"That's so sick!"

"Astra," I repeated following her as she led me out of the ship.

"Only rich people are here, they only took rich people Sol," She ranted on, cutting another corner and almost bumping into one of the metal beams before I gently moved her out of the way.

I used her shoulders to turn her around so we could now be facing each other, "Astra we're stuck on this planet."

"Most of earth is below sea-level Sol, so many people are dead," She sobbed, rubbing her hand over her face, "At least the rich people had places to go on earth what about everyone else, where did the people left behind go?"

"Astra this was our only way out," I looked for her eyes but she didn't even seem to be listening to what I was saying, "We're standing in the vehicle that was supposed to get us out of here Astra and there are holes all over it."

"I don't understand, they could've taken all of them," Tears continued to pour down her face, "Why didn't they take all of them?" I didn't have an answer for her so she continued to the repeat the question as if waiting for someone to give her a reply.

I stopped her, putting my hands on both sides of her face and holding her still, "Astra, Astra," I shook her slighty, "Astra breathe," I begged her, my thumb darting out to catch her tears, "Breathe, breathe."

Her hand went over mine, weaving our fingers "Sol, we need to help them," Her bottom lip wobbled, "How do I help them?"

"We need to help ourselves first."

'Sol? Sol wherever you guys are you need to brace yourselves'

I frowned looking down at my flashing communicator, "What?"

The building shook so violently and suddenly the golden lights were a dark orange. Astra and I were thrown against the ship structure and my hand grabbed one of the beams whilst my other hands wrapped around Astra's waist to keep us both stable and upright.

A few more crashes exploded from the left side of the dome and they were smaller but still had the ship we were on tilting and shaking which made me gulp. I pressed my communicator, "Tempest, Tempest! What's going on? what did you-

Another large crash sent both Astra and us off our feet and before I could blink we were being thrown out of the ship. I landed back first on one of the ships wings that was pointed downwards, crying out as my shoulder burned.

"Sol! Sol!"

My head snapped towards Astra who was sliding off of the side of the side of the flat metal. I dived for her, grabbing her hand before she could slide off and using my lower hand to keep my grip steady.

The orange flashing light above us was drowned in the dark emptiness beneath us, so much so that I could almost not see the bottom. "Sol, Sol," Astra pleaded, making my wrist ache as my shoulder struggled to pull her up.

"I know I know," I groaned, trying to use my other hands to look for something to hook my fingertips into for some grip, I found nothing.

"You're gonna let me fall," Her voice shook, "You have to drop me, I can't pull myself up."

"I can't drop you Astra, shut up!" I shouted, sweat running down my nose as I realised my hairtie had been broken during the scuffle. "Just hold onto me Astra, don't you fucking let go."

My fist tightened around her wrist, our handcuffs digging into my flesh as I tried to heave her up again. The sound of groaning metal had my head snapping back to look at the supports on the wing that were holding us up. The shiny silver was going white as the wing began to tilt us more and more downwards.

'Sol are you guys okay? Deimos is free, we got out but something else arrived, another ship, none like I've ever seen-

The air was sucked out of me when the part I was on suddenly gave way and in a split second Astra and I were plumetting to the ground. My lungs didn't even have a chance to scream before I hit the ground.

There was a sharp ringing sound in my ear that i couldn't set apart from the siren ringing above us. The ache in my shoulder was now tenfold and I didn't have to move it to know it was dislocated. Fingertips curled on my arm and I was being shook lightly.

"Sol, Sol are you okay?" I lifted a hand to my head to cradle the pounding in my head and cracked my neck slightly.

"I'll live," I croaked, getting up on my knees so I could stretch a bit more. "You goo-" The words died in my throat as I looked at her expecting to see the reflection of the orange on her face but instead I saw the shadow of something large.

Looking up my jaw dropped at the sight of the broken wing fastly approaching us. "Sol?"

I tackled her, pinning her beneath me so that the wing landed on me. We were pressed against eachother, cheek to cheek and our chests were sandwiched together. Bringing my arms to both side of her body I let out a deep breathe before lifting up the heavy metal body on my back.

I stumbled slightly as a sharp part of it dug into my dislocated arm but I held strong keeping the metal from crushing us beneath it. "This would be a lot easier without these handcuffs," I breathed jokingly, "I'm usually super strong." As if hearing me, the wing dug into my back a bit more. "Astra?"

As we were now in darkness her slight strange glow provided an advantage. Her eyes glistened with pure fear, "Hmm?"

"You're going to have to crawl."

"Sol my arm," She squeaked, "I took a really bad fall, I think-" She clenched her eyes together before opening them again, "It feels worse."

"It feel a lot better than dying okay?" I assured her, ignoring the feeling of warm sticky blood pooling beside me that I knew she could feel too. "You don't even have to do anything okay? Just shuffle back, I'll be right here following you but-" My muscles strained, making me a take a second to collect myself, "We have to move like right now."

Slowly but surely she began to slide from underneath me, moving upwards and ignoring her bleeding arm and defintely busted stitches. "You're doing great okay? Just keep going."

"Sol, it hurts," She sobbed but kept moving, "It's hurts so much."

"I know," I gritted my teeth, "But we have to keep moving okay? We're close, we're so close."

It felt like hours that were crawling in the darkness, only the sound of the noise above us and our forced breaths. I almost cried when I finally caught sight of the orange light once more. "I'll keep holding it up, come out from under me."

She nodded silently, not wanting to take up any extra energy. A sigh of relief left my body as she completely escaped from underneath me and was safe. "Okay now come out," Astra encouraged me.

A gulp thickened my throat before fighting it's way down. "Um," I hummed trying to think of a way to slide out without hurting myself. 'Astra I think I'm stuck," I looked up and locked eyes with her worried face.

"No you're not, I'm looking right at you," She cradled her injured hand in her lap and tried to reach for my hands, "Just get out."

"Astra I'm stuck."

"Okay let me just try," She tried putting herself back underneath the wing making me panic.

"No! Don't come back," I shouted.

This made her flinch away but her hand shook, "Sol I don't know what I should do," She admitted, "Please tell me what to do, please," She begged, "How do I help? How do I help you? What do you need me to do?"

"Astra, if I move again I will drop it."

She shook her head, "No you won't-

"I will-

"You won't!" She cut me off, "You'll be fine, just crawl a little forward, I'll try pull you out," Her hand reached for me again, "I'm right here, just move a little bit more you're almost there."

I looked down at my wrist, "My communicator is broken."

Her eyes never left my face, "Sunshine, please."

"You," My voice wobbled, "You need to find a way to contact Tempest okay? She's coming to get you," I instructed her.

"She'll come get both of us."

"Astra, I'm going to drop it," I warned her, my knees shaking.

"I promise you I will dive underneath this- Sol don't you dare!" She screamed, trying harder to reach for me, "Just try! Please try please just try!"

The last thing I saw was her desperate pale hand straining to touch me before the structure crumbled with me underneath it.
