"I think she's pretty suspicious Sylvia, she took down Nova with one attack. Not to mention she's part of a newer guild, which means we have little to no information on her and her comrades." I said to my blue haired best friend while drinking my smoothie. 

"I wouldn't think too much of it Nash," Sylvia looked out the shop window taking a sip of her berry-delicious smoothie. 

I traced her eyes and found that she was looking at a billboard sign about the games that was across the small shop we were sitting at. My expression faded a bit as i looked at her. 

"Didn't get picked either Sylv?" 

She dropped her contact with the sign and looked at me with her onyx eyes. 

"Nope, my brothers got picked before me." 

I raised an eyebrow in a questioning way. 

"Brothers with an s? I thought Rin was your only brother?" 

She took a sip of her smoothie again and looked up at me again, 

"I didn't tell you? I have another brother named Storm, he's older than me and Rin by a year."

"Well that's nice to know." I leaned back in my chair. 

Sylvia pulled out her phone and looked at the time. 

"Nashi want me to call someone to pick us up? The sun is setting soon and I don't want to walk through Crocus in the dark." 

"You get a ride, I'll be fine."  I picked up my brown bag and put it over my shoulder. 

"Are you sure? I mean Crocus isn't exactly a city of fun and games." Sylvia chewed on her lip, worry clear in her eyes.

"Yea, I'll be fine. It isn't even that dark yet." I put a 5 dollar bill on the table to pay for our fruity drinks. 

"Call me if anything goes wrong, or if anything seems out of place, when you get home, if you get kidnapped be sure I'm the first one who knows, and-"

"Sylvia!" I said grasping her hand to calm her down. "I'll be fine!" 

Her shoulders relaxed and she gave me a quick hug. 

"You better call me or I'll personally kill you." 

I smiled and walked out of the shop the door making a bell sound as I exited.

The wind blew past me as I walked down the sidewalk of the beautiful city of Crocus. But, now I personally know that it isn't all that pretty in the night. I grabbed my sweater and wrapped it around myself more in a form of comfort. 

'There's no one else Nashi, chill. No one's going to kidnap you. Or murder you. Or rape you. Wait....what if they decide to rape me?'

I stopped in my tracks and shook my head. 

'That's not something I want to be thinking about right now.'

I heard faint stepping and turned my head to find no one was there. 

I continued walking. Just a bit of paranoia. The footsteps were heard once again and i turned my head once more to find nothing but the street lights, the canal, and a couple trees. 

I furrowed my eyebrows. There's some weird stuff going on.  

"What's a little girl doing walking out here alone?" A voice that was husky but boyish and firm came out scaring me a bit. 

My shoulders tensed a bit as I searched for a source of the voice but i couldn't find it. 

"Down here princess."

I looked down at my reflection in the pretty blue canal water. I tilted my head, 

Nothing's there 

I blinked a couple times. I must've not gotten enough sleep last night. The water started moving a bit and the outline of a human body could now be seen. I rubbed my eyes and blinked again. 

Water splashed up in a huge oval like way and out came a boy. As he stepped out onto the sidewalk next to me the water he came out of splashed, spraying me with unwanted cold water. 

My mouth hung open as i gaped at him. 

i pointed to the water and continued staring at him. "D-did you just-" 

"Yea princess, you're acting as if you've never seen water manipulation magic before." He stared at me with a bored look on his face. 

"well i have, but you just- came unexpectedly and..." I trailed of moving my soggy hair out of my face.

I looked up at him again and studied him. I swear he was like a Greek god. A muscular figure, jet black hair, ocean blue eyes-

"Like what you see." He said with a smug look on his face. 

"In your dreams water freak." I got up and straightened out my white shirt but quickly zipped up my sweater when i realized my bra could be seen through it. 

"Don't worry, I like hearts too." He smirked at me. 

My face heated up as i glared at him. 

"Jerk." I pushed past him and walked down the street. 

"SEE YOU AROUND PRINCESS!"
