(The next day)

(Y/N's POV)

I woke up with the morning sun shining at my eyes and I tried to get up but Gloria, Bounsweet, and Ralts were sleeping next to me all covered up with the blanket. I shook Gloria up and soon enough, she woke up and yawned while both Pokemon woke up too.

Gloria- *Yawn* Good morning Y/N mate, ready for another day of adventure.~

Y/N- Actually...*Yawn*...yes I am.

She gave a sleepy smile and got up and walked towards the cooking pit. Then Bounsweet and Ralts jumped on me, rubbing themselves on my chest while smiling too.

Ralts- *Laughs*

Bounsweet- *Giggles* Boun!

Y/N- *Chuckles* Morning to you two Bounsweet and Ralts.

I stretched my body for a quick minute, then I smelled something good and I turned around to see Gloria heating the cooking pit to make some food.

Gloria- I'm gonna make some simple porridge with the wheat rations I bought earlier in the trip and with some added sweet berries. I think your gonna like it.

Y/N- I never had it before, but it looks like oatmeal. Ah, I'm sure it's gonna be good, I like Oatmeal.

Gloria- Oatmeal? *Laughs.* Your silly Y/N.~

I smiled and went to play with both my Pokemon to wait for the meal to be done. Ralts just wanted to play ball and Bounsweet wanted me to lift her in the air and basically do the rocket ship. Then, not long after, Gloria called for us and she served us bowls I couldn't wait for her, and I went in for the first spoonful and the taste of this is so....good.

Y/N- MMM, I got say Gloria, this is delcisous.

Gloria- I'm glad you like it Y/N, this is really simple to do but it will hold you up this the afternoon and we got a lot to do, so eat up now!

And eat up I did, I ended up getting a second full bowl worth and she wasn't kidding, I was stuffed along with Bounsweet wanting more again, and Ralts satisfied. But there wasn't anymore for Boun so some berries from my bag helped with that one. 

Y/N- Ah, thanks for the meal Gloria, but I think we should get going now.

Gloria- Good idea Y/N and you are very welcome too.~

We packed everything up, cleaned up a little and I put Ralts and Bounsweet back in their Pokeballs. We finished up and now walked over to the city stairs and I didn't even realize till now that the city in front of me was bigger up close than it was when we entered the Wild Area. Well, time to make our way up there and see what's gonna happen today.

(Timeskip)

After walking some more, we made it to the top of the stairs, and then, I saw the city upfront and it looks super chill.

Kinda looks like an Industrial Revolution town but cleaner and stuff, also pokemon.

Gloria- Ah, here we are Y/N, Motostoke. This is where we need to go in regarding registering for the Pokemon challenges, and it's over by that bigger building up there, that's the stadium, the first big step in our adventures.

Y/N- Cool! I can't wait to battle some more.

Gloria- That's the spirit Y/N, but first I gotta go to the Pokecenter over there to get some supplies. Need anything?

Y/N- Nah, I'm good, I got plenty of stuff for now.

Gloria- Well, I'm gonna go over there, wait over by the front door ok?

Y/N- You got it.

Gloria- Good.~

We walked to the Pokecenter and she went inside while I took out my switch and checked on the stats of my team. But then, I heard some tiny footsteps coming my way and then, I felt something rub my legs gently and cheerfully. I quickly looked down and saw a Yamper.

Yamper- *Bark!*

Y/N- Hey Buddy, where did you come from?

"That would be me, Y/N."

I looked up and saw Sonia walking toward me

Y/N- Hi Sonia.

Sonia- Hello again Y/N. What are you doing right now?~

Y/N- Just standing here, looking over some stats and stuff, what about you?

Sonia- I'm out here exploring ancient knowledge of the Sword and Sheild, also traveling along as I go, with the Pokemon Challenges happening and all that.

Y/N- Neat, the Sword, and Sheild.

Sonia- Indeed it is, so are you alone or...

Y/N- Oh no, I'm with Gloria but she is inside the Pokecenter getting some supplies, I'm waiting till she's done.

Sonia made a strange on her face that looked kinda scary but still smiled, I wonder.

Sonia- Oh ok, then....maybe we can explore this myth and whatnot, just the two of us...alone.~

Y/N- Yeah...sometime then.

Sonia- Excellent, but I have to go now, good luck with the challenges I'll be cheering for you.~

Y/N- Thanks, see you later.

She left and Yamper followed along and just then, Gloria exited the Pokecenter.

Gloria- All right mate, done with that. Also, did I hear someone just now?

Y/N- I...Uhh..nope. No one was here.

Gloria then was looking at me with an odd look on her eyes along with a darker shade of her eye color, no smile on her face either. She went on like this for a little bit and I tried not to flinch a bit. Finally, she went back to normal and smiled again.

Gloria- Ok Y/N, I believe you. Well, let's go to the stadium then but let's look at the shops first.

She grabbed my hand and off we go to the shops.

(No POV)

Y/N and Gloria went to most of the shops and checked out everything, and Y/N even got some free goodies that people gave to him. That's Pokemon for him, but anyways soon they met with Leon and Hop.

Leon waved to them to come over and they did just that with Leon telling them about the challenges and what to do next, but also showing his Charizard. Hop was his usual self and was very determined to do this. The group then went to this moving gear platform and it took them to the upper sections of the city. They walked to the stadium doors and Gloria, Y/N and Hop went inside to get started.

(Y/N's POV)

We walked over to the front desk but we heard some talk and it came from that Purple Jacket wearing person.

????- That's all? Please, this will be no trouble at all, unlike the rest of these fools here.

He walked away from the desk and looked at me and Gloria, he had a smug look on his face.

????- If you two think your gonna win this thing, think again, I have been selected only by the best to win this and that means I already know I'm gonna win. Still, we will battle one of these days but I know the results already. Later fools.

He walked away from that all high and mighty like he was all that shit, what a prick.

Gloria- Don't listen to him Y/N, we will prove him wrong and he will be sorry that he said all that to us.

Y/N- Now I do want to do this even more now, to do just that.

Gloria- Yeah, now let's go.

We walked to the front and the people there registered us very quickly and gave us a uniform to wear when we actually get to do the gym challenges. Gloria got hers first and had to go to the changing room to put it on and I was to go next. I waited for a little bit and I looked around the place to explore. Then, I saw someone else coming in and it looked like another trainer but this was a girl and she dressed...goth-ish.

She looked at me with an emotionless face and stared at me for a bit, and I stood there not knowing what to think of this. Then, she walked up to me and looked at me some more before saying something.

????- You are here for the challenges?

Y/N- Yeah I am, I'm gonna assume you are too.

????- Yup, you are right. So, what's your name?

Y/N- Oh, my name is...

"Y/N?!"

The sound of my name had me turning to see Gloria and she was wearing her brand new uniform.

Y/N- Oh, what's up Gloria? You look so cool right now.

Gloria- Thank you but I was looking for you, your up next for changing into your uniform. Also, who is she?

That took a turn, I don't even know her name and I was gonna tell her mine before Gloria showed up.

Y/N- Oh uhh...

????- It seems you are busy right now, so I'll find out later on. I'll see you soon, boy.

She walked off soon and Gloria grabbed my arm and kinda forcibly dragged me along.

Gloria- Come on Y/N, let's not keep them waiting right?

I didn't say anything to her and I quickly went to the changing room, wanting to keep a distance for a little bit from Gloria.

Y/N- I swear, I keep seeing a pattern here but I keep forgetting to mention this. I wonder if this is  Master hand working in this?

(Gloria's POV)

I couldn't believe what I saw, Y/N was talking to that strange girl, and just when I was gonna ask how I looked with my uniform. This girl will be around more and just like Sonia, she is on my watch list too. 

Gloria's mind- I will be the ultimate champion for Y/N, and then he will want to be with me. No other girl but me. It's game time.~
