hanful of sand and was trying to put it in Avni's hair while Avni was trying her best to save her hair..

Zach : they are fighting beacuse of me.. he was sad as he was the reason of their fight..

Rohan : they are not..

Ashi : They just need a reason to fight..

Meher : A good for nothing reason specifically..

Ariana and Zach were looking at them completely surprised at them.. Ariana turned to look at Avneil again but her jaw drop seeing table turn around so quickly, Now Avni is smacking Neil again and again..

Zach followed her gaze and he too gape at them.. He was all prepared with a long list of teasing for them.. He had always seen them talking lovingly and cuetly.. He had seen Neil's longing for Avni... he had seen him smiling foolishly staring at the screen while she talk, talk and talk.. Everytime her name was mentioned a smile always crept on his face.. He had expect some cute and romantic momemts between them but this.. he had not at all expected this..

Zach : but how.. come.. they are.. I.--

Abeer : didn't you see them in these past months.. They are fighting even on video calls..

Ariana : No way.. We've not even once see this.. it's more shocking than surprising..

Rohan : Are you serious... he sit straight leaving his phone..

Abeer : They can't even talk to each other like a civilized people more than two minutes.. we've witnessed it many times..

Zach : And we've witnessed Neil staring at your sister and listening her rambles like a fool straight for an hour.. without a single bickering.. He shoot back what he noticed about Avneil..

Abeer : you might be dreaming..

Zach : I swear, you can ask DD or heri also.. He pinched his throat... Abeer sat straight and glare at Avneil who was now runing around each other..

Abeer : If it's true, then I.. I don't know what will I do.. Neela ma was on verge of getting high blood pressure because of them.. Heck, the main reason to brought Avni here is that atleast they'll behave cordially after spending time with eachother..

Ariana : It's good that you brought her here.. and trust me Neil was very much happy.. I've never seen him this much happy..

Zach : well it is a truth, everyday he would wait impatiently for her one call..

Abeer : They both will make us mad someday..

Zach : It seriously unbelievable.. he shook his head with a disbelief look on his face as he turns around to see Avneil.. his jaw drop again when he saw both of them coming towards them laughing on something with their hands entwined..

Rohan : I have a best solution for them.. he said when he saw Zach nearly to get unconscious..

He stood up stretching his arms.. He then bent down putting his hand on both of his knees and say..

Rohan : Leave them on their own... he said in a tone as if he is saying a top secret.. Ashi glared at him and punched the side of his thigh..

Meher : I think Rohan is right..

Rohan : See I'm always right.. he soothed his thigh giving his wife 'I-know-I'm-the-best'.. look

Ashi : Don't fly Mr. It's one time thing..

Abeer : And anyways we need some relaxing time.. so it's better if we let them do whatever they want.. All agreed with him..

Avni : what are you all talking about.??  She asked as they came towards them..

Rohan : I was just giving them some life advice..

Avni : Accha, what advice you give them??. She held her as they kept flying in the air..

Rohan : To live the life happily ignoring two stupid minx.. he gave them a smug smile..

Neil : whom you are referring to.?? He asked before the little bomb beside him blast..He tighten his hold on her hand preventing her to attack Rohan..

Meher : Leave that.., let's go and see the sunset.. Rohan pass her greatful smile for saving him from the situation...

Abeer : We can see it from here.. and Aslo there is still some time for the sun to set..

Meher : No we don't have anytime.. get up.. there is a place I know from where we can see a beautiful sunset.. and it will take time to reach there.. come on everyone get up..

Ashi : I am in.. she stood up followed by Ariana and Abeer..

Zach : Do we really have to go..

Avni : Yes, trust me you'll love it. She squeals in excitement.

Neil : you know the place.?? His brows creased as he look at her.

Avni : Yes, It's same place my friend Kavya told us once., Kavya and Rishi, her boyfriend came here last year and he proposed her there, she showed us romantic photo shoot of them with a beautiful sunset behind them..

Zach : Well then let's go..

Rohan : yup yup.., I can't wait to click a picture with my beautiful wife there.. He wrapped his arms around Ashi and kisses her cheek..

Meher leads the way for the others as she suddenly became more excited to see the sunset..

They have to walk through a narrow road of the forest which was on the left of the beach... All the boys were helping their respective partner on the old narrow road with the overlapping tree branches at the top..

Neil : Avni you'll hurt yourself... He said for the nth time in past 1 hour as he saw her taking careful steps avoiding few little and sharp stones.. Avni was walking barefoot and he had been telling her to wear her heels but she is not at all listening...

Avni : I won't., and please can you walk fast, others are way ahead of us.. she tug his hand beckon him to walk faster..

Instead of doing what she asked he stop walking making her also halt in her steps as he was holding her hand tightly...

Avni : Now what.? She asked iritatedly.. she don't want to miss the sunset..

Neil : wear your heels..

Avni : and broke my legs... No thanks she rolled her eyes and shook her head trying to push away her hair falling on her face.. Her one hand was in his tight grip while the other one was holding her heels...

Neil came closer to her and move away her hair from the face..

Neil : I won't let you fall, I promise.. you'll hurt yourself if you won't wear it, there are stones and might even have insects.. He said in a soft voice the caressing her cheeks...

Avni : But I'm fine... I didn't hurt myself for once.. I don't want to wear the heels.. she sigh sadly pouting in the end..

Neil : You won't listen, right..

Avni : No, and now it'll be really good if you stop walking like a tortoise... she said and move her head to look ahead to see if any of the others are in sight or not.. But before she locate anyone she was pulled back with a force and in a second she was lifted up in air, in his arms..

Avni : what.. what are you doing.?? She asked bewildered.. But he didn't answer her and continue his walk..

Avni : Neil.., put me down.. what are doing..

Neil : Flying Aeroplane..

Avni : Neil, it's not funny.. put me down.. she wriggle in his arm only for him to tighten his hold..

Neil : Stop moving, you'll make both of us fall..

Avni : Put me down then..

Neil : If you'd wear your heels then I don't have to pick you up.. and why are you whining.. It's me who should be.. He carefully walk on the sloppy way and preventing her head from bumping anywhere..

Avni : Did you mean... I'm fat.. she glared at him but he shrugged his shoulder..

Avni : you just wait... she tight her hold around his neack putting much weight on him..

Neil : what you doing, and move that heels of yours.. it's ruining my shirt.. He stop for a while and hold her properly again..

Neil : Junglee billi.. He glared at her when she intentionally put her heels on his back..

Avni : What.??

Neil : I'll wake you up at 5 tomorrow and will make you wash this shirt three times..

Avni : well then I should do the honour properly..??

Neil : sure ., why not.. but every time it'll touch my shirt you'll get this.. he said and kissed her cheek.. Ah, How much he is waiting for this moment. She was left dumbfounded with it as the heat crawled to her face..

Neil : Thrice.. he said few seconds later when she didn't say anything..

Avni : huh.?? She asked lost in her thoughts.. He smiles looking at her lost expression...

Neil : Your heels touch my back three times madam.. he whispers close to her ears and gave a sweet peck on her ear..

Neil : One down, two to go.. He winked at her.. She looks down biting her lower lip..

Neil : One more time Junglee billi.. Three again..

Avni : What., I didn't do anything.. trust me, it didn't touch... she argue back..

Neil : It did and look here we reached. His words made her look ahead at the cliff where others are standing.. It was close to the sunset and view was exquisite..

Avni : Neiiilll.. she called him tapping his shoulder as he was also looking around..

Avni : Put me down., she whispers when he look at her with raised eyes..

Rohan : Ohh, look what we've... His voice rang at the cliff gaining everyone's attention.. As all followed his gaze their expression changes from tired to aww and teasing..

Meher : Ahem.. Ahem.. she fake coughed giving them a teasing look..

Ashi : la.. la..la.. lala.. she sang while Rohan and Abeer wipe away their fake tears and hug each other as if they had got themselves written in the book of Guinness world records..

Ariana have this big smile on her face as she look at the couple before her eyes..while Zach stand behind her and winked at Neil with amusements glistenin his eyes..

Abeer : I didn't knew my sista will listen to me and prove me wrong this early.. he pass a teasing smile reminding her morning talk...

Avni : see, this is why I told you to put me down, Now bear the teasing.. She put her chin on his shoulder and look behind not wanting to face anyone..

Neil : Who's gonna bear it.. Just ignore them.. He replied casually and walk towards where Meher was seated on a mat.. he have no idea from where she get a mat.. He stand beside Meher and put Avni down on her feet..

Neil : seriously Meher, This place you're talking about.. he asked before anyone opened their mouth to tease them..

Abeer : Why, it's beautiful and romantic.. A teasing smile was still playing on his face..

Zach : yeah, isn't it pretty cool and perfect for the couples??.. he said looking around..

Neil : Ofcourse it's cool, come I'll show you something.. you too Abeer.. he dragged both Zach and Abeer to the end of the cliff..

Abeer : woah, dude are pushing us off the cliff.. I'm a married man.. if you forgot..

Neil : Shut up.. and see there, he points downwards to his right side on the beach where they were sitted previously..

Zach : oh, that's where we sitted.. right.??

Neil : dumb.. look behind it.. both Zach and Abeer look where he was pointing.. There were steps in between few trees.. They followed the step, it was made like a stairs.. Their jaw drops when they realised it was a short cut to the cliff they are standing...

Abeer : Did you know about this.?? He went to Meher and asked with a look of betrayal..

Meher and Avni look at each other and smile sheepishly at them..

Zach : Avi bear you also know about the route..

Rohan : woah.,  did we seriously got betrayed.. Rohan said with his amazing overacting skills as his face show a fake hurt look..

Avni : don't blame me.. I know it was me who wants to take the forest route but when Meher went ahead I thought she'll take the short cut.. its not my fault that she leads you to the longer one.. she shrugged her shoulder and All the pair of eyes move to Meher..

Meher : Don't look at me like that.. you guys enjoy the long way to here..

Rohan : Yeah right..!.  My legs surely did enjoy it..! He rolled his eyes and slumped down on the ground beside Meher..

Zach : Okay, let's just forget it.. It was anyways fun to trek a little.. and thank you girls for that.. His appreciation bought a bigger smiles on both of their face..

Neil and Ariana glance at each other and glared at Zach..

Zach : The view is amazing let's click some pictures.. he hurriedly say and drag Ariana away before she or Neil say something..

If something Zach hates is walking through the forest... and because of him they had to turn down many of their trekking plans..

The first and the last camping they did, half of the time they had spent hearing Zach's hatred towards it. And After that not a single time he agreed for the trekking..

Neil shook his head and sat beside Avni.. But Ashi came and dragged Meher and Avni with her for girls pictures..

Rohan patted Neil's back sympathetically and said he can understand his pain.. Neil rolled his eyes at him and turned ahead to see a sulking Zach facing the girls..

Ariana dumped Zach and joined the girls squad and made Zach their personal photographer..

Abeer joined Neil and Rohan on the mat talking randomly about something.. everytime Abeer or Rohan brought Avni's topic to tease him he would swiftly turn down the topic..

After clicking Babaji knows how many pics, The girls get tired and made themselves comfortable on the mat..

As Avni approaches near Neil he held out his hand for taking her completely surprised.. But still she hold his hand smiling and sat beside him..

The sun is going down and everyone was settled beside their respective partners and enjoying the cold breeze looking at the sunset..

Whole time Neil was holding her hand and glancing at her every now and then..

Avni : Neil, stop it.. Her cheeks were red due to his intense gaze..

Neil : Stop what..?? He said directly looking at her eyes and this time not remove his gaze... she look away from him without saying anything..

But after that Neil shamelessly gaze at her while playing with her fingers.. She bites her lips and rub her cheeks slightly to fade away the blush and lean down on his shoulder as tiredness kicked her and also to get save from his intense gaze..

As the night fall, Rohan stood up dragging Ashi to click pictures of them.. Zach and Ariana followed them while Mehbeer to went leaving Avneil..

Neil shook his head when Abeer wink at him mouthed 'enjoy' before going...

Avni hugged her coat tightly feeling the chilled cold breeze..

Neil : looks like London weather is not your friend.. he lean back on his one hand gazing at her as her other hand play with her fingers..

Avni : Don't worry it'll take few days but we will eventually become friends..

Neil : you have to.. As you're going to come here again for a long long time..

Avni : and what if I don't want to.. she faced him raising her brows..

Neil : well then It's my duty to make you fall in love with this city so that you can't stay away.. he said with big grin and come closer to her..

Neil : and trust me I'm really good at making people falling in love.. he whispers in her ears and intertwine his fingers with her.. A shiver ran down her spine but she manage to hold the eye contact..

Avni : how many of people you made fall in love.?? She asked to divert him from teasing her...

Neil : There are lot like my own friends.. look at them.. he beckons towards Zach who was saying something to Ariana, while she giggles turning to him sitting on his lap..

Avni : So this is your part time Job.. Huh..?? She asked to which she received an expressionless look from him..

Neil : trust you for ruining moods.. he turn his face away looking at the sky with few stars scattered here and there..

Avni : ayy., I was kidding.. don't take it seriously.. She placed her head on his shoulder and wrapped her other hand around his arm..

Avni : though I won't mind if you open a marriage bureau.. she whispers slowly and look up... He playfully glare at her making her giggle..

Her giggles died down slowly as a smile formed on her lips when she felt him kissing her hair..

Neil : How's your meeting.?? He asked after few minutes of silence..

Avni : It was good.. You remember it very soon.. she again tease him..

Neil : Tum inti busy ho.. you don't have any time for your poor boyfriend.. He said in a fake sad tone making her giggle...

Avni : poor boyfriend.?? She asked instantly sitting straight and face him to which he shrugged his shoulder..

Avni : Very very poor byfriend.. she chuckles rubbing her cold red nose..

Neil : see now you're even laughing at me.. Mean..

Avni : I am mean and what you are..  she removed her hand from his and fold her hand to her chest..

Avni : If I'm busy then It's your responsibility to take out some time.. she further said as a small smile intact on her lips.. Today she is in a full mood to tease him.

Neil : That's what I'm doing but everytime one or the other interrupt me.. He complain like a child and again hold her hand..

Avni : I never knew Neil Khanna can be childish also.. she shook her head faking disbelief look..

Meher : Avni came here look who decide to answer my call.. Meher called Avni interrupting them..

Avni hide her smile and turn to Neil who gave her 'I-told-you' look..

Neil : Now go before she starts shouting.. he leave her hand and kissed her temple..

Avni : I'll be back in a few minutes.. she got up and went to Meher who was talking with Kavya..

Neil lean back on both his hand staring at his star who was smiling and shining like a moon...

Avni got busy talking to Kavya that she didn't know few minutes turn into how many.. Both she and Meher forgot others too until Kavya asked about Neil.

Meher : Avni where are others.. she cut the call and look around but no one was there.. Avni frowned and get up to search for them..

She looks everywhere, even shout their names to call them but no one answered..

Meher : Avni, did they.. left us.. she scared as they both are alone on the cliff which is quite dark..

Avni : Meher don't worry, it must be a prank.. I'm sure that Idiot is behind it..

Meher : Avni.. what if they left really.. she is now on a verge of crying..

Avni : Meher they are not stupid to left us alone.. they must be hiding somewhere here only just to make us scared.. Don't worry we'll find our way.. And why are crying.. she said all in one go as her hand become cold not finding anyone. She is really afraid of darks..

Meher : but what if we get lost.. she hold Avni's hand tightly..

Avni : We won't, lets go from the shortcut way.. just on the flashlight.. Meher nodded her head and on the flash of her phone..

Avni : My phone, she rummage in her coat pockets for her phone..

Avni : I don't know where me phone is..

Meher : Shoudl I call.??

Avni : leave it.. First let's get out of here.. she was also scared but not showing it..

They both held each other hands tightly walking through the steps..

Meher : Avni,. We should stop and call others.. she shivers in fear as they hear some voices..

Avni : They won't answer our call to make us more scared.. let's just walk fa-- aaah!!! Both shouts together covering their ears..

Avni : Meher you.. okay.,

Meher : Why did you shout..

Avni : Because you shout..

Meher : I did not shout..

Avni : Okay, we'll fight once we get out.. she again hold her hand carefully as they both are afraid of dark and haunted places...

Even all the horror movies they had seen was either in morning or  afternoon time and Abeer knows it very damn well..

A shriek let out from Meher's mouth as the trees started shaking vigorously and monstrous sound was echoing..

Meher : Avni what if some animal came..

Avni : Meher, stop scaring and hold the flash properl--- Ahhh.!! Babaji save me.. save me., Aahh.!! She started jumping up and down when she felt something crawling on her feet..

Meher : Avni, you okay.. what happen.??

Avni : snake.. snake.. she hide behind Meher.. Her legs were shaking..

Meher : Snake.. Her eyes widened as she slumped down on the ground with force taking Avni with her..

Meher : Avni.,? she shakes her arm..

Avni : sn.. snake.. she gulped down the lump forming in her throat..

Meher : Avni, you're making me more scared.. now get up we've to leave..

Avni : No. No.. call bro... yeah..  what if it's a poisonous snake... we should call them.... she with shivering hands took Meher's phone and dial Abeers number..

Meher : Did he pick up.. she asked getting scared..

Avni : No.., she again dialled his number but he didn't answer..

Meher : Avni, we can't stay here.. get up.. She nodded and stand up..

Meher : Avni, my phone is going to get dead.. what if it wemt off..

Avni with shaking legs get up and took three four deep breaths to calm herslef down..

Avni : Don't worry we'll make it before it went off.. she said even though she is scared as shit.. It's pitch dark and only light is of the flash of Meher's phone..

Holding each other and praying and chanting mantras continuously, they both finally made their way to the beach through the haunted route and monstrous voices..

They both sigh in relief once they see few people on the beach.. They almost jogged to the parking where Abeer parked his car..

Rohan along with Ashi and Ariana was present near the car when his gaze fall on them..

Rohan : Ohh, finally there you are.. you know we were so worried for you two.. He came forwards and hug them but Avni push him giving a death glare..

Meher : What the freaking heck was that..?? She busted out on Rohan before Avni could say something..

Rohan : what.. we were worried for you.. both..  he said nervously seeing Meher angry face..

Avni : It was a Prank.. wasn't it.?? She asked without an ounce of anger..

Abeer : It was dear sista.. how's it.?? He said from behind them.. Avni turned around to see Abeer, Neil and Zach coming towards them..

Meher : You prank us..

Abeer : yup., I told you dear wife and sista.. I'll get you back at both of you.. he smirked at them..

Avni : You were also included.. she asked Neil ignoring Abeer...

Neil : Abeer made me do.. so.. He shrugged his shoulder.. She turned her face away from him and look down at her feet..

Meher : do you have  freaking idea what we went through.. because of your stupid prank.. The monstrous voice, the dark..

Zach : oh, you mean this voice.. he played the same voice they heard back in his phone.. Everyone started laughing expect Avni and Meher..

Meher suddenly started breathing fire as she gave her husband some piece of mind with her hands. Avni on the other hand without saying anything went to the car..

Neil followed her and hold her by elbows turn her around before she opened the car door..

Avni : Neil, leave me. I don't want to talk.

Neil : But this time it wasn't me. Abeer forced me to be a part of it.

Avni : And you played your part very well Congratulation.!! She snapped at him. For the second time in a day.

Neil : I didn't knew it will hurt you. I'm sorry.. he pulled her in his arms wrapping his hand around her waist..

Avni felt guilty hearing him.. It was a prank, nothing else but don't know why she is behaving like this. But what they did waa wrong, She was extremely scared..

Neil : Avni., you crying., A frown appear on his face as he felt his shirt getting wet..

Neil : Avni look up.. he said and tried to brought up her face but she shook her head and held her shirt tightly in a fist.

Neil : Avni please don't cry I'm really sorry, I didn't knew you'll get hurt.. I swear If I knew I won't let Abeer do this stupid prank. He is feeling very guilty seeing her cry.

Avni : I thought you all left us cause we were so ingress in our talk.. Neela ma told me to be attentive and not to get lost..

Neil : how can we leave just like that huh.. we were there all the time. He said caressing her hair..

Avni : The snake.. What if it's poisonous.?? Her heart beat increased with the thought of poisonous creature crawling on her feet..

Neil : It wasn't snake, it's Abeer messing up with you. He kissed her head feeling her heart beat getting fast.

Neil : we were there hiding behid the trees all the time..

Avni : Still didn't come on our call. She look up at him with frown.

Neil : cause Abeer told us that for the first time your being brave in dark and not panicking like before..

Avni : That's still... not good.. she wiped away her tears.

Neil : But it helped you right.. now you won't panic. He felt good that now atleast she is not crying..

Others who were laughing at Abeer getting beaten up by his wife stop their actions as Rohan told them to look at Avneil.

Rohan : here we are enjoying action movie missing the romantic one there.

Abeer : what great persons I have in my life, here I am getting beaten up to the death and there they both are, busy in their own world.

Neil : Abeer shut up , she is crying.

Abeer : what.!! And in a second he was on their side followed by others..

Abeer : Avni.,

Avni : I don't  want to talk to you.. I'll compalin Neela ma about you. She  turn her face away from him and just hold Neil close.

Abeer : I'm sorry princess. He said stroking her hair.

Avni : You know I'm afraid of dark, I even can't  watch horror movie alone still you pull this prank.. she complain looking up at Abeer..

Abeer : But you were so strong there.. I didnt knew my princess and sweetheart are these strong.. he hold her hand smiling proudly at her..

Avni : Don't butter me.. she removed her hand and wipe away her tears which again start falling.

Abeer : I'm not.. Zach was more scared than you even though me and Neil were beside him.

Zach : hey, that's not true.. he argue as everyone laugh at him..

Neil : Really, I have a proof also of you screaming and getting pale..

Zach : pssttt... why need an enemy when you have friends like this.. he snickered getting a smack from Neil..

Ariana : Okay, guys let's have group hug.. Everyone nodded and came forward for a group hug..

Ashi : Today we found some brave and coward people.. She wiggle her brows at Zach when they broke the hug.. all laugh at him who in return glare at Neil..

Zach : I'll kill you Neil.

Neil : The damage is done dude.

Rohan : How about we continue this later and have some dinner.. I think I'm  going to pass out with the lack of food in my stomach.. what say my partner in food.  He side hug Avni, she nodded her head smiling a little..

Zach : Yeah, I'm also very hungry..

Neil : Excuses.. Excuses... he sang putting his hand in his pocket..

Zach : Get lost jerk.. He grumbled at him..

Avni : I am damn tired.. she slumped down on the couch as soon as they returned after having dinner.. She sigh as she felt the warmth of the house.

The dinner went well with everyone laughing and talking and Abeer pacifying Avni and Meher and apologising to them.

Neil came behind her and put down the keys on the side table..

Neil : it's quite late, you should go and sleep.. tomorrow is the conference..

Avni : argh.!! I hate early morning business meet and greet... she closed her eyes leaning her head back on the couch..

Neil : get up lazy head.. go and sleep in your room.. he hold her forcefully made her stand..

Avni : you don't want to see me in peace for once..

Neil : yup.. and Now you know so Go.. he gave a push on her back towards the stairs...

Avni : wait, what's that.. her gaze fall on the wall behind the couch.. There are lots of frames hanging on it.. she went towards to see them closely..

Avni : you framed this.. A huge grin was placed on her face as she look at the pictures of all of them clicked on their Jaipur trip..

Neil : Yeah..!! He came and stand beside her..

Her gaze round around the pictures one after the other until it stop on one.. The picture was of Neela ma and Him laughing on something.. It was clicked on their Engagement day.

Avni : What were you conspiring with Neela ma that day.. she turn to face him who was standing behind her all the time..

Neil : and why should I tell you.?? It's between mother and son, so don't poke your red nose.. he coolly replied and pinched her nose..

She swat away his hand and went back to the pictures muttering whatever..

The wall was adorned with many pictures with the right side was their trip pictures along with few from Mehbeer's wedding, in centre were the families and the left side were again with some friends.. They must be his college or school friends as she saw Zach in some pictures...

Avni : is it you and.. she asked amusedly stopping at one of the frame, she creased her brows as she look at the frame more intently..

Neil : Yeah, it me and Zach..

Avni : Zach.. she laugh looking at the frame.. I.. he.. he looks too cute.. she said between her laugh..

Neil : it's from the first year of our boarding school.. and Zach was the one who was adamant on clicking picture but turn out to be his most embarrassing one.. and I had to put this one on display.. he smile remembering the memory. And later due to him framing their picture Zach had to go through tons of teasing..

Avni laugh loudly looking at the teenager Zach with spike on his head grinning at the camera, giving a pose as if he is model..

Avni : he is looking too cute..

Neil : but he hates this one.. He chuckled remembering the fuss Zach made when he put this frame..

Avni : Is it from your graduation day?, She looked at pictures of everyone wearing their graduation gown except for three..

Neil : Yeah, It's the day we got our bachelor degree.

Avni : but Why the three not wearing it.?? It's so cool to wear it.

Neil : this is basically our whole group.. and these three are our senior Sam, Eliana and Brian... they had graduate a year before us but come to our graduation for fun..

Avni : Sam., is he the same one from Zach and Ari wedding..

Neil : yeah, he showed you the ceremony..

Avni : it's great. You have seniors as your friends.. you must had a lot of fun at college na..

Neil : yup., the best days.. and Zach would love to tell you the stories.. when he started dating Ari, for whole three months she had to hear his rambles about the fun we had during college days..

There were few of his pictures too and he was handsome back in college days too.. but mostly he had pictures with his friends, in campus, in ground.. with football team, graduation day..

Avni : wow., what is the place it's beautiful.. her gaze went to the another one on the top.. It was a group photo near a bus but the surrounding was beautiful..

Neil : that's the first ever trip of our whole group together... Our college had arranged a trip of junior and seniors and Sam and Zach went literally mad hearing about it.. they both had been trying to plan a trip for group but with our different schedules they couldn't..

Avni : it's amazing.. she lean on the back of the couch staring at the wall.. Her gaze at last stop the picture of around 6 years old Neil sitting on Babe's lap grinning ahead of him..he is surely Bebe's favourite.. In every family photos he is around Bebe..

Neil : Madam, it's quite late.. he nudge her shoulder with his to make her come out of her thoughts...

Neil : Go to sleep, you can stare at my photo later also.. or you can directly stare at me lively.. I won't mind.. His comment made her face hot..

Avni : I was not staring at your pictures., she stood straight and put her hands in her coat pockets turning away from him to hide her blush..

Neil : Then I think you're sleepy, cause you're lying and also your face is getting more red so It's better if you sleep..

Avni : Fine... she groaned but made her way to the stairs.

Neil : Hey, wait.. he stopped her..

Avni : Now what.. she turned around..

Neil : My pending kisses.. He step towards her but she quickly run around the couch..

Avni : No pending kisses at all.

Neil : But why.. I have earn three kisses..

Avni : Earn.. seriously..

Neil : I ruined my shirt for it.. Now don't ruined my kisses.. He came near the back of the couch only for her to stumble back.

They are standing infront of each other with the couch between them..

Avni : You're not getting a single kiss. She run around the hall as he jumped on the couch to catch her..

Neil : This is cheating Junglee billi. He almost shouted as they continue their Cat and mice game.

Avni : You've lost all your kisses when you decide to play that stupid prank on me. She run inside the kitchen and stand near the counter taking a deep breath.

Neil : I told you before also that it wasn't me you gave the idea. He stand on the other side of the counter.

Avni : I don't care. She glared at him.

Neil : But I care. He round the counter and almost caught her but she in time slip away..

Neil : Avni that's a clear cheating..

Avni : Everything is fair in anyth-- Aahh.! Neil caught her hand and turn her around swiftly caging her in his arms near the adjacent wall of the kitchen.

Neil : Now what will you do. ?? He smirked as he lock his hand around her waist.

Avni : Leave me Idiot. She wriggle in his arms to get free.

Neil : I will but after getting my pending kisses.

Avni : Okay fine, but first leave me.

Neil : You giving in this early is alarm to not let you go. Who knows you'll flip after getting free. He shrugged his shoulder and took a step forward. There is still decent distance between them.

Neil : Or we can adjust the settlement, what say.?? An evil smirk play on his lips seeing her stop struggling.

Avni : what settlement.??

Neil : One Kiss instead of Three.

Avni : One.? Her brows  creased up as her face show confusion.

Neil : Yeah, just one kiss. His gaze went from her eyes to her lips.

Avni : Just one.. okay.? She said showing her index finger.

Neil : You sure.. as his gaze set on her lips for more time..

As realisation dawned to her, she squeals loudly pushing his hand away and ran up the stairs when she saw his gaze stayed on her lips for a longer time.

He stood their laughing loudly remembering her expression.

Avni suddenly got the power of Usain Bolt as she didn't stop even after reaching the room. She quickly shut the door only for a foot to interrupt..
Wasn't he downstairs laughing.??

Avni : Go away before I smash your head against the wall, you shameless Idiot.. She shouted not showing him her red face.

Neil : Okay my lady version of hulk, but hear me out I have to talk to you about something.

Avni : I don't want to

Neil : It's about tomorrow Junglee bilii.

Avni : what is it.?? She peek a little from behind the door.

Neil : Set your alarm for early  and don't get late..

Avni : Early for what.? The conference is at 10.

Avni look at him and carefully took the phone. When he didn't do anything, She grab the phone tightly and was ready to hop back in her den but of course is it possible if Neil Khanna standing infront of you..

He grab her chin in a gentle grip and gave a hard kiss on her cheek.

Neil : Good night.. One down two more to go along with my reward, and I would love to tell Meher that I gave you a good night kiss but didn't get a chance for hug as you'll probably bang my head.. Again Good night and see me in your dreams..

He shouted all in one breath as soon as he ran away giving her a kiss leaving her standing in between her door flabbergasted.
