Third person pov

Lucy walked briskly through the halls, as to get home before she saw her boyfriend. She also wanted to show her mother her test scores because they just were just released to the students earlier that afternoon. She got a 95, as she usually does on tests like these.

She was one of the smartest students in the class, after Levy McGarden. After her was her friend Juvia. The same could not be said of the three's boyfriends, who constantly goofed off in class and did the typical annoying things like throwing paper planes everywhere and passing notes.

"Well," Lucy thought aloud, "It's not my fault if he fails this test and the makeup, if Mr. Clive is merciful enough to offer recovery."

"Lu-chan, where are you rushing off to again? Don't we have a volleyball meeting today?" The blonde's best friend Levy asked, speed-walking alongside her. Lucy facepalmed, she totally forgot about the meeting! Mirajane, the captain, would be so mad at her!

She nodded at Levy, and together they dashed through the halls to the gym. The girls quickly turned the corner and Levy skidded to a stop. Lucy, confused, turned around while still moving, asking, "Why are yo--"

She crashed into Natsu, and one could hear a bonk of her hitting him on the head after they got up. "Owwww, what was that for Luce?" He complained to a blushing Lucy. "You idiot, you should be watching where you're going!" She said, putting her hands on her hips.

He raised an eyebrow, "What are you talking about Lushi, you're the one who was running backwards!"

"Was not!"

"Was too!"

"Was not!"

"Was too!"

Natsu's eye's widened, remembering that he had to ask her something. "Hey Luce, can you stop arguing with me and help me?" he begged. Lucy rolled her eyes. "Depends on what it is, flamebrain." Natsu ignored her insult, whining, "I got a 65 on the testtttttttt." He waved his paper in her face to prove his point.

Lucy rolls her eyes again, getting even more annoyed. "Well what do you want me to do about it!?!?" She groaned.

Natsu grinned. "I want you to tutor me!" Lucy started, "What, no wa--" Levy cut her off, giggling, "Just go with him Lu-chan, Mira'll be okay with you missing practice. I'll just tell her that you two are hanging out, and she'll be fine."

Before Lucy could protest, Natsu was dragging her out of the school to the park. They plopped down on a bench, and Natsu sat there, staring at Lucy expectantly while she brought out her math workbook and some pencils from her bag after sighing. She knew she wouldn't be able to get out of tutoring him even if she tried.

Yes, she does love him but there are some times when she wants to rip off his head from his neck and stuff it in a trashcan. This was one of those times. Of course, Lucy had her moments. But she considered them to be a miniscule quantity when compared to Natsu's.

Deciding to start with an easy concept, she tore out a page that had the problems they worked on about a week ago. "Finish these. You should get at least an 87." she said, staring off into the distance at a paper fluttering in the distance. 

How free was that paper! Nothing weighing it down, going wherever the wind took it, and satisfied with wherever it went. "Hey Luce, I'm done now." said Natsu excitedly. She looked at his paper, and checked off the questions, still staring at the paper in the wind. 

"What's up with that paper? Why're you staring at it?" questioned Natsu, his attention shifting to the paper. "I suppose since you got a 99, I should tell you. I want to be like that paper. Free. Traveling all over. Nothing dragging me down." Lucy rolled her eyes.

Then she remembered an article on how to teach. It said, Have a reward for the student, so that they will be more motivated. Lucy shrugged, "So what's your reward?" she asked the pink haired boy. He grinned. 

"I want to take you on a trip like that! When we get out of school." he smiled. Lucy couldn't refuse that offer.

"As long as you pass this year."
