Hard Punches
Confessions- Rin: Nashi might seem like a weak little-depressed girl. But damn...did that punch hurt.
"Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength."
- Arnold Schwarzenegger

I panted heavily, watching the cold air escape from my mouth to the air as I breathed out. My legs were getting numb as hell, and they refused to continue to carry on with my running any longer.
“NASHI!”
My brain was telling my legs to continue moving before he caught up with me fully, but my legs just wouldn't listen. Instead, they stood firmly planted in the snow as I violently shivered, clutching onto the small cardigan that was doing an awful job of keeping me warm.
He put a hand on my shoulder that was surprisingly warm and turned my body to face him.
“P-please, don't do that again.” Storm sighed, struggling to get ahold of his breath. He then looked down to my 5'4 figure and gave me a questioning look. “Why did you take off like that in the first place?”
“You're not my best friend, I don't have any. Can't you see that I am as useless as a pillow in a sword fight?” I rolled my eyes and scoffed, “Everyone else has.”
As soon as I finished my sentence my back was met with a cold wall and a 5'9 Storm Fullbuster towering over me. This time when I looked into his eyes they weren't the cocky, playful, flirty, Storm. They were replaced by ice cold crystals that could freeze even the hottest of fires.
“I don't care what others think. It's my own opinion. I am choosing not to give up on you, no matter how damn annoying you get.”
It was usually at this moment that I would've replied with a smart ass remark. Or a physical way of saying “don't touch me.” But all I did this time was nod and hope he would get the message.
“Good.” He backed away from me, letting me stop getting sandwiched in between a wall and him. “Let's get to your training.”

“Try again.”
I hit the punching bag with as much force that I could muster up in that moment. But, it still wasn't enough. The bag moved slightly, more than before. How was it possible? I have no idea.
“Try ag-”
“Leave the poor girl alone you jackass.”
Storm and I turned to meet another pair of onyx eyes, not Sylvia's, sadly. Instead, it was Rin. The next best thing...I guess.
“Who you calling jackass? I'm just teaching her.” Storm answered.
Rin put an over exaggerated look of shock on his face, “You call THAT teaching?!”
“Motivation-”
“Don't come over with your ‘motivation’ shit either.” Rin then looked at me “Oh you poor thing, you look like crap.”
I clenched my fists and narrowed my eyes at him.
Storm looked at him confused, but a wave of realization hit him as he relaxed.
Rin then scanned me and continued ranting, “You might as well ask lightning to do your hair- geez! what the hell is wrong with you?! your short as f-”
I threw a hard punch at him that I unintentionally lit with golden flames.
Which may I add, I didn't know I could do.
Rin quickly caught it with his hand and looked over at Storm smiling triumphantly.
“THAT is how you teach someone.”
Storm just rolled his eyes and scoffed at him,
“That was even worse than my method”
“Aha! So you admit that your method sucked!”
“No-”
I lost control of myself and wrapped my arms around the both of them, catching them by surprise.
“Thank you...” I replied softly.
“Um...your welcome. Just get your sweaty, Godzilla self, off of my perfect body.”
With that I finally punched Rin in the face, sending him flying into the mat.
“Wanna re-think that teaching method yet, Little brother dearest?” Storm cooed smirking at him.
“Fuck you both...” he mumbled.
Storm and I broke out laughing, and for the first time, I felt truly happy.
