(The next morning)

(No POV)

Y/N woke up with Gardevoir's arm still wrapped around him, he tried to fall back asleep but remembered that he wasn't sleeping in the Odyssey ship or even at his bed back home, he was in Ohya's apartment. After recognizing that detail, Y/N turned to the sleeping Gardevoir and whispered to her trying to wake her up.

Y/N- Gardevoir...hey Gardevoir, wake up.

At first, she didn't move an inch and was still asleep after repeated taps on her cheek and whispers, she began to move around while yawing. Her eyes opened and she smiled at Y/N.

Gardevoir- Good morning master, did you sleep well?~

Y/N- I did, but we may need to go now before she wakes up, I don't want to have to explain what happened last night with Ohya, especially since she may not remember any of it due to her heavy drinking.

Gardevoir- Understood, then we shall not waste any time.

Both of them got up from the makeshift bed and Y/N put everything back while Gardevoir grabbed Y/N's backpack to give him when he was done. Y/N was about to grab his backpack and head toward the door but then...

*Stomach Growling*

Y/N- Oh man.

Gardevoir- What's the matter?

Y/N- I'm starving, maybe we should stay here a little and...help ourselves.

Gardevoir- Of course, I'm sure this Ohya woman won't mind if you use her food.

Y/N- I sure hope so, let's see what she has in her kitchen.

Y/N went to the fridge to see what he could make himself for breakfast, he saw mostly nothing appetizing but then he saw some eggs, bacon, and fruit. He took out the three appealing food items and began to make eggs and bacon for breakfast, along with a mixed fruit cup. 

Y/N- Well, looks like it's eggs and bacon, I'll wash these fruits for you Gardevoir.

Gardevoir- That would be kind of you master, thank you.

With that, the two got to work making breakfast, and the whole time, Ohya surprisingly didn't wake up from the constant noises from the sound of eggs cooking, bacon sizing, and Gardevoir using some of her powers to chop the fruits onto cups. Y/N was thankful she didn't wake up as he wouldn't have been able to explain the Pokemon cooking along with him and also the risk of her not remembering last night and the mess that could ensue. All those thoughts disappeared when breakfast was done, the two sat down at the dining table and began to enjoy the meal.

Gardevoir- What will we be doing today, Y/N?

Y/N- Honestly, I have no plan right now, all I can do is hope for the best until we get word from that Igor guy about a first lead on a Power Moon. We need them to fix the ship so we can leave this universe and finally return home.

Gardevoir- That would be the ideal goal as I am curious about where you come from. Do Pokemon exist there?

Y/N- Well, not exactly, you exist but in fictional media, video games to be exact. 

Gardevoir- I see.

Y/N- Let's worry about that much later, we should finish eating and leave this place.

Gardevoir- Agreed.

Y/N and Gardevoir soon finished their meal, cleaned up after themselves, and finally exited the apartment. Y/N took one last look at Ohya still sleeping on the couch and quietly said...

Y/N- Bye Ohya, maybe we'll meet again but...who knows. Thanks.

And with that, Y/N and Gardevoir were back on the road to begin their adventure, not knowing what would happen next.

(Ohya's POV)

I woke up with one of the biggest headaches I had and walked to the bathroom to grab some pain medication, I went to sit down for a little to let the medicine do its thing, in the meantime, I tried to remember what happened last night as I don't recall much except for a voice that belongs to a boy. 

Ohya- I remember hearing: "I'll get you home safely". Or was it that?

My vision was blurry at that time so I couldn't get a good look at him but I do remember he had H/C. I also remember getting kicked out of a bar and hearing something, as I went to see what it was, there he was the boy with H/C hair. We chatted and I think I may have tried to offer a drink to him but said he wasn't old enough to drink. I don't think he said his age but I'm gonna assume he is in high school. I was going home but then he offered to take me home which I appreciated him doing. I even asked for his name, I didn't remember it at first but thinking hard, I think it was...

"Y/N."

My heart felt lighter when I remembered his name and I didn't expect that but the more I thought of the name, the more the feeling returned. The way he went out of his way to help a helpless drunken woman like me is selfless and deserves to be rewarded.

Ohya- Wait, is he still here? I need to see my hero in clear view.

I walked over to the living room to see him but when I got there, he was gone. I felt blue like all of the happiness I felt earlier was gone, now my apartment felt like nothing. I had to find anything he might have left behind to give me a clue of where he could've gone, I looked around the place and caught a smell of food cooking so I went to my kitchen and saw that cooking had taken place not long ago, it smelled of eggs, and bacon, and saw remaining fruit pieces in the trash. He must've cooked himself breakfast before leaving but left with no clue of where he went, wait I remember him saying that he would be gone by the morning last night, he stayed with me as he had no place to go and I was asleep and only responded to him with hums and headshakes. Damn it, I wish I were still awake at that time so I would've seen him better and gotten to know him better, for the first time I felt regretful for my drinking habits. I felt myself getting better from the headaches, then without a second to lose, I went to grab my bag with my camera and exited my apartment with a new goal in mind.

Ohya's mind- To find Y/N.~

And I won't stop until I do.~

(Timeskip)

(Y/N's POV)

Once again, I had no direction to go so I decided to keep exploring this city until something happened or Igor summons me again for a moon location, and I realized that until I stuck luck again, I once again have no way to feed myself or a place to stay, man I came to this world broke as hell. While I was thinking to myself, I saw Gardevoir floating in front of my direction looking at me with a concerned look.

Gardevoir- Master, is there something troubling you? 

Thankfully, I learned I could talk to Gardevoir without having to move my mouth, and that was to think my words to her. It makes it easier to commute without looking insane for talking to myself in public.

Y/N's mind- Oh, I'm just thinking Gardevoir.

Gardevoir- About what?

Y/N's mind- Well, what are we going to do for lunch later, and most of all, where are we gonna sleep tonight? 

Gardevoir- I'm sure we will find a way to get around those troubling thoughts master, you'll always find a way like you have so far.

Y/N's mind- Yeah, maybe you're right. 

I crossed the street to another corner, then I heard a shout not far from me.

"Excuse me, young man? Yes, you!"

I looked to my right and saw a young woman with long blonde hair and wearing odd clothing.

Y/N- Uhh Me?

"Well, yes you. Would you be interested in finding out your fortune today? Then come on over and see what is in store for you."

Is she some of a fortune teller? Where is her glass ball and those hats they wear with the eye in the middle? Eh, what the hell, I'll give it a shot.

Y/N- Ok, you got me curious.

Fortune teller woman- Great, come have a seat and we can begin.

I sat down on the chair and she got out some cards of interesting-looking designs and shuffled them.

Y/N- Just to let you know, I don't have any cash to give you, I-

Fortune teller woman- Oh, well I'll give you this one free of charge since I noticed you are a newcomer to this city.

Whoa, how did she know?

Y/N- Ok, that was good, I just arrived here not long ago, how do you know?

Fortune teller woman- I have seen many of the same faces here every day, I have memorized them to a tee that I could picture it with my eyes closed but you, I knew you were a fresh face and that was half the reason I called for you, to see what kind of newcomer you are.

Y/N- Thats cool, ok I'm ready to see my fortune.

Fortune teller woman- Very well, let's begin.

As she was stacking her cards, I saw Gardevoir floating behind the woman with a suspicious look.

Gardevoir- Y/N, she doesn't have any power in her, I think she may fool you with a false fortune.

Y/N's mind- Don't worry Gardevoir. It's mostly just a bunch of mumbo jumbo anyway, I don't believe in this stuff, I am doing this for fun.

Gardevoir- If you say so Y/N, let's see what the fake teller says.

I mentally rolled my eyes and saw that the teller was finished stacking her cards.

Fortune teller woman- Now, let's see what's your fortune young man.

She pulled out a card and it had a cool yet quite creepy look to it.

Fortune teller woman- The Fool.

Y/N- What does it mean?

Fortune teller woman- Kind like how I thought when I first saw you, a new face that has come to Japan from another country and that country is...

She looked at me closely and snapped her finger.

America.

I was amazed that she got that one right, but one thing she was wrong in, I am from another America. 

Fortune teller woman- You have traveled to different places that almost seem familiar but don't quite exist in our plane of existence, this is strange.

Y/N- Well, I have visited quite a few places and each one gave me memories that I couldn't tell them all.

Fortune teller woman- Yes, and Japan is your new adventure, you have come here to achieve a goal that brings tensions but I feel that won't stop you and you will succeed but be warned, it will come with obstacles.

Y/N- Well, let them come, I am no stranger to challenges and obstacles.

The teller looked at me with surprise.

Fortune teller woman- You have spirit young man, an unbreakable one. That I have never seen in anyone for a long time. What is your name?

Y/N- Y/N L/N, and what is yours?

Fortune teller woman- The name is Chihaya Mifune and I will remember you Y/N L/N, as you are a unique kind of fool.

At first, I felt I was insulted but then I knew she meant by my card, But Gardevoir looked at Chiaya with a dark look so I had to clear things.

Y/N's mind- She meant my fortune card Gardevoir, not by the insult.

She eased her glare on her but never took her eyes off of her, I swear she can get hostile a bit too easily.

Y/N- Well Miss Chihaya, that was a fun time but I got to go and do my adventure like you said but thanks for the fun. 

I stood up from my seat to head out but then I felt my arm grabbed with a little grip.

Chihaya- Before you go, I have to ask. Do you think we will meet paths again?

Thats a specific question from her.

Y/N- I think we may, but when next time? No idea.

Chihaya- Then I look forward to it then Y/N.

I smiled at her and nodded to her, letting me go, I began walking to the path I had taken before all this to go somewhere, not sure where.

(Chihaya's POV)

I didn't take my eyes off of Y/N until he was no longer visible down the street, of all of my time telling fortunes, I have never felt so strongly about a fortune ever but Y/N, he was the one to create this strong feeling of excitement and interest in me. Now, I pray we do cross paths soon, and even so...

 Chihaya's mind- I'll have to make it happen one way or another.

We will see each other again Y/N and I want to do another telling for you again and hear about your travels again.~

(Igor's POV)

I am observing Y/N as he wanders the streets of the city, I saw the interaction with that woman and I must admit, she predicted his exact Arcana for him, The Fool. I always thought he would fit that Arcana as he does seem to have many of the qualities of one but how he will take his new journey is anyone's guess. I think it is time to bring him back to mementos again to have him search for this strange moon object he seems to be needing, I think this shall be an interesting watch.

Igor's mind- This is getting more interesting by the minute, let's see what he will bring next.

(Minor Timeskip)

(Y/N's POV)

I was sitting down on a bench near a park, catching my breath after walking for about two hours straight, any more walking my legs may have given up on me. Gardevoir showed up near the corner of my eye, floating next to me, lucky that she didn't use her legs for walking, or she would feel tired as well.

Gardevoir- Your body is stressed out master, do rest and settle down a bit before we go any further.

Y/N's mind- I am, thanks for the concern.

I got out my phone to pass the time before I was ready again but then I saw a shadow in front of me and heard a voice.

"Excuse me?"

I looked up and saw an older girl wearing a school uniform of some kind.

I liked the ribbon on her hair, a nice touch but I was wondering what she needed or wanted.

Y/N- Yes?

Red Ribbon girl- Is that empty spot next to you taken by any chance?

Y/N- Oh no, no one claimed it. Do you need a seat?

Red Ribbon girl- If you don't mind, that is.

Y/N- Oh, not at all. Be my guest.

She did a closed-eye smile and said...

Red Ribbon girl- Thank you.

She took the empty spot and only looked in her front direction, my attention went back to my phone but decided that I was bored with it and got out my switch to play some games. I put on some Super Mario Bros 3D All-Stars. Then I felt a force close to me and saw it was the girl looking at my screen with curiosity, it took me by surprise a little.

Red Ribbon girl- Oh, sorry for snooping but I couldn't help but look at your unique-looking game device. It's something I've never seen before, what is it called?

I decided to tell her since I thought it wouldn't hurt since I know the switch doesn't exist in this universe.

Y/N- It's called a switch, a console that can take gaming on the go anytime, anywhere. Want to see me play?

Red Ribbon girl- If it isn't too much to ask, I am waiting for a friend to meet up with and I could use an entertaining view to pass the time.

Y/N- Cool, then enjoy the show.

I played Super Mario Sunshine with the girl either chuckling at Mario's antics, in awe with the colorful world and never taking her eyes off the screen for even a second. This went on for a while and just when I beat one of the levels, I heard a phone ring and it was the girl's phone, she went to check on it and quickly stood up. Looks like her friend is here I guess, she turned to me waving me bye.

Red Ribbon girl- My friend is here and told me to meet near the entrance of the park, so I got to go but thanks for letting me view your console, it was a ton of fun.

Y/N- No problem, have a good one.

Red Ribbon girl- You too.

Then she ran off, I smiled a little before getting back to my game with Gardevoir sitting next to me now.

Gardevoir-  You must've enjoyed that girl's company, didn't you Y/N?

Her tone was a bit off when he said that, did she consider her a threat of some kind?

Y/N's mind- I was just being nice Gardevoir, nothing wrong with that.

Gardevoir- I am only concerned that you may come across a girl who would take advantage of you Master, that's why I must keep an eye out for any female that might do just that. 

Y/N's mind- I sorta get where you're coming from but so far, nothing like that happened but I get it.

Gardevoir- I just want your safety ensured, that's all Y/N.

Y/N's mind- And I appreciate it but maybe tone down your hostilities a little bit, for me, please?

Gardevoir nodded and gave me a more relaxed look.

Gardevoir- Ok, I'll do my best in your request, I didn't mean to upset you.

Y/N's mind- I'm not upset but just a little weirded out by your behavior that's all.

Gardevoir- Ok.

I stood up from my seat, feeling much better to walk again.

Y/N's mind- Well, I think we should continue some more, who knows maybe we'll see some action soon.

Gardevoir- Understood.

I walked to my right, wondering where to go next but not even a minute later, I saw a blue glow in the distance, I got a closer look and it was a jail cell door. I looked around me and saw that no one else turned to see this door so that meant only Gardevoir and I were meant to see this, and also that meant Igor wanted to see me. 

Gardevoir- It appears Igor is calling you.

Y/N's mind- Yeah, he is. Well, let's see what he has in store for us.

Without any second guesses, I walked towards the door and it opened when I got closer to it, I entered inside and was teleported back to the velvet room with Igor at his desk, having that same expression as before.

Igor, Ah Y/N, so good to see you again.

Y/N's mind- I can't say the same to you but whatever.

Y/N- Yeah, so what news do you have about the moons?

Igor- Ah, I was just going to tell you that, you see I spotted a moon that is near the higher levels of Mementos.

Y/N- You did?

Igor- I have and I also wanted to give you something to let you know when I next spot a moon so you don't have to come here all the time, I think it would be very convenient for you.

Y/N- Oh well, thanks. But what is this thing you want to give me?

Igor- Let me bring them forth, I don't think you met the two yet.

Igor snapped his finger and two shadow-like figures appeared that looked human but shorter, then they appeared clearly and I gotta say...

Y/N's mind- What in the actual hell do I see?

Igor- Y/N, let me introduce you to Caroline and Justine, my two Velvet room attendants.

The two just stared at me for a full solid minute and in awkward silence, I tried to break off the silence by saying hi to them. 

Y/N- Uhh hi, the name is Y/N and...

"Let's cut that already, we already know who you are, let's not have you repeat yourself like a broken record!"

The girl with the baton in her hand said that and that left me a little surprised.

"Don't mind her attitude too much, it's just how she is but we do know you are Y/N, Mr. Igor showed us your arrival and told us all about you so far."

The other girl who is holding a clipboard said that.

Y/N- Uh Igor?

Igor- Yes?

Y/N- I heard you said that their names are Caroline and Justine, but which one is...

Igor- Oh yes, the one to the left is Caroline, and to the right is Justine.

The two both bowed in front of me for some reason but I put my hand up.

Y/N- Nice to meet you two.

They both shook my hand and never left me out of their eyesight, which was already getting creepy.

Y/N- Well, now that we have met, what was this thing that Igor said you had to give me?

Justine- I have it right here, here you go.

She held this moon-like thing in her hand and it had a simple look to it, kinda pretty too.

I took it out of her hand and looked at it for a little bit.

Igor- This piece of jewelry will change colors based on the color of the moon it is and the way it works is that it will start to make a dim glow when one is nearby but when you get closer and closer, it will become brighter. Once you claim the moon, the charm will lose its color.

Y/N- I see.

I saw it had an attached hook to it and thought it would go with the bracelets Oleana gave me, I clipped it onto my silver one and it fitted right.

Igor- Hmm, not bad Y/N. 

Justine- I couldn't agree more.

Caroline- But don't you lose it cause you won't be able to get another one, and if you do, oh well.

Y/N- Don't worry about that, I'll make sure to keep it close.

Igor- Now that you have it, it is time that you go on to find the moon.

Y/N- Right, come on Gardevoir.

Gardevoir- Right behind you master.

Igor summoned a red portal and we both walked inside it and just like in a flash, we were back into Mementos. 

Gardevoir- Y/N, your charm is showing a very dull glow.

I checked to see the charm and it showed a barely visible color of blue, so that means the moon is blue and we were already in the right step.

Y/N- That means we are already on the right path, let's continue.

Gardevoir- Right.

We continued on the path which slowly but surely got brighter, this was kinda of easy but I got the feeling we wouldn't grab it and go, I'm sure we would find one of those black monster things I saw. But I got Gardevoir with me so I think I should be alright. Sometime later, the glow got even brighter, and just then, I heard a soft hum and when I turned to the next path, I saw it.

The Power moon, in all of its glory. I stood still for a bit to see how something from a video game could be so beautiful when it's in front of you.

Y/N- My god, we found it. 

Gardevoir- It's simply without any words of its beauty.

Y/N- Damn right and it's this that will help us fix the ship to get out of here, let's get it.

I went to grab the moon but when I was about to grab it, I heard some distorted voices in front of me.

"Don't touch the precious night sky gem, trespasser!!!"

"We won't let you take it!!"

Then, two shadows appeared and revealed strange-looking monsters.

They were big creatures with one looking like an angel knight and the other looking like a fucked up lovechild between a goat and a horse.

"You shall not take this treasure!! Leave or suffer wrath!"

The Goatacorn just breathed heavily, having this look of violence on me. I wasn't leaving without that moon but I had no weapons with me to fight these so I knew what to do.

Y/N- Gardevoir! I choose you!

In no time flat, she appeared with a dark aura on her.

Gardevoir- Master, send me your first command and I'll do the rest.

I looked at my switch to see her move sets and saw so many moves that I don't remember her learning, like Confuse Ray, Knock Off, or Mystical Fire. All her trained moves were there, so I used this Psychic move.

Y/N- Gardevoir, use Zen Headbutt on the knight!

She did the move on that knight but I focused all on that fight, I didn't realize that the Gorse creature was charging towards me. I saw it speeding up with its horns aimed at my chest and thought I was royally fucked.

Y/N- SHIT SHIT SHIT!!

Just when it was close, I saw a clear shield screen surrounding me which caused the Gorse to hit that instead and was stunned so hard, it was like it froze in place.

Gardevoir- It's alright master, I won't be long with this one. 

Gardevoir then used another move called Thunderbolt on the knight which was a critical hit too, the knight exploded into black dust particles or something. After that, she shifted her focus on the Gorse which was recovering from its stun, but it wouldn't be able to make a move as Gardevoir used Body Slam to defeat it in one go.

Gardevoir- You're not worth a special move, you weak creature.

It did the same thing when the knight was defeated, victory was ours.

Y/N- Ha Ha! We did it, we won. Great job Gardevoir!

Gardevoir- It was no trouble at all Y/N, it's all part of my sworn duty to protect you.

Y/N- Well, you deserve something special later but right now, we need to get this moon and go back to the normal world.

Gardevoir nodded and we went to get the moon, as we were reaching for it, I saw a soft glowing shine near the moon, and it looked like bags. When I went to grab them, I opened them and saw a bunch of strange-looking currency but quickly realized it was the Japanese Yen.

Y/N- Well, holy shit! Money!

I went to count the amount it was inside but I heard my switch beep and saw numbers that I could assume it was the Yen amount and it read: 43,422 Yen. Sounds like a lot but when I converted that amount on my phone into this universe of US dollars, that was 300 dollars.

Y/N's mind- Wow, this could be enough for one motel night and food for tonight and tomorrow's breakfast and maybe lunch if possible.

Gardevoir- Is this the money you said we had none of?

Y/N- It is, thanks to that fight that probably gave us this, we could now sleep in a cheap bed at a motel but that's better than a bench outside. Maybe we need to explore the idea of doing combat in this place to earn more money like this.

Gardevoir- If that's what we have to do then I'm ready at your command.

Y/N- Awesome but let's grab the freaking moon and dip.

 I went to get the moon, it felt warm to grab it by my hands and just when it was there, it was gone. I saw my switch screen showing the moon collected and it was stored in a virtual storage of some kind, very convenient. 

Y/N- Ok, now that we have the moon, let's go to the floor to the escalators to get back to the normal world. 

Gardevoir- Right.

We headed back to the first-level entrance and went through the warped portal again and just like that, we were back and this time, in another place of the city. It was evening with the sun about to set, I knew it was time to look for a place to stay. With Gardevoir going back to being invisible again for everyone except for me floating next to me, I walked to the north side of the streets to find a motel of some kind to crash for the night. 

30 minutes later...

Damn, this side of the city is quite longer than I expected, I couldn't find any cheap places, just expensive-looking hotels that were way above my budget. At this point, I may have to ask someone where I can find a motel or maybe another city area.

Gardevoir- Master, you may have to ask someone to find what you need.

Y/N's mind- Yeah, I think that might be the case, but to find someone is the question. 

There were thousands of people walking and stopping one to ask for directions was a little Nerve-racking but it was something I had to do. I was about to ask a man for directions until...

"Oh, hi there. Nice to see you so soon again."

That was behind me and when I turned around to see who it was, I was surprised to see who it was.

It was the girl with the red ribbon from earlier at the park again, this was a hell of a coincidence to meet again.

Y/N- O-oh hi again.

Red Ribbon girl- *Giggles* Yeah, I'm a little surprised too but here we are. I never really got to express my graduate for your kindness today, and I thought finding you would take forever to repay that kindness but it seems like you made that part easier. But anyway, I wanted to repay you for earlier today, is there anything I can do?

Well, it seems asking for directions seems easier after all.

Y/N- Do you know the nearest Motel by any chance?

Whew, boy! I think this may be the longest chapter I have written yet with over 5080 words but it was all worth it for you all and hope you enjoy this latest chapter!! Things have been all over the place hence why it took a while but I'm fine for the most part and I'm always happy to write these whenever the chance is given to me.
