The light began to fade, revealing a hedgehog that looked alot like shadow but he didn't have a mouth. It was kinda unsettling.

"mephiles!" silver stood up in surprise.

"eh? You know this creep!?" jet yelled.

"yes he's the one who helped me travel back in time" silver explained "and he's the one who told me about blaze. I owe alot to him"

We heard a dark chuckle escape mephiles.

"what's so funny?" I asked.

"what!" silver yelled.

"when I found you I knew you were perfect for my plan" he said in a smug tone "you you were so powerful yet so untrusting. I knew you wouldn't trust me so I looked into information on your past and found her"

"blaze" silver said weakly.

"once I found out about that girl I knew I had to in the palm of my hand and my what a entrance you made! You made the perfect distraction for me to scoop up the rebal camp members" he lifted up his hands, revealing everyone trapped in criztals!

"wave! Storm!" jet yelled. I could see sonic, Sally and everyone else in there too. How the heck did he managed to beat them?

"with that out of the way I think I'll be on my way" mephiles turned his back to us.

"wait" I yelled at him "tell us why? Why did you do this? Are you working with robotnic?"

Mephiles chuckled "no no I'm not working for anyone. All I crave is pure distruction" with that he flew off.

Silver trembled in anger "stay here kids" he told us firmly "I have to make up for my mistakes" with that he flew off.
