"Please just do it,"Davey begs.

"No,"Cards replies firmly.

"Please?"Sarah begs. "It's only one night. It's just Les, Lucky and Tumbler. They love you guys,"she points out.

The two girls share a look then look back to the twins. "Fine just tell us why Skittery and you two can't look after them?"

"Skittery, Ace, Waves, Smokes and Charlie are having a "guys night". Katherine and I are going on a double date with Davey, Jack and Crutchie,"Sarah explains.

Cards mutters under her breath bitterly.

"What's she say?"Davey asks.

"She's bitter that she can't pass it onto Charlie to take care of them since he's better with kids,"Stage explains. "Now go get ready for your dates,"she says and shoos them out of their room. Cards sighs and flops onto the bottom bunk.

"Whyyyyyyyyyyyy,"she groans.

"Calm down. We'll go to see a movie with them and make dinner then send them to bed. It'll be easy,"Stage says.

She sighs. "Alright but it's gotta be U rating or Davey will give us the Mother Davey talk,"she replies.

"Come on, Mikey, just cover for me,"Cards begs. "I'm already babysitting Les, Lucky and Tumbler tonight. You know I hate little kids."

"Jamie these are your younger siblings be nice about them!" Jane, one Cards' older sisters, scolds.

"Shush it Janey!"

"Why can't anybody else do it?"Jamie whines.

"Charlie is going out with friends, I'm revising at a friend's house, Frank, Beck, Daniel, Lynette, Anna and Liberty don't live at home, Anna is at a friend's house and you are looking after Quinn, Scout, Milly-Rose, Lola and Thomas. Mum and Dad are taking care of Grandad and Nana Have fun,"Mikey replies and finishes tying his lace.

"Have fun little nerd,"he smiles sarcastically as Jane pushes past her younger sister.

"Enjoy,"Jane winks and opens the door for Stage. Cards groans and snaps at them both in Chinese.

"See ya later dork,"Charlie says and walks past Cards.

"What no! No no no,"Cards says and grabs Charlie's wrist. "You can not leave me here alone until Stage gets here!"

"Yes I can,"the older child replies.

"I-,"Cards starts.

"Bye bye,"he says and shuts the door behind him.

"Jamie!!"Scout yells from his shared bedroom. "I'm bored!"

"I'm gonna die today,"Cards mutters and walks up the stairs.

"Please Stage,"Elmer asks. "Just this one night. Eden and Eddie I don't trust to take care of them, Ethan has homework and Emmalyn is having girl time with Smalls,"he says.

"Fine but Les, Lucky and Tumbler are also going to be there so I can't promise it'll be great."

"Thank you so so much."

"How come you can't take care of them?"

Elmer blushes slightly. "Albert, Race, Spot and I have a date night at Central Park,"he mumbles quietly.

"Aww. That's so cute enjoy. Drop them around here at 6pm with whatever stuff they need,"Stage replies happily.

"Again. Thank you so much. How much do you and Cards want in return?"

"All we want is to hear about your date,"Stage smirks. Elmer sighs.

"Fine."

*time skip time*

Stage smiles as Elmer hands Ezra over to her. She takes him gently in her arms. Rocking him slightly so he doesn't wake up. Eleanor and Elijah race inside the room and start to climb about on Stage and Cards' bunk bed. Getting used to the new room.

"Okay. You have my number, Albert's number, Race's number and Spot's number. Here's a list of everyone's allergies, a list of what to do if one of them can't sleep, their pyjamas and their favourite games and DVDs,"Elmer says and hands her two sheets of papers and a small duffel bag that was well packed. Stage nods, trying to remember all the other things that he'd just told her.

"Okay. Got it,"Stage nods and Les, Lucky and Tumbler come running down the hallway shortly followed by Sarah and Davey.

"Hey Elmer,"Sarah greets.

"Hi,"Elmer waves.

"Wow this is going to be very crowded for babysitting,"Davey comments and checks his watch. "Come on Sarah. We've got to go or we'll be late and I hate being late."

The other three teens laugh and Sarah and Davey start to walk quickly down the hall. "Well bye then,"Elmer says.

"Bye!"Stage replies and turns to the children in the room. "Alright guys. We've got to go to Cards' house and then we'll be good to go to the movies,"she smiles. The children cheer and start to line up behind Stage.

Ring ring

Stage presses the doorbell a second time. After a few more minutes and a couple of yells from inside the house Thomas answers the door.

"Hey Tommy. Who's looking after you guys?"Stage asks, slightly confused on why he was there.

"Jamie,"the younger boy answers and looks behind Stage. "Why are they here?"he asks. Cards comes to the door, holding Scout in her arms and dragging Milly-Rose along, who was gripped like a Koala to her older sister's leg.

"Don't tell me this is what I think it is,"she says nervously. Stage nods anxiously.

"I'm sorry,"the younger girl says quickly.

"It's fine,"she replies. "It'll be interesting to see how this plays out."

Stage nods.

Out of the two teens Stage was much better with kids and actually liked their presence to nobody's surprise. Cards however despised younger children (newborns-9 year olds) but to many people's surprise was very good with them.

Cards runs a hand through her hair anxiously and lets the other's into her home. "Okay Les, Lucky, Tumbler, Milly-Rose, Thomas, Elijah, Scout, Eleanor, Ezra, Quinn and Lola,"she mutters to herself and counts the eleven children out on her fingers. "This won't end well,"she says out loud.

"We don't need to be babysat though!"Les whines.

"I'm ten!"Lucky reasons.

"So am I!"Les adds.

"And me!"Tumbler comments.

"Les and Lucky are almost 10. Tumbler is ten and only by a month,"Stage points out and sets Ezra down on the sofa.

"From all your whining you sound six years old and I had a babysitter till I was 11,"Cards replies. Stage gives her a look.

"Really?"Eleanor asks.

"Yeah. My old brothers. Charlie and Mikey. They were the worst babysitters ever,"Cards replies and puts Scout down on the sofa beside Ezra.

"Okay. To get to know each other we'll pick one person from each group to say everyone's names and ages,"Stage starts and sits down on the wooden floor beside Cards. "I'll start."

"I'm Stage. I'm here because I'm a babysitter and I'm 14. That's Jamie or Cards and she's here because like me their a babysitter. She's 15,"Stage introduces and points to Eleanor.

"I'm Elijah I'm 8, that's my sister Eleanor she's 6 that's Ezra he's 2,"the boy explains, pointing to each of his siblings as he says their names.

Cards points to Tumbler. "I'm Tumbler. I'm 10, that's Lucky and Les they're both 9."

Cards points to Lola. "I'm Lola, I'm 7. That's my stupid dumba-,"

Cards cuts her off. "Lola Mei-Funh MacKay not with Milly-Rose, Scout and Ezra around. Call your twin names in your own time."

"That's my stupid twins Thomas,"Cards gives a nod. "That's Quinn. She's 6, that's Milly-Rose she's 5 and Scout is 3."

"Right now that's sorted. What does everyone want to watch?" An assortment of yells come from the children and Ezra starts to cry. Stage winces slightly at the noise and starts to comfort Ezra.

"Okay okay. You know what let's just watch The Lion King,"Cards says, immediately noticing Stage's discomfort at the noise.

"Can we watch the second one?"Eleanor asks.

"If we have the DVD sure,"she sighs and stands up with Stage, who was still comforting Ezra.

"What are we making for dinner?"Stage asks.

"Spaghetti and meatballs,"Cards replies and starts to search through the draw of DVDs and BluRays. The pair stop their search once they hear a crash.

"I'll go check it out,"Stage says and hands Ezra over to a protesting Cards. Stage walks into the living room to find a vase on the floor and Milly-Rose crying and a bit of blood on the floor.

"What happened?"she asks. The children immediately start into yells. "One person at a time,"she says. Cutting them all off. "Tumbler what happened?"

"We we're playing with the ball and Elijah didn't catch it and it hit the vase. Milly-Rose stepped in some of the vase,"Tumbler explains quickly. Not wanting to get in trouble with Cards or Stage.

"Okay all of you on the sofa now and wipe your feet off with your hands then get rid of any bit of the glass,"the older girl instructs and the children quickly follow.

Stage walks to the kitchen, grabbing a dust pan and broom, cloth, a plaster and a new pot to put the flowers in. She starts to sweep up the glass and wipe up the water and blood. That's just one thing what else could go wrong she thinks to herself. It's me and Cards. We've got this like always.

She pulls the piece of the vase out of Milly-Rose's foot and puts it in with the others. Putting a plaster on it straight away. Cards walks back into the room with Ezra in her arms.

"Bad news. We don't have any Lion King DVDs,"she says. The children groan. "Good news though I found Libby's baby pictures to embarrass her with the next time she's home! Wait what happened?"

"They were playing with a ball, Elijah didn't catch it, they broke a vase, Milly-Rose stepped on a bit of the vase,"Stage explains. Cards nods and sets Ezra on the sofa beside Elijah. "Okay what does everyone want to do?"

"I want to do gymnastics!"Tumbler whines. The others start to nod in agreement. The two babysitters share a look.

"No!"they say in unison. The children start to protest and Ezra begins to cry.

"Okay okay okay!"Stage says quickly. The girls share a look and start to warm up and stretch. The pair go out to the garden.

Stage sighs and looks down the length of the garden. Starting to be thankful their garden was connected to a field. She stands to face the others, a little further back and does a back hand spring followed by a second and a twist in mid air.

(The joys of GIFs also I couldn't find two gymnastics ones from Newsies so Stage's is from genuine gymnastics competitions I feel like Stage would be better a gymnastics since she's smaller and Cards would be better at tap dancing because she's got hand-eye and foot-eye coordination some GIFS are a little slow though)

Cards glances at the kids nervously as they start to clap for Stage from the inside. She takes a breath and starts.

The pair stand beside each other and start their joint routine.

The children start to clap happily as Stage and Cards walk back inside.

"Can you teach us that?"Elijah asks excitedly.

"Some other time kid,"Cards replies and pats his head. Stage smiles at him.

"Of course but we don't have as much space here,"she clarifies as Cards starts to sets up Frozen 2.

"I'm going to start making dinner,"Cards says and walks to the kitchen.

*time skip*

Cards starts to head to the sink with the pot of pasta but goes on the pointes of her toes when Tumbler and Eleanor run past. "Out the kitchen. Back to Stage,"she instructs quickly. Eleanor and Tumbler run out but Tumbler hits Cards' legs. Knocking the girl over.

Cards drops the bowl of hot water, the water hitting her right forearm and hand. She screams in pain and presses her right arm against the hot stove to keep herself supported up with her left hand in the water to support the rest of her body. Using her limbs to support herself from hitting the cutlery she dragged onto the floor. Cards shifts her right arm so the bowl is flipped off of her arm. She shoos Tumbler and Eleanor away from the scene." Stage!"she yells. The younger girl runs in and immediately notices her best friend.

(A/N basically Cards is doing a plank with her right forearm and inside of her hand on a hot/being used stove and her left hand in boiling hot water with a bunch of knives and forks underneath her)

"Go to my bedroom. Under the bed is a medical kit. Bring that down for me now,"she instructs. Stage nods and runs upstairs. Carefully stepping over the water. The younger girl runs up to her best friend's bedroom and starts to look under the two bunk beds and pulls out a medical box and runs down the stairs. She comes down to find Cards cleaning up the cutlery and water.

"Tumbler, right now you're in charge. Get Thomas to help you put a movie on and it has got to be a U rated film. So something Disney. The Disney movies are in the draws below the TV,"Stage says. Tumbler nods nervously, keeping a careful eye on an angry Cards. The pair clean up the floor and sit down on the floor in between the two counters. Stage opens the medical kit and prepares two ice packs.

"Why do our adventures always end in injuries?"Cards laughs as she wraps the bandage around her right arm. The bandage reaching from her elbow to her hand.

"Doesn't that hurt?"Stage asks. Ignoring Cards' question/statement as she cleans up the remaining water.

"Oh like hell,"Cards replies. "I've done worse though."

"That's worrying."

"It's only a second degree burn. Remember when I broke my leg three years ago. It was broken in six places and a bit of my arm bone was sticking out my wrist from the way I broke it."

Stage shudders at the memory. "That was disturbing."

"Elmer threw up on my arm. That was gross."

"You're right,"Stage laughs. Eventually she walks out of the kitchen and back into the living room. She looks to the kids and smiles. Cards comes trailing out behind and smiles once she sees the kids. Elijah and Eleanor were curled up beside each other on one end of the sofa with Scout and Ezra in between them. Les Lucky and Tumbler were sat at the other end, their feet touching with Elijah's and Eleanor's. All of them under one blanket. Milly-Rose was awkwardly tucked in between Les and Lucky with Thomas and Lola on the floor with a blanket above and beneath them and Quinn curled up like a cat on the floor at the end of Thomas and Lola's feet.

"I knew my siblings slept weirdly, it's a family trait but I had no idea Quinn slept like a cat,"Cards mutters and quickly takes a picture, sending it to the Newsies group chat.

It isn't even half way through the second film when Mikey, Charlie and Jane come home. Cards and Stage stand up. "Jane, Mikey, you're babysitting now. Charlie, Stage and I are going to hospital,"Cards says and stands up from her spot on the floor beside Stage.

Stage stands up beside Cards and skips past Cards' confused siblings.

"What'd Jamie do?"Mikey asks.

"Burnt her forearm, and both fingers and palms,"Stage replies and pulls her trainers on.

Jane facepalms. "Of course she did,"she mutters at her younger sibling's stupidity.

Cards pulls her hands out of her pockets and presents them to her siblings. "Probably a second degree burn so we're going to hospital because it still hurts like hell now let's go,"she says and sits in the back beside Stage as Charlie gets into the driver's seat and starts driving to the hospital. Playing the radio quietly. After half an hour of silence he looks into the mirror and smiles when he sees Stage and Cards asleep in the back with an earphone in each most likely listening to a song from a musical.

*BONUS*

Elmer and Davey knock of the door to Stage and Cards' room only to find an annoyed Cards' answering it.

"Stage said the payment was to hear about our dates so we're here to pay,"Elmer explains.

Cards looks over her shoulder and gives Stage a look. "Ten dollars from both of you. Now. We take it back,"she says and leans against the doorframe with her arms folded. Stage stands up to join Cards and leans against the door with her arms folded.

"You can't just change it like that!"Davey says, slightly shocked. The girls give each other another look. Cards unravels her bandages to show her burns.

"These second degree burns and a trip to the hospital at 10pm say otherwise,"Stage smirks and the two boys hand over the money.

"On behalf of my siblings I apologise,"Davey says and runs off to the bathroom with his hand over his mouth. The trio laugh.

"Painful but so worth it,"Cards mutters with a small smile.

"Well I better get going,"Elmer chuckles.

"See ya,"Cards replies and sits back on their bunk bed.

"Little tip for you Elmer,"Stage says. Elmer turns back around at the call of his name. "Elijah, Eleanor and Ezra all liked Frozen,"she says. Elmer nods and walks away, Stage closing the door behind him. Elmer hadn't even gotten down the end of the hall before he starts laughing at their yelling.

"Sage Amelia Owens I swear to all things sacred to cheese I'm fine!"

"Jamie-Joey Parker MacKay wait whats  your Chinese name?" Before they both start laughing.
