Nalu: Summon (pt. 1)
Based off of a oneshot on Fanfiction.net by BlackSoulStar, called The Three Keys.
I don't think this actually happened, it's just a theory.
Warning: Cute kissing scene lol
Lucy's pov
I was on a mission without Natsu, since I need to pay rent and him destroying everything around him doesn't really help the amount of money I got. Plus, the reward was 70,000 jewels and included three keys, which I figured I could add to my assortment of them.
I wiped my forehead off. The job just needed me to defeat a couple of monsters that were terrorizing a local cave where the client had stored a family heirloom. Wonder what it is...who am I kidding, it's none of my business!
Walking back, I wonder if the keys that the person's going to give me are going to be. Hmm. I don't have the key of the Dolphin, Delphinus, or the key of the Great Demigod, Orion. It could be one of those, because I haven't seen them in shops anywhere.
Opening the door, I state, "I'm finished with the job!" The client, a young lady, turns the corner with a bag in her hands. "Ah, thank you once again! Here is your reward!" She sang, apparently very satisfied that her heirloom was saved. Can't blame her, those types of things are very important.
I take the bag and bid her goodbye, and summon Plue to accompany me on the short walk to the guild. "Plueeeee! I have new keys to add to my collection! Aren't you excited!" I smile, rubbing my face into his head. "Puuuuun Puuuuuuuun!" He trills.
When I open the doors, I laugh seeing the guild in another pointless dilemma. I skip over to the bar, and ask Mira for a strawberry smoothie. "What's got you all happy today?" She asks me, giving me my drink.
I pull the jewels from the bag and put them in my wallet, and pull the keys out and show Mira. "Wow, those don't look like your regular keys." She comments. She's right, one of the keys is a wild crimson red, the other a silver color, and the other white as clouds.
At first glance I thought that they weren't real keys and I was scammed, but I had heard tales of keys that were actually people that were sealed into keys. So that got my hopes up, wondering who was potentially trapped inside, and the fact that I could possibly set them free.
Looking at the first one, I read the inscription on the side. It said, "тнз gατε οf тнз Fiяе dяаgοη". Shrugging, I raised the key up and sliced it downwards, shouting, "OPEN, GATE OF THE FIRE DRAGON!" A bell chimed.
Suddenly there was a giant red dragon in the middle of the guild, crushing tables and draining my magic power quite a bit. "DAD!" I heard a shout from the other side of the guild, and saw Natsu jump right onto it's face.
Curious, I open the gates of the other two, shouting, "OPEN, GATES OF THE IRON AND SKY DRAGON!" A shiny silver-plated dragon and a pure white dragon with feathered wings appeared next to the red dragon, crushing more tables.
"GRANDINE-SAN!"
"POPS!"
Wendy jumped on the wing of the feathered dragon, and Gajeel hugged the neck of the metal plated one. With three gates open, I was starting to lean on a table heavily for support. Loke came out on his own and had my arm on his shoulder so I wouldn't face plant into the floor.
"Hime, you shouldn't push yourself this much. You can barely hold two gates open for a few minutes, let alone three gates of beings that are of this size." Loke said, concerned. I shook my head weakly.
I gestured to the dragon slayers and their foster parents. They were chatting happily with their family member that they haven't seen for so many years. I wanted to give them that for as long as I could, and it didn't matter if I fainted from exhaustion in the process.
"Please, close the gates. You're hurting yourself. I'm going back to the spirit world, everyone is worried about you. I hope I can tell them that you're okay when I get back." Loke said, and vanished into thin air.
Without the support of the lion spirit, I swayed for a few seconds, and collapsed in a heap at the floor. But I could still see, and still feel the guilt when the gates closed and the three dragons disappeared. The dragon slayers spun around in anger, fury, and confusion (each one had a different emotion. You can guess which one's which lol)
Natsu saw me lying on the floor, and immediately rushed to my side. Taking me into his lap and feeling my forehead, he whispered, "Was that you, Luce? Did you bring Igneel and the others back?" I smiled weakly and nodded.
He gained this look in his eye, full of admiration and thanks, but what surprised me the most and made me the happiest was that there was also love there. He kissed my forehead, then my cheeks, then my lips sweetly.
"Thank you for bringing my father back."
Should I make a part 2?
