Chapter 16
10 years later
The company has now gotten really big or I'd say HUGE. We've reached 90% of people on this planet. Yes, 90% of the people use our products. We've almost succeeded but I still have to do something.
--a few hours earlier--
"Hey!" Ash says as she walks in. "What are you doing?"
"I'm working on this" I say while showing my laptop with all the codes typed on it.
"Oh.... Can I ask you a question?"
"Of course."
"Have you thought about space exploration?"
I stop, contemplating what she said for a second.
"Not really...Why are you asking me this?" I ask.
"I mean, we've technically worked on everything but rockets and spaceships to make them eco-friendly, right?"
"Yes."
"Then shouldn't we work on rockets and spaceships too?"
"But that's expensive. I don't know if we will be able to work on it or not."
"Yes, but we could try," she insists.
"Yeah, but there's a very high chance of failure," I say.
"It doesn't matter. We need to try and make space exploration not just run on fuel."
"You're right...." I say thinking about it.
"So, when can we start working on it?"
"We'll start as soon as we have the basic idea."
Ash leaves with excitement. "I can't wait"
I roll my eyes fondly. She's always had a fascination for space.
--Back to present time--
I lay down on my bed and brainstorm idea about how I can make rockets and spaceships that use less fuel. Leave a smaller carbon footprint. Soon, I fall asleep.
The next day, I wake up and call for a meeting in my office.
"Good morning everyone! Today we're going to discuss rockets." I say.
Ash looks at me and smiles.
"Does anyone know anything about rockets or spaceships?" I ask.
A few people nod.
Soon, after an hour of discussing eco-friendly spaceships and rockets, we come to the conclusion that solar rockets and spaceships are the most realistic. They can work pretty well but we would need a HUGE group of solar panels spread out on the exterior of the rocket or spaceship. Most of them would fall apart when we take off.
"What if we find a way to collect the solar energy and store it, or if we find a way to create it?" says Kyle.
"That could actually work." Ash replies. "We should start working on it right now" she says looking at me.
I nod. Using renewable sources of energy that won't produce pollution definitely is the fastest way to go.
