Devdutt Paddikal was going to play his debut series for Indian Cricket Team and was really excited to meet everyone escpecially the captain it's been so many months he hadn't met him . When he reached in the hotel he saw  Virat Kohli for the world and Vi bhai for him talking with his team . He just hopped on him from behind like he always does only to be pulled in the warm hug by Vi which pissed off Kl rahul . He was already jealous with him as the way he used to cling his bhai during IPL always work as rubbing salt on his wounds . Seeing them together was a very unpleasent site for Rahul . He just went from there with a scowling face but certain Harry saw it and smirked . Soon everyone reached at practice Vi was giving more attention to Dev as offcourse he is a newcomer and the youngest member of the team and ofcourse he was Vi's kiddo much to Rahul's frustation . 

At night 

In Vi's Room , Vi was surfing on his phone that's when Rahul entered in his room .

Rahul : U promised that u will spend this whole time with me and let me tell u I want ur undivided attention.

Virat : Offcourse kiddo come . 

Rahul plopped on the bed beside Virat and they played vedio games for sometime that's when  Dev came with a pouty face rubbing his eyes . 

Vi : What happened baccha ?? You haven't slept till now .

Dev : Bhai I can't sleep alone . ( sadly ) I am missing ma and di .

Vi ( stretching his hand ) : What happened if they r not here I am here na , come .

Dev went and sat on the bed keeping his head on Vi's chest whereas Vi let him snuggle ruffing his hair . On the other side Rahul was getting hell jealous seeing duo . He don't want to share his bhai with anyone . 

Rahul ( angrily ) : But u said u will spent this whole time with me only . 

Vi : Baccha I am here only u can spend time with me whenever u want .

Rahul ( angrily ) : I said I want to spend time with u alone and this certainly not called as alone . U promised me and now u can't backoff . Also I was ur first kiddo na then I have more right on u .  Paddikal go to ur room .

Dev got really hurt by his words but hide it with his smile. Vi was about to say some thing but was cut by Dev

Dev - Its okk bhai . U spend ur time with Rah bhai and he is correct he has more right on u than me . I am going in my room . Gd night 

Vi tried to stop him but Dev went away . Vi also went behind him giving a dissapointed look to Rah . Rah also went to his room frustated . 

In Rahul room , Rah was sitting on his bed literally pissed off from what happened few minutes ago . Harry enters in room and plopped beside him on the bed 

Harry - What happened Rahuliya why are being frustatoliya ??

Rah - Shutup Harry , I am already irritated because of that guy now u don't irritate me . Go now and eat jassi's head 

Harry( scared ) - No no I wont go anywhere near him he will kill me 

Rah ( rolling his eyes ) : What u did now???

Harry ( casually ) : Nothing just put powder in his hair dryer due to which he his hair become white and he had to go for bath again causing delay to meet some friends 

Rah shaked his head in disbelief 

Harry : well who is that guy ?? Paddikal ?? 

Rah noded 

Harry : Well it seems he is very close to Vi and why not will he be afterall they are in same team in IPL . Have u seen the way Vi care for him . He is such a kid u know . Even BRo was saying that his innocence can melt anybody's heart . I have seem some his pictures with Virat and they look so happy together . Vi treats him just like his kid . Well let me show u the pics . 

Harry showed him the pics and Rah was throwing daggers . " Well good night  . I am feeling sleepy " said hary and went away smirking . Rah was not getting sleep so he decided to go to terrace to get his mind refresh . He was passing through dev's room , he noticed door was little bit open . He peeked inside and the scene in front made him hell angry . Dev was sleeping cuddling to Virat. Rah went from there . 

In morning , after breakfast team went for practice . Rah was sitting on the ground to take break that's when dev came and sat beside him after runing his laps . 

Dev : Bhai why r u sitting alone ???

Rah : I don't think I have to ask permission from u before sitting here or anywhere else 

Dev was hurt but soon hide it 

Dev : I am sorry bhai I didn't ment to offend u . I was just asking casually u were sitting alone so ..

Rahul ( cutting dev inbetween ) : I dont think I am answerable to u 

Dev : Bhai why r u behaving like this ??? Are u still angry for what happened yesterday night . 

Rah just turned his face 

Dev : Bhai I am really sorry trust me I didn't know that u wanted to spend time with Vi bhai . I am really ...

Rah ( frustated ) : Enough dev please leave me alone and stop with this bhai thing . I am not ur bhai call me Rahul or Kl it doesn't matter . Don't u dare to come near me again otherwise it won't be good for u .

Rah left and Dev eyes got teary . He just wanted to have good relation with Rah . He had experience the coldness from Rah for himself even during IPL he thought once he will be the part of ICT he will clear all misunderstanding with him . He don't know why but he always had a urge to be little brother for Rah . His Vi bhai had told him so much about him that he couldn't help but love him as much he love his Vi bhai . Dev also went again for practice . But unknown to both of them one person had heard all thier talks . The practice got over and they all went to hotel . In night everyone gathered for dinner that was planned in Rah room . Dev was no where to be seen so Vi excused himself and went to bring him . He saw Dev was sitting on the bed keeping his palms on his face . He startled as he sensed someone his room only to find Vi standing . Vi came and sat beside him throwing his hand around Dev 

Vi : Don't think so much about what Rahuliya said . Come have dinner . 

Dev : No bhai it was not like that . He said nothing it's just I don't felt like eating . 

Vi : First thing don't lie to me ever and second I heard everything

Dev just kept silent and looked down . Vi just hold him closer and asked what happened baccha ???

Dev ( teary eyes ) : Why he don't like me bhai ??? Have I gone wrong somewhere ???

Vi : Its nothing like that kiddo . U haven't gone wrong anywhere . May be he is angry on me that I didn't completed my promise and took his frustation over u 

Dev hums in response 

Vi : Now come have dinner 

Dev : I don't  feel like eating , u go . 

 Vi : Accha let us have dinner here only , what's say ??

Dev smiled and nod . Vi ordered the dinner and sat again on bed beside dev talking with him about everything possible so that he could distract and cheer up the young boy . Food came and Dev went in washroom to get freshen up thats when Vi noticed a scrap book on his bed . He opened it to find Rah and his photos of thier of every achievement . Dev came from washroom and went to Virat 

Vi : what is all this kiddo ???

Dev : Bhai u both are my ideals . I am a very very big fan of u two . When u used to achieve any milestone  na It feels like I have achieved that milestone . Whenever I feel sad , dissapointed or demotivated I just used to look at these pictures and u know what it gives me so much power that I felt I can do anything in this world.

Vi ( overwhelmed ) : Why didn't u show me earlier baccha??

Dev ( embarassed ) : woh ... actually I thought u will find it funny and childish , so I never showed it to anyone not even ma , pa and di .

Vi : It is not funny at all and neither childish . I really liked it baccha . Just wait for few years u will have more achievements than both of us and I will also maintain a scrap book like it . 

Dev : Bhai will u plz sign it plzzzz....

Vi : offcourse baccha 

Vi signed the scrap book writing " proud of u kiddo " making dev super happy . He jumped on Virat and said ' I love u bhai ' . ' I love u too kiddo ' replied Vi holding him lovingly . 

Vi : Come on now have dinner . 

They both have dinner and Dev went to sleep whereas Vi patted his had . As he realised Dev went into a deep sleep he went from there taking his scrap book . He went to his room . He was confused he didn't know how to handle this . At one hand there is his first kiddo who is dissapointed from him on the other hand there is his youngest kiddo who is very innocent and sensitive to handle such rude behaviour from his senior whom he idiolise . He fears that the differences between them become bigger with time . He was feeling really frustated and the best person to call in this situation was none other than his Mahi bhai , his fire bregaid after all he had also managed so many kiddos at a time not dissapointing anyone of them . Surely he can't be like his mahi bhai but still can try thought Virat and call his mahi bhai . 

On the hand a person got a call and a smile appeared as he saw the caller id . He picked up the call only to hear his kiddo's voice but his smile dissapeared as he sensed something is wrong with Virat . Virat told him everything and as usual Mahi bhai listened to him calmly . As Virat completed his ranting session then mahi asked him to take breath and calm down . Virat did so and once he was at some peace Mahi bhai started 

Mahi bhai : do u really think that it is all about previous  night only ??

Vi : but bhai nothing happend anything before that will make Rahuliya this much angry

Mahi bhai : Don't u think Rahul is jealous from that young boy 

Vi : hain ? but why he has to be ??

Mahi bhai : Look Cheeku as much as I have noticed it and u told me it seems like he is jealous and that this  jealousy is not new but from before may be because Dev is in RCB but he is not . It can be the way that Rah is feeling insecure seeing both of u together . Don't forget we have Harry , Jaddu and Yuzi too . Only one of them is enough to eggravate his insecurity .  

Soon  Vi starts realising it . He remember how Rah used to see or we can say glare Dev during ipl . But Dev is with him only in IPL where as he plays international cricket with him  can't he understand this moreover  he is his first kiddo how the hell someone can replace him

Vi: but bhai ...

Mahi bhai ( knowing very well what his cheeku is going to say ) : It happens cheeku

Vi ( mumbles ) : but never with u . U always mangaed us so well 

Mahi bhai : oh really weren't u always jealous of Ro 

Vi ( possesively ) : no it was that idiotic stupid lazy possessive creature who used to get jealous of me  . I was never jealous becoz I know very well you loves me the most 

Mahi bhai ( teasingly ) : are u sure about it cheeku ???

Vi ( whiningly ) : bhai!!!!

Mahi bhai laughed . " Do u think that I can be a good elder brother as u were ???  "asked Vi . 

Mahi bhai : u r already the one cheeku . U r already the go to person of kiddos in the team . U make the young kid feel like home . U have fought with BCCI for ur kiddos more than number of times we can count . U were always beside them  in thier happy and sad times from Jassi taking hat trick to Harry and Siraj loosing thier father they have always found ur support . Even Rah jealousy is indicating he loves u so much that he cant afford to loose u to anyone . Trust me baccha u r better than me . 

Vi : I can never be better than u bhai , u r the best . I love u so much . 

Mahi : I love u too kiddo 

Vi : good night bhai 

Mahi : good ni8 baccha and don't think too much . Go and talk to Rah 

Okk bhai said vi and cut the call . Mahi bhai smiled feeling proud of his kiddo who is now a elder brother for his kiddos . Virat went to Rah room only to find him sitting on bed with a visibly pissed off face . He just went and plopped on bed beside him . 

Rah ( angrily )  : why r u here now ?? Just go to ur dev 

Vi :  Look Rahuliya directly coming to the point I am really dissapointed with the way u behaved with Dev so tell me directly and clearly what is ur issue with Dev ??? What's wrong with u ?? 

Rah ( angrily ) : What wrong with me like seriously . Isn't it should be me to ask u what the hell is wrong with u . Since that boy has come u seems like spendimg ur whole day with him . During dinner , breakfast , lunch , practice every time . U let him cling the way I used to , u let him sleep cuddling to u the way I used , u r doing that everything with that kid that u used to do for me . Even in IPL he always use to cling him but I couldn't . U r asking whats wrong with me like seriously ??? What should I do then by seeing a yesterday boy coming close to u even more than me ??

Vi ( angrily ) : Have u lost ur mind Rahul ?? Okk tell me what should I do then ??? Should I go to him and tell him that Dev I know that for u all r new here and u dont know anyone here except me and yuzi , you r not comfortable here but still sorry I can't be with u neither as a brother nor a captain because my first kiddo doesnt want it to be that way or should I tell him that this team is the family , we all r brothers but sorry I  can't make u the part of this family because the one out of two persons u idolise is not comfortable with ur presence only because he can't play with me in IPL but u can . Listen Rahul u still r my most favourite kiddo and will always be but if u want me to neglect that kid and make him feel out of this place , demotivate him , make him feel that he don't deserve to be the part of this team then sorry I can't do this . Remember the day Rahul when u entered in the team for the first time weren't u uncomfortable , weren't u feeling afraid then think about that kid too , he is just 20 and trust me much more sensitive and innocent . Rahul understand making new relation doesn't mean to forget to forget previous one . Even mahi bhai formed a strong bond with u and other kiddos but ever did I , Ro ,Jad ,Jinks ,Ash or any one of his kiddo become jealous with u guys no na  u know why because we trust him we believe him that even if he had hundred of kiddos but still we will always have special place in his heart . Everyone has special place in a person's heart which none can take . U r special for mahi bhai that doesn't mean I am not . We both have different place in his heart yet we both r special . He can do anything for me as well as u . Same way Dev and u both r special to me yet both have different space in my heart u can not take his place and he cant take ur place bcoz u both r imp for me . U know what ?? u r not completely at fault its my fault that I am not able to win ur trust , not able to be a good brother .

Saying this Vi was about to go but Rah hold his hand and hugged him tight .

Rah : I am sorry bhai I am really sorry  . U r the best bhai it was just me who was being a posessive jerk . I promise I won't repeat it again plzzz forgive me this time.

Vi : ssh its okk Rahuliya . U dont need to say sorry to me u should say sorry to that kid u have hurted him badly kiddo . 

Rah : will he forgive me ???

"He was never angry at u kiddo . Believe me baccha if I am saying he is so innocent to be angry at anyone . He is just like a true goof " said Vi parting away ruffling Rah hairs . " What is it ???" asked rah as he saw a scrap book in Vi hand .

Vi : that goof kid had made it . He is a big fan of both of us . He wanted our signature on it but didn't even showed it to anyone thinking it to be childish 

Rah chuckled shaking his head 

" wanna see ??? " asked Vi giving him the scrap book Rah took it . 

Vi : sleep after seeing it . Need to call Nushkie . Gud night.

Vi went and Rah sat on bed turning the pages slowly . A smile came on his face as he realized how far he had came . The photos made him remember various behind stories of matches they played . He didn't knew how many times he completed that book , seeing the photos again and again . But each time he completed he felt a strange affection for that kid . First time he wanted to be an elder brother for anyone , he wants someone to call him as bhai and that someone was surely Dev .

Next morning it was off from practice . Rah make his way to dev room . 

Dev ( scared )  : y... you here ?? 

Rah : Why ?? I can't come here ???

Dev : No i didn't mean it . It was just 

Rah : forget it . Ur imp thing is with me so I came to return it

Dev : what ???

Rah handed him the scrap book and gestured him to open it . Dev was super happy to see his confused scared face was glowing with a big smile . There was Rah's signature on his scrap book  . " may u achieve much more than I have and I will ever " was written on it.

Dev : Thank u thank u so much 

Rah ( scowling ) : Vi said u jumped over him whem he signed it but u just said thank u to me thats not done 

Dev was shocked to listen him . Before he could say anything he was pulled in the tight hug by rah . " Forgive me kiddo . I was just being a possesive jerk " said Rah ruffling his hair . " Can I call u bhai ??? " asked dev hopefully Rah nodded . Dev jumped over him whereas Rah hold him tight patting his head . Rah felt warm as he heard Dev mumbling I love u bhai he just tightend his grip saying I love u too baccha as he kissed on his forhead . 

When Vi entered in the room he smiled seeing the scene Rah and dev were watching some movie enjoying each others company  . He too joimed them . He clicked thier selfie and send it to Mahi bhai with caption "Now my kiddo has kiddo but still I will be ur kiddo . right ??? ". " Yes u will be always " replied Mahi bhai . A smile crept on Vi face as he saw the reply knowing his bhai will always be there for him and he promised that he will always protect his kiddos as his elder brother protected him
