After driving for a few hours on the middle of nowhere , finally nandini stopped infront of a small cottage covered with bushes. Manik could see a board on the wall which stated "welcome!! To Dream's orphanage"

Manik wondered why nandini brought him here. He had a lot of things in mind but certainly not this. After parking the car manik and nandini stood before the gates to the orphanage and finally manik asked ...

"Why are we here nandini?"

"This place (pause) means a lot to me...yash and me ..we used to visit this place atleast twice in a month ... being with these children is a happiness in itself"

Manik knew Nandini was emotionally attached to this place....so he didn't interrupt her

"Let's go and meet the kids.. it's been a long time since i came here...they must have missed us..."

Without thinking further nandini stepped inside the orphanage with manik by her side..she looks weirdly happy.. that's what manik thought...but the "us" kept manik confused...the "us" doesn't include manik for sure he knew.

suddenly manik asked

"us?"

Nandini shied .

"me and yash" replied Nandini

manik somewhat expected this answer. he can neither remove yash or his memories from Nandini's life.

When they entered the premises of the orphanage , they were greeted by a lady in her mid 50s. she seemed to be familiar with Nandini but manik deduced that she is the caretaker of the kids after listening her talk.

Nandini introduced him to the lady.

"aunty this is my husband Manik "

she was shocked for a moment but regained her posture immediately. But manik noticed that sudden change in her behavior.

" hello manik"

"manik, this is Miss Victoria Winters. She takes care of the kids"

"hello miss winters"

manik greeted her formally.

"Aunty where are the kids???"

Nandini sounded desperate to meet those small happiness.

"ohhh.... they are on the play ground"

"chalo mein tumhe le jaati hun"

With this Miss winters escorted manik and Nandini to the playground where a dozens of kids were playing on different rides.

Miss winters announced that Nandini is here to see them. And they ran to her with happy faces.

one of the kid who was first to hug Nandini said

"Nandini didi, we missed you so much. you were gone for so long. we missed your gifts and chocolates too. Did you bring my favorite chocolate??"

" yes yes.... I don't wanna die early by forgetting to bring your favorite chocolate...do I"

everyone smiled.

Another kid who was a little older than the previous one said

"seriously dii...its been so many days when you and yash bhai visited us...btw where is he???? he didn't come??"

Nandini gave them a awkward smile.

" yash is actually out of India for his job . He may not be returning any time soon"

to change the topic, Nandini introduced manik..

"kids...this is Manik ...My husband"

the kids finally paid attention towards manik who was standing there for a long time now.

" apne sadhi Karli...now this is a surprise...we all thought that you are gonna marry yash bhai "

Manik noticed that the kids weren't much happy to see him as Nandini's husband.He felt a faint trace of jealousy too.

" yash and I..." Nandini paused a bit

"we were just friends. And he is now just a beautiful past of mine"

"who sab rehne doo....pata hai, manik got so many gifts for you"

"aren't you Manik Malhotra??"

Asked another kid who was youngest of them probably.

Manik nodded in yes and smiled.

They suddenly got excited.

"we have seen you in T.V. you look more handsome in real life" said a girl standing close to Nandini

"well...he is my husband afterall" Nandini said proudly

"chalo..let's collect your gifts kids ..attack!!!!!!!!"

And the kids attacked on the gifts.

After the gifts were distributed , Nandini and manik were sitting on the lawn with the kids infront of them.

Suddenly one of the kid stood up.

"dii...within these days we have learnt the song you used to teach us "

Another kid stood up.

"yes !!! we tried so hard !!! you gotta listen to that"

"sure!!" Nandini said with excitement

All of them stood up and arranged themselves in two rows.

I close my eyes and I can see

Nandini is a legend , manik thought. she literally taught the kids their song. through which they can draw inspiration to deal with their lives . They can dream and make their dreams come true. They can create a world of their own. A world every kid imagines for himself.

manik is reminded the time when he was kid. when he used to dream a world of his own with all his loved ones living a happy lives. where they had a house near a beach and he with his mom and dad would live in that house. They would care for each other and enjoy the sun rising and setting together sitting on the beach. sadly manik never got a proper family and nither a chance to fulfill his dreams. but he did wish that these kids get what they dream for.

with emotions flooding inside him, manik joined the song.....(the next lines of the song would be sung by manik)

finding manik with teary eyes , Nandini understood that manik is now reliving his childhood and it was a wise decision to bring him here.

she stood up to join manik and the kids. She took manik hands in hers and sang while her eyes locked his manik. she had a faint smile on her lips.

now after hearing Nandini sing, Manik smiled to her. He grabbed Nandini's hand more strongly with the promise of never letting go.

after the song was over, everyone clapped .

"Mr. Malhotra, did Nandini dii teach you this song as she did for us?" asked a kid

Manik looked at Nandini who was shyly looking away.

" yes actually.... your Nandini dii told me that this song is for everyone....everyone could make their dreams come true if they try...isn't it correct kids???"

"she taught us the same thing...she told us to never stop dreaming...cause your dreams provoke you to try and make them real" said another kid and everyone nodded in affirmative.

"well.... she did make all my dreams real...now I dream of nothing but her"

Nandini who wasn't looking at manik , turned around immediately to face him. " was it a confession??" her heart thought. "No no....you never know" cleared her mind

"you do love her a lot isn't it?" said the youngest one

Nandini blushed and turned away.

Manik smiled but didn't say anything. Nandini was actually expecting something from manik. But manik being quiet made her uncomfortable.

After sending the whole day with the kids..manan got ready to return home promising the kids to visit them often .

"Mr Malhotra...will you come to visit us next????" asked the kids

"How can i miss being with such nice kids.. we'll come visit you all soon... till then practice another song for us..okay??"

"OKAYYYYYYY" everyone shouted

"Bye kids... don't forget take care of each other and aunty too" said nandini

Miss winters has returned and were now standing with the kids.

The kids waved manan good bye and manik and nandini left from there.
