Jerza: Pain
Welcome back minna!!
Third person (pretty much my) Pov
Erza Scarlet was no stranger to pain.
She has experienced more than her fair share in her life, and her life wasn't even close to being over.
Her earliest memory of experiencing pain was when she was very young, and she was thrown into the cell with her future friends. From that day on for a long time, she experienced physical pain every day.
Her first emotional experience of pain shot through her heart like an arrow, because she had fallen in love with Jellal and he told her to go away and never return to the Tower Of Heaven.
Even when her right eye was taken away, she still didn't feel as much pain as the day that her crush, the one who had been so kind and given her the name Scarlet, exiled her.
When she found Fairy Tail and her eye was replaced, she began to feel overwhelmed with loneliness. Her friends, Natsu and Gray and others, changed that. She felt the small hole in her heart from losing her friends start to close up.
Only for it to reopen a while after, seeing her old friends, the Tower Of Heaven, and Jellal. She fought against him, and only won because of her friend's help. She thought she would never forgive him, but it was quite the opposite.
She yearned for him, and he did the same. The next time she saw him, he had lost his memory and seemed so different from his attitude at the Tower Of Heaven. He tried to sacrifice himself to save her and Fairy Tail, but she was overcome with the sorrow of potentially losing him and stopping him while she shed tears.
When Team Natsu, Blue Pegasus, and Jellal had finally defeated the Oración Seis, the military showed up to arrest Jellal. Before they did, Jellal and Erza had a heartfelt conversation about living for their nakama.
Jellal complied with having to be arrested even though his good deeds overpowered his bad. Before he was locked away, he had a memory come back to him. He remembered and said that it was the color of her hair. Erza Scarlet.
When Fairy Tail got transported to Edolas, the same longing for Jellal filled Erza's mind whenever she saw his Edolas counterpart Mystogan. The pain from that longing was even worse than the pain from when she was fighting Knightwalker.
During the Tenrou trial she didn't feel much pain that compared to the longing she felt from being separated by Jellal for so long. Even through all her battles that she won, she was still weighed down by her inner pain.
Even though she saw him during the grand magic games, that longing still clawed at her insides. She protected him from Millianna without a second thought, and would have gladly given her life for him if the need arose (despite her logic of living for people instead of dying).
When Fairy Tail disbanded, they kept in touch, and he was pretty much the only thing keeping her from completely going insane. When it was reborn, she thanked him for being there for her through all that.
After that one day when they started seeing each other, pain was rare for her. He was kind of like a drug to her, minus all the bad side effects. His presence alone made everything easier, and he made her feel like she was in another world.
But she was certainly in another world experiencing pain like this. She'd never felt this hurt, it was like flames were licking up her body while someone was poking her with a white-hot poker. She had felt the former, but had never felt the latter.
Of course, she should've known this was going to happen when she got pregnant.
Oh, did I not tell you? Today was the day Erza's twins were going to be born. Yes, the twins Reiki and Rosemary. The nine month torture (for mostly Jellal, he had to deal with her) was finally going to yield two bundles of joy.
"Erza-san, you have to push on this next contraction."
Erza inhaled, sucking in as much air she could while proceeding to break Jellal's hand. It seemed as though he was in just as much pain as her, and if it continued like this, he would be in more pan.
When the next wave of pain hit her, she screamed while pushing,
"JELLAL I'M GOING TO KILL YOU YOU DID THIS TO ME--" Jellal cut her off with a kiss to her forehead, whispering, "I know Erza, I'm so sorry."
Then it stopped.
Time seemed to slow down to that exact moment where her daughter's cries pierced through the air and reached Erza's ears.
"Miss Fernandes, please take a minute before you start pushing again."
Breathing in and out, she muttered to herself, "Okay. I can do this."
Clenching her teeth and squeezing her eyes shut, she pushed again with every ounce of strength she had left.
"Congrats Erza-San! It's a boy!"
Together, with Rosemary and Reiki, and her husband Jellal, she had never felt so happy.
That pain was all worth it.
