As the ship was traveling to its next destination, Y/N was taking a long nap after many hours of overthinking the mess that happened back at the fire emblem world. From Corrin turning out to be the dragon beast to the girls acting very strange towards him, it was so much to reflect on. But while he was napping, the switch Lite by the chair turned on and had a message on its screen...

" Please stand by...switch upgrade active."

The switch upgraded itself from the lite to the new...

"...Upgrade complete. Starting Navigations..."

The switch was done with hardware evolution and next was its software which will serve Y/N very well as he was going to a world where tracking stats and more like it...is essential to survival.

(Y/N's POV)

I started to wake up from that long nap and looked outside the window and saw that a portal opened up all of a sudden, so I held on to a tight grip on the side handles and held on.

Y/N's mind- Here we go again!!

The ship entered the portal and I was guessing on where I was going next, based on what I experienced, maybe somewhere colorful like the Mario universe. The ship slowed down and the computer announced the state of the ship.

"Arriving at Galar Region, initiating landing sequence."

The ship landed on the ground and the ship shut down leaving me to walk straight again. I looked out the window and this time, I saw lush trees, green grass, grounded roads and so much more. I looked for my switch but it looked very different, I took a closer look and found that it turned into the switch OLED.

I didn't know how that happened but when I fell asleep, it was the lite model so maybe it happened during my sleep but still, this is insane. I turned it on and the UI was different, my games, the ship's app, and more were there. It even had an inventory button and when I clicked on it, it showed nothing but I guess in the future, I can just have the switch place it in there, I don't know yet but I'll see soon.

Y/N- Well, time to explore...again.

I grabbed my backpack and opened the door to the great outdoors. I closed the door behind me and the door automatically locked itself so I know it won't be stolen by anyone while I'm gone. I saw a trail and began to walk that path, having no idea where it was taking me but I guess that's the point of an adventure, not knowing the destination. 

(Timeskip)

All I found so far were woodlands, trees, and nothing else, this was maybe a mistake to take a random path after all, but I don't want to turn back now. Not after how much I was walking, especially when I don't have anything to do over there but take me places. 

Y/N's mind- Can something happen?

Just then, my switch was beeping and it showed something in a direction so I followed it and when I got close to the spot, it was near some tall grass and I checked to see if anything was there, something shiny blue was there. I touched it and it quickly disappeared, I didn't know what was that but again the switch showed something on the screen, it loaded it in and showed what it was and it was a...

Pokeball?!

Y/N- Wait a minute, I know now where I am, I am in the pokemon world. 

And the ship said I was in the Galar region so this is 100 percent sword and shield, awesome! Well, my very first item in the inventory system. I continued on with my path feeling happy about that find and wondering if this thing can detect more objects. I walked some more than the screen beeped again and I followed it, leading me to another object, picked it up, and got a...

"Y/N got Pomeg berry. Item placed in the inventory system."

Y/N- Sweet!

Another item in a short amount of time, this must be my lucky day! I was now excited to explore this place some more and see what else is there. But then...

*Bush rustling*

I heard something coming from that bushes and the screen said a pokemon was nearby so I checked it out and when I got close to it, a shadow popped out of nowhere and I fell back a little from the shock.

Y/N- Oh God!

I quickly got up and saw what it was, the pokemon in front of me looked like a fucked up bird.

Wait, it looked like an owl.

Y/N- ...Hoothoot?

*Hoo! Hoo!*

Now this Hoothoot was in front of me and I had no idea what to do, I tried to get away but the damn bird wouldn't let me leave so I was forced to confront it. I didn't know what to fight it with since I don't have any pokemon so I tried to look into my inventory and saw my Pokeball and Pomeg berry. I scrolled to the berry and it said when given to pokemon, it becomes friendlier but lowers HP base points. Oh well, I'll have to try it out, I clicked on the berry to use it and the thing popped into my hand, I was holding the real thing. Next, I threw the berry and the Hoothoot ate it and it became happier.

Hoo Hoo!~

Now that its guard was down, I got the Pokeball and threw it praying that It worked. The ball opened and trapped the owl which made me glad that I was working but now the next part is...will it stay still for it to be mine? I crossed my fingers and the first light blinked....the second blinked...the third one took a while and I thought I was doomed but then...

*Clicked!* 

The Pokeball shined and I knew right then and there...Hoothoot was now inside the ball!!

Y/N- OH MY GOD!! YESS!

I jumped in the joy that I caught my first pokemon, I ran to pick up the ball and went inside the switch and was placed in the Pokedex. I checked on the dex and saw Hoothoot and the stats read:

Hoothoot's stats were normal, at least I think it is. But, this is a big deal for me, I have my very own pokemon. I now have a companion of my own so just in case I run into a pokemon next time, I can battle it to get Hoothoot stronger or to weaken it and catch that pokemon and can build a badass crew from there. Well, this isn't so bad now, maybe things will turn around from here. I have a good feeling about this one.

Y/N- Pokemon world, here we come! An adventure awaits!!
