Laksh: and?

Ragini clutches him more tightly. Laksh feels it.

Ragini (stammering and sobbing): a... and... you... you... were ly... lying in a po... pool... of blood...

She hides her face in him more. Laksh sighs.

Laksh: nothing is going to happen. It was just a bad dream. Look I'm fine.

He says to make her normal.

Ragini: no... I'm scared... What if anything happ... happened to y...

She was unable to say it.

Laksh: relax na yaar. It was not true. It was only a nightmare. Now, forget about it. Wipe your tears and sleep.

He brings her out of the hug and made her lay on the bed. Her body was still shaking with fear.

Laksh turns off the light and lays down. Ragini moves towards him and hugs him again. He was about to say something...

Ragini: please

Laksh: hmm.... ok

Both were trying hard to sleep but an unknown fear was not letting them sleep.

Next day:

Laksh wakes up first and looks at Ragini who was clutching him like a kitten whose life depends only upon him.

He gets out of her hold and leaves for washroom.

Ragini opens her eyes a few seconds later and was shocked not finding him in the room.

Ragini: Laksh...

Laksh (shouts): washroom...

Ragini takes a breath of relief.

She get's up from the bed and goes towards the cupboard to take out her clothes. Then only Laksh comes out of the washroom.

Ragini: good morning

Laksh: good morning

Ragini leaves for the washroom.

All were having breakfast but Ragini's mind was on the nightmare only.

Ryan: what happened bhabhi? You seem tensed.

Laksh looks at her too while Ragini shakes her head.

Ragini: nothing, I'm fine.

Arjun: are you sure?

Ragini nods and leaves for the kitchen. When she comes back Laksh was not there.

Ragini: where's your bhai?

Sanskar: he went to his room.

Ragini nods.

Afternoon:

All were in their rooms.

Sanskar was working.

Ryan was studying.

Arjun was busy with his phone 😂.

Ragini completes her works and leaves for her room and was shocked finding Laksh in his formals all ready to leave.

Ragini: where are you going?

Laksh: a client just called and said that he's leaving the city tonight and I have many important things to discuss with him. So, I'm going to meet him only.

Ragini's heart started racing. The nightmare, Laksh's talks and that pandit's words, all started ringing in her mind at the same time.

Ragini: but today is Sunday.

Laksh: I know but I need to go.

Ragini: you'll not go anywhere.

She declared.

Laksh looks at her confused.

Laksh: why?

Ragini: because I'm saying.

She snatches his laptop from him.

Laksh (angrily): what the hell are you doing?

Ragini: I'm saying you'll not go that means you'll not go and that's final. No more discussions.

Laksh: and who are you to declare anything?

Ragini: I'm your wife.

Laksh: that doesn't mean you can do anything you want.

Ragini: I don't know about anything else. You'll not leave the house.

Laksh (controlling his anger): it's very important.

Ragini: I don't care.

Laksh (shouts): are you insane? When I'm saying it's important to go then why the hell are you behaving like this? Just let me go.

Ragini looks at him with rage.

Ragini (shouts back): why are you not understanding it? When I'm not letting you go then there must be any reason for it.

Laksh (shouts): don't increase my anger. Just give me my laptop back.

Ragini shakes her head.

Ragini: no, I'll not.

Trio brothers comes there hearing their shouts.

Sanskar: what's wrong?

Laksh (sternly): ask your dear bhabhi only.

Ragini: you'll not go. That's it!!

Saying this she keeps his laptop in the cupboard.

Laksh goes towards her snatches it from her.

Ryan: bhayu bhabhi what is going on?

Laksh (angrily): I have an important meeting and she's not letting me go.

Arjun: bhabhi, why are you not letting him go?

Ragini: I'm not feeling good today. I don't want him to go anywhere.

The brothers looks at her confused and Laksh understands why she's doing like this.

Ryan: bhayu please stay if she's saying.

Laksh: you three wait outside. I want to talk to her.

The brothers nods understandingly and leaves the room.

Laksh looks at her and Ragini's eyes started tearing.

Ragini: please...

Laksh comes closer to her and holds her right cheek.

Laksh (calmly): I'll be fine. You're worrying for no reason. It was just a bad dream. We can't stop living just because of a nightmare.

Ragini shakes her head.

Ragini: it's not only because of the nightmare but many other things as well.

Laksh: I don't believe in all this.

Ragini: but I do.

Laksh: it's very important otherwise I would have cancelled it.

Ragini: but not more important than you.

Laksh sighs.

Laksh: you're not understanding. We have to face a huge loss if this deal got cancelled.

Ragini: you are not understanding. Please don't go.

Laksh takes a deep breath and steps back.

Laksh: I have to go.

Ragini: ok, then I'll come with you too.

Laksh (strictly): no!!

He takes the laptop and starts leaving.

Ragini holds his hand. Laksh turns.

Laksh: I'll be back soon.

Ragini (innocently): promise

Laksh smiles a little.

Laksh: promise

He frees his hand from her and leaves the room.

Ragini runs after him.

He sees his brothers and smiles at them. They looks at him confused.

Laksh: take care

He leaves the house.

Ragini was looking at him going with teary eyes and his brothers too looks at him leaving.

Sanskar: bhabhi, what's wrong?

Ragini wipes her tears.

Ragini: I'll tell you everything.

Trio brothers nods confused.

Hall:

All were sitting and Ragini tells them everything. Starting from the meeting with the pandit in the temple, his warning, Laksh's weird talks and lastly her nightmare.

She hides her face in between her palms after telling them.

The brothers were shocked listening to all this. Fear occupied their hearts as well.

Ragini: I'm not feeling good. Something wrong is going to happen.

Sha says with glassy eyes.

Arjun: even I'm scared now.

Sanskar and Ryan: we too...

Ragini: let's go after him. I can't sit here.

She says standing up.

The brothers looks at her for a few seconds. They nods and stands up. All four of them leaves the house.

Sanskar was driving and Ryan was sitting beside him. Ragini and Arjun were sitting at the back seat.

Ragini was looking outside the window. She was continuously assuring her heart that he'll be fine.

Arjun keeps his hand on her shoulder. She looks at him.

Arjun: don't worry bhabhi. He'll be fine. Nothing wrong will happen.

Ragini nods to him.

Suddenly she felt like someone took away her life from her. Her heart stopped beating for a few seconds. She goes numb for a moment.

Ragini (screams): noooooooo..... nooo....... this can't happen.....

The brothers looks at her worried. Sanskar stops the car.

Trio: what happened bhabhi?

Ragini starts crying badly.

Ragini: something has happened to him. He's not fine. I can feel it.

The brothers were shocked listening it.

Ryan: no bhabhi he'll be fine.

Trio started assuring her and themselves as well.

Ragini (crying): Sanskar start the car fast.

Sanskar nods and starts the car.

They were moving when they saw a crowd of people standing in the middle of the road.

Ragini (shouts): stop the car.

Sanskar immediately stops it.

Ragini comes out of the car and runs towards the crowd followed by the brothers. She was pushing everyone aside and was trying to get in. Finally, she succeeded and looked at the scene in front of her.

Her legs got freezed. Her breath stopped. Her heart stopped beating. Her eyes started flowing. She falls on her knees feeling lack of strength to hold herself.

The brothers too comes there and were shocked at the scenario.

Trio: bhaiii...

They shouts at the top of their lungs. Tears made their way from their eyes too.

It was a truck which got hit with Laksh's car. There was a wall at the other side and Laksh's car was nearly crushed between the two. It was damaged fully.

Laksh was still in the car. His head was bleeding badly. Glass pieces were all over his body. He was unconscious.

The brothers runs towards the car and takes him out of it with much difficulty.

Ryan (crying badly): bhayu, open your eyes.

Arjun was patting his cheek.

Arjun: bhai please open your eyes na.

A man: I think he's no more.

The brothers looks at him with rage filled eyes.

The man gulps.

Sanskar composes himself.

Sanskar: let's go to hospital.

The other two nods and takes Laksh towards their car and makes him lay at the back seat.

Ryan: where's bhabhi?

They looks around and finds her sitting on her knees emotionlessly.

Arjun runs towards her.

Arjun: bhabhi let's go.

But got no response from her.

Arjun: bhabhii...

He shakes her. Ragini jerks.

Ragini (crying): Laksh...

Arjun (determined): nothing will happen to him. Let's go.

He makes her stand and leaves towards the car.

Ragini sits at the back seat. She keeps Laksh's bleeding head in her lap with shaking hands and keeps her dupatta on his head to stop bleeding.

Arjun: you guys go ahead I'm coming in a taxi.

Sanskar nods and starts the car with shaking hands. Tears were not stopping from their eyes even for a second.

Ragini was all the time looking at Laksh.

Ragini: Laksh, look at me. Open your eyes. Please Laksh please...

She says with a trembling voice.

But he was not showing a single movement.

Soon they reaches hospital.

Ryan and Sanskar takes Laksh out of the car and lays him down on the stretcher. Arjun too comes there.

The ward boys were pulling the stretcher inside.

Ragini and Sanskar were at his one side while Ryan and Arjun at the other. Ragini and Ryan were holding his both hands.

Just then Laksh halfly opens his eyes with difficulty.

All four smiles a little in between their tears.

All four: Laksh/bhai

Laksh looks at them painfully.

His brothers whom he love more than anything in the world were looking at him crying. They were scared for him, for his well being. Their clothes were all red with blood. He was scared if he'll be able to see them again or not. Who'll take care of them? Who'll protect them from the odds of the world?

He then looks at her, his wife.

He looks at her hand which was clutching her mangalsutra tightly. He smiles painfully. His heart pained seeing her like that. Her sindoor, mangalsutra, her colourful clothes, her chuda, everything was killing him.

Isn't it the worst feeling that you have married a girl a few weeks ago and now you're on the death bed? You don't even know whether you'll come back or not? The thought that you have spoiled her life by marrying her. Not even a month has completed to your marriage. And the thought that you gave her nothing till now and she gave you everything of her. She left her house, her sisters for you. She accepted your family wholeheartedly. She accepted you without any complaints. She gave you all her life but you gave her what? Nothing, except tension from the very first day of your marriage. And a pain which may remain with her all her life now.

All these things were making him guilty.

It is said that you don't realize the importance of anything when you are having it but you realize it's value when you're going to lose it or going to leave it behind you, forever. When you feel that you are alive just for a small time then everything you've missed and done comes in front of your eyes.

That was all happening with Laksh.

He tightens his grip on her hand.

Ragini was all the time looking at him only.

Laksh: I... I'm...

Ragini: don't give pressure to yourself. It's ok. We'll talk later.

Laksh shakes his head a little. He closes his eyes and opens them again, gaining energy to speak.

Laksh: I.. I'm.. so... soo.. sorry....

He says with extreme difficulty and everything goes black for him.

Ragini was shocked with it. She was too numb to react. Her mind has only one question "why he said like that?".

Laksh was taken to the OT and his hands leaves both of Ragini and Ryan's hands.

The brothers were scared of losing him, their everything.

Ragini was standing there with no emotions in her eyes and the fear of losing him in her heart.

So, how was that?
I know this one was very emotional but it's the requirement of the story.

Next: some fb moments. All are crying and Laksh is fighting for his life.
