You never asked.

Confessions: Sylvia-
I like Akatsuki a whole lot. But I'm afraid that if he doesn't feel the same I can never be his Via-chan, and he can't be my Suki-kun again.

The heels of my bright pink combat boots made no noise as I walked down the street with my best friend, the summer air blowing past me slightly.
She was of course gushing about how she had finally gotten picked for the games, not on good notice though. I wouldn't call it being 'the perfect choice' when she was only filling in Nova's spot.

She quickly stopped in her spot, making me crash straight into the back of her floral top.
I winced and rubbed the spot on my forehead that had been victim to her rock that she calls a back.

"I've got a spectacular idea!" , She said turning to me, onyx eyes glimmering with excitement,
"Why don't we take a mission!"

I blinked a couple times. Is she serious?

"Did you get too much water in your head from your naval battle match?"
I asked shaking her head.

After concluding that there wasn't any water in her head I looked up at her again.

She crossed her arms failing to contain her smile.

"No my dear best friend, I don't have water in my head. But I am completely serious about going on one," She put her hands on my shoulders and stared into my eyes.
"and I'm not taking no as an answer, my dearest Nashielle Heartfillia Dragneel."

I rolled my eyes.

"Sylvia, you of all people should know that I can't use my powers."

She shoved her hand in my face and wiggled her fingers around.

"It's not that you can't use them, it's that you're convincing yourself that you can't use them."

I tilted my head.
"But I actually can't-"

"STOP TELLING YOURSELF THAT YOU CAN'T!" Sylvia yelled flicking my forehead.

I winced again.
I think this counts as child abuse.

As soon as I stopped touching it stop where she flicked, me she piniched my arm and flicked my head again.

"Hey, Ow, STOP! Sylvia!"

I rubbed the spots that were now sore and tender.

"Okay, I'll go if you stop."

I looked at her face. She looked like a child that just got to sit on Santa's lap.

"REALLY? YOU MEAN IT!"
She squealed hugging me.

"Um..sure. But what about the Grand Magic Games?"

"All of this week will be about the juniors 5-13 matches. Though I would totally loveeee to see the kids go out and give it a shot,"

I rolled my eyes trying to contain my scoff. Of course you do Sylvia, that's why you're going on a mission.

"This is great bonding time between us Nashi! Plus we can watch from our lacrima's."

I nodded my head. It would be nice to take a break.

"Let's get packing!" She took my hand and dragged me all the way to her magic vehicle.

"What did I just get myself into?"

~~~
"This is boring!" I complained throwing the magazine that I was reading back into the large pile.
Sylvia held up a finger, her face still locked on a page in Sorcerer's Magazine. The one about the current hottest male mages in Fiore to be exact.
"Patience my child. We're waiting for the rest of them."
I glared at Sylvia.
"The rest of them? I thought you said we were the only one's going on this mission Sylvia!"
Sylvia must've realized what she said and finally took her eyes of staring at the abs of Bora's son, Ryder.
"Ummm," Sylvia stood up and started fanning herself.
"Wow is it hot in here?"
"Don't change the subject." I gritted through my teeth.
"Okay, I did." She whispered.
I let out a frustrated sigh.
"It's fine, only my brother, and Akatsuki."
I sipped the coffee that I had brought with me to the train station.
She flipped a couple pages in the magazine and suddenly stopped and pointed to two mages.
"The brown haired one is Akatsuki Eucliffe," She said pointing to a shy looking boy with glasses.
I nodded and took another sip of my coffee.
"He's mine." She said narrowing her eyes at me.
I put my free hand up in surrender.
"Not gonna steal your man don't worry."
Sylvia's cheeks went crimson red with embarrassment.
"Anyway, the other one is my dufus of a older brother Storm."
I sat out my coffee and started coughing.
Sylvia patted my back a worried look on her face.
"T-that's your brother?"
I asked in between breaths.
"Indeed." A familiar voice replied.
I looked up to find the guy- I mean Storm.
Sylvia got up from the train station bench and looked at the time.
"It should be here by now." She mumbled at her watch.
On cue a lould train whistle pierced the air.
Sylvia's expression brightened as she picked up one of what seemed like a billion of her bags.
"Suki-kun," Sylvia said turning to the brunette boy the she called Suki.
"Could you be a dear and help me with these bags?"
"Sure Via-chan." He replied smiling at her.
As Sylvia and Akatsuki walked towards the train I held on to the handle of my suitcase and glared at Storm.
"What do you want princess."
I continued to stare him down.
"You didn't tell me."
He finally turned to me. His ocean eyes making my cheeks warm up a bit.
"That I was Sylvia's brother, or that I knew you were Sylvia's friend."
I puffed out my cheeks.
"Both you dufus."
He grinned at me before sticking his hands in his pockets at saying,
"You never asked."
