A few months had passed, and Ironhide and Will's relationship was healthy, non-toxic. One day, Ironhide was at his house, arguing with Justin, his father.

"Why aren't you ever home?! You're always with your damn grandparents!" Justin screamed.

"I don't wanna be stuck here all fucking day! You're never home anyways!" Ironhide snapped back.

"You will NOT talk to your father in that tone! Apologize now!" Justin demanded.

"Oh, fuck off!" Ironhide snapped.

"Ryan Michael Hernandez! You apologize now!" Justin hissed.

"No!" Ironhide replied. As their argument continued on, Justin grabbed Ironhide by the back of his head. Ironhide swung at him, but Justin dodged, and slammed Ironhide's head into the wall, stunning the 16 year old. As Ironhide was stunned, Justin just kept beating him relentlessly.

After a while, Justin left the house, and Ironhide groaned in pain. His face and upper body was beaten in. After a little while, Ironhide stumbled out of the house, Will waiting outside. Will heard the front door open, and his smile dropped. Ironhide staggered down the steps, and collapsed onto the ground.

"Babe!" Will exclaimed, rushing to his side. He made notice that Ironhide was missing several teeth. Ironhide struggled to say something, but he couldn't. Will quickly pulled out his phone and dialed 911, demanding an ambulance be sent.

"Baby, stay awake, okay? Stay awake." Will pleaded, hearing the sirens wailing in the distance. As the ambulance pulled in, Will noticed it was Ratchet.

"Holy shit! What happened?" Ratchet demanded.

"I don't know. I know Ironhide texted me about forty minutes ago, told me to meet him outside his house for our date. I got here about thirty minutes ago, and he came outside, staggering, then he just collapsed. He keeps trying to talk and close his eyes, and I'm afraid if he does he'll die." Will explained, holding Ironhide's hand, causing the raven-hired boy to wince, his wrist broken.

"Call his grandparents now, and help me get him into the ambulance." Ratchet ordered. Luckily, Wheeljack was with him, so once Will and Ratchet and Ironhide were in the back, Wheeljack sped off, heading towards the nearest hospital. Once there, Will met up with Rose and Marcus.

"Will! Any idea on what happened?" Rose asked.

"Ironhide texted me, telling me to meet him outside his house. I was outside waiting, and when he came out, he was staggering, and collapsed. I called 911, so Wheeljack and Ratchet rushed over, and we came here. He kept trying to talk, but it seemed to hurt, so I told him not to, and begged him to stay awake, because I thought if he'd close his eyes, he'd die." Will explained.

Soon, a doctor came out. "What happened, Doc?" Jazz asked.

"He has a broken nose, some missing teeth, bruised eyes, a concussion, broken ribs, a broken wrist, intraocular hemorrhaging, a cracked orbital socket. In shorter words, somebody beat the hell out of this kid, and from past injuries, it's been done before, but not to this extent. You can go ahead and see him." The doctor stated, walking away.

Inside Ironhide's hospital room, Ironhide was looking around, looking miserable. "Oh, my sweet grandbaby!" Rose exclaimed, rushing to his side. Ironhide let out a small whimper at the contact on his face, his face still hurt.

"Baby, who did this to you?" Will asked, by his lover's side.

"M-my... f-father... we argued... he slammed m-my head into... wall... beat me again... left 'fore you... got there..." Ironhide replied, his voice strained.

"Oh, honey.. what about the past injuries you've had?" Rose asked.

"He's... hit me.. 'fore.." Ironhide murmured. 

"Rest, darling. You need it." Rose stated. Ironhide didn't need to be told twice, and he soon fell asleep. Will couldn't believe it.

"I guess that's why Ironhide told me I wouldn't meet his father." Will stated.

"His mother was a bitch. When he was born, she just left him at Justin's front door, and left. Saying she didn't wanna be tied down to a family, she wanted freedom." Marcus stated.

"His father only kept him to inflict his abuse on, I guess. Either that, or kept him to get hefty payouts from us." Rose stated. That night, Will stayed by Ironhide's side the entire night. Doctors left him be.
