/////////////////

This. Is. Hell. A monday morning walking towards the satanic spawn I call school. I just want the weekend to come around again...

"Heeeyyy! Y/n!" I heard a voice shout from far behind me. I recognised it instantly. It was Sayori, my old childhood friend, running towards me quickly. She was a super bubbly girl, but since she joined one of the newer clubs, I've been seeing her far less than before.

"O-oh, hey Sayori. What are you-"

I paused as she bumped into me, her face pale and clothes messy. She breathed heavily as she started to talk.

"I wanted... to walk... with you today..." She blurted out.

I smiled. Sayori was always like this. This is why I liked her so much.

"Thank you, Sayori. Let's get going, we'll be late otherwise,"

"You're welcome, Y/n!"

We continued to walk towards the school, Sayori leaning on my shoulder from time to time. This closeness made us look like a couple, but I guess I didn't mind so much.

Time Skip- After school:

I sat in my classroom, daydreaming. The last bell of the day went off 5 minutes ago, but I guess my mind wanted to wander. Suddenly, Sayori burst into the classroom, rushing towards me as I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Y/n! There you are!" She smiled, "I forgot to tell you something!"

I sighed. She always forgets to tell me stuff. I let her continue, whilst I dreaded what she was going to say.

"There's a club I really want you to check out!"

Oh god, a club. I've been pressuring myself to join one, but none of them were interesting enough. Especially the literature club, which I knew Sayori was the vice president of.

"Oh, cool," I muttered.

"Come with me! I'll show you the club!" Sayori smiled, practically dragging me out of my seat and out of the classroom.

I guess today marks the day I sold my soul for the club, and Sayori's irresistible smile.

We arrived at the clubroom, and Sayori almost burst down the door, striding into the room with pride.

"Hello everyone! I'm here with the new member!!"

Walking into the room, I glare at Sayori.

"Sayori, I never agreed to join-"

I looked around the room, and saw three girls, all with different heights, hair colours, etc.

I can believe it. This club... is full of incredibly cute girls! I think I just struck a jackpot.

"Ugh, why'd you have to bring a y/g?!" A pink-haired girl spoke.

"Well, this is my friend, Y/n! Y/n, this is Natsuki, Yuri, and Monika!"

Wait a damn minute... Monika?! As in super popular, smart, beautiful, Monika?

Shit.

The girls all looked at me with bright eyes, but my eyes were set on Monika. I'm guessing she was the president of the club. Just as my mind started to wander off again, Sayori interrupted.

"Oh yeah! Natsuki made cupcakes! I, er... may have told the club that you'd be joining yesterday. So, um, enjoy!"

I glared at Sayori once again. Of course she told the club beforehand.

I took one of the cupcakes, and bit into it lightly. Natsuki, the pink-haired girl I suspected to be a first-year, lit up as she saw my reaction.

"So, what do you think?" She spoke.

I nodded. "It's really good!"

"Great! Just... don't think I like you because I made you a couple of cupcakes!"

Ah yes, a Tsundere. How delightful.

Yuri, a tall girl with long purple hair, looked at me with a shy smile, before heading to the end of the room, and getting a small tea set from a cabinet.

"Oh, don't worry about Yuri," Sayori spoke, "She doesn't really speak to anyone much. She's quite reserved unless you show an interest in psychological books or whatever..."

I nodded, and Sayori skipped away in Natsuki's direction, the two of them going to help Yuri with the tea set.

I stood in silence for a while, alone with my thoughts and feelings. Maybe this club isn't so bad after all, but yet again, it's a literature club... I hate literature...

My thoughts were interrupted by Monika's voice. I blushed as I tuned in to what she was saying.

"Well, welcome to the literature club, Y/n! I'm really glad to have you here!"

"O-oh, thank you." I stuttered. Looking into Monika's emerald eyes, I blushed even more. She was such an angel...

This club really is going to be the end of me...
