Tails pov

Once he released us from the ropes we stood up and looked at each other nervously. We hadn't actually planned what we were going to show him so what do we do?

Jet grinned as an idea came to mind and took a step forward "I'm going to show you a little thing called extreme gear"

We both looked at him in surprise. I mean we don't have our extreme gear so how can we show him?

"extreme gear. What's that?" he asked.

"watch this" he whistled three times and just like that the extreme gear came flying towards us.

"awesome!" jet yelled as he hopped on his bored "it feels great to be back on the bourd again!"

"here silver you can borrow mine" I held it out to him.

He stared at it "so these devices help you fly" he muttered "I can already fly so I don't see the point in it"

"I thought the same thing but it's actually really fun" I insisted "please give it a try"

He sighed "fine I'll try" he took the bourd out of my hands and hopped on it, wobbling slightly "so how do I move forward?"

"you just lean towards the direction you want to go" I explained.

He nodded and leaned forward which shot him off in a different direction!

"umm silver are you ok?" I flew after him worriedly.

"wow this is fun" he laughed as he flew around in different directions.

I smiled to myself. You know when he's laughing he doesn't look as threatening as he did before.

He used his telekinetic powers to move faster. Jet seemed to take that as a challenge.

"you think you're faster than me eh? Then I challenge right here right now!"

"I'll take you anytime kid!" he smirked.

So the two of them started their race. I was sure that silver was going to win and he almost did! But he ended up hitting a branch and falling to the ground before he reached the finish line.

"holy crap did I kill him!" jet yelped.

"we should check on him" I said urgently. The others nodded and we flew down to find him laying on his back staring up at the sky.

"are you hurt Mr silver?" cream asked worriedly.

"oh I'm fine sweetie" he smiled at her "I just had to admire the plants and bright blue sky out here. In the future we don't have this much life growing everywhere"

"I kinda understand where you're coming from" jet lay down next to him "I come from a big city so when I first came here it kinda freaked me out how much vegetation there was but you get used to it"

"I lived in a city too" he muttered "but my city was crumbling around me and black smog covered the sky. Not to mention we got chased by robots any time we left our homes"

"the future sucks!" cream stuck her tongue out "you should stay in the past where everything's good"

"and you should stay with us at the camp" I smiled at him.

He placed his hand on his chest "I think I'd like tha-"

He was cut off by a blinding purple light. Out of that light we heard a voice...

"ah silver. So nice to see you've made friends"
