Jungkook is stuck. Nothing is going as he planned. He has seen this opportunity, of joining BigHit as a trainee, as a barrier to bond with his hyungs. And didn't think more about the consequences and the hurdles that will come his way. He thought, he'll join the company, mingle with his hyungs, get on their good side, after 3 months tell them the truth and they'll be happy ever after.

Oh boy!! He didn't know he was so wrong!!

As he was bought up in US, he forgot how strict the conditions are in South Korea, to become an idol. They have to practice regularly, maintain a strict diet, no scandals, no relationships, little or no personal life, living in company dorms, attend fan meetings, receive hate for some or other reason, even for not doing anything, you cannot publicly show your emotions, always act happy and stress, depression and what not. And even by following all these instructions, no one can guarantee your success in K-Pop industry.

This is not what bothers Jungkook. He really has no interest on becoming an idol. By joining here as trainee, all his time will be spent doing vocal or dance practices and when will he get to spend time with his hyungs? How will he be able to make them love him again? Just for subtle glances from his hyungs now and then, he will gain nothing from it.

And the contract is for one and half year. A whole fucking one and half year!!!! And he has just 3 months. The current plan is dead-end. There's no turning back after entering it. He needs another plan. And his mind cannot of think of any other.

Jungkook and his friends are currently in the BigHit's cafeteria in the 15th floor. And Jungkook is going on reading the agreement, which was given to him by one of the managers. While the others are enjoying their drinks.

Bambam : Kookie. How many times will you read the agreement?

Jungkook : Ahh!! There are so many conditions here! I didn't know I have to sacrifice my whole life to become an idol.

Mingyu : Of course you didn't. There is so much cultural difference between US and South Korea.

Jungkook : I should've searched the internet earlier. Why must they keep the contract for one and a half year? Even in that whole 18 months, I need to act according to them?

Mingyu : That's how it is in Korea. But things have changed. They used to the contract for 2-3 years. And for a trainee to excel in vocal's, rap or dancing, they need to train for at least 14 hours a day.

Bambam : 14 hours?! Damn Kook, you will be exhausted if you join here.

Jungkook : (Pouting) But I want to.

Yugyeom : I don't understand why are you so adamant on joining BigHit. At first, you were not even interested to come here.

Yugyeom was getting more and more suspicious of Jungkook's behaviour. Never even once, Jungkook showed any interest in music nor dancing. He used to perform at school fests because the teachers encouraged him to do so, as he got great voice, and he used to complain that he was better off as an audience. Now he wanted to become an idol? And the conditions mentioned in the agreement didn't go well with Yugyeom too. If Jungkook join here as a trainee, not only he'll get deprived of his private life even his health may get deteriorated. Yugyeom will not let that happen and he'll not make Jungkook sign the agreement, with that absurd conditions.

Yugyeom : And I still can't fathom how your parents said yes to this matter. Your health condition is not so good, and even if you regularly take your medicines, your body won't be able to take it. You know how hard the choreographies are?

Jungkook : Then I'll just sign for vocal training.

Mingyu : That's not up to you, Jungkook. Only after the training period is finished, based on your performance, they'll give you the roles.

Yugyeom : Jungkook. You have time. Think again. You really want to become an idol?

No. Jungkook don't know what he want to do in the future. The main thing that mattered to him right now, are his hyungs. And this is the only way to them.

Jungkook : I really do. I know my body can't handle stress, but I like to sing, there's no issue if I can't perform, right Mingyu? I can do vocals and others can go with dance.

Mingyu : Jungkook, any company wants their idols to be an all rounder. Even if some aren't good dancers, they need to dance, they need to practice with their team members, because if they can't they'll be letting their whole group down.

Bambam : Then what about asking them to change the training period? Suppose, if Kookie learns faster than others, he doesn't need to do training for an year.

Mingyu : That's not how it works. Maybe, other companies does that but BigHit doesn't. BigHit is very strict, regarding in terms with idols performances. The main reason they're at the top, is they do not compromise with the performance quality. Even how good you are, you need to be a trainee under them for specified time.

Yugyeom : Jungkook. You want to become an idol, right? Then what's your problem with the contract? I too am against some conditions but if we tell them about your health issue they might reduce your training time per day. It's a win-win situation.

Jungkook : NO! I can't tell about my health condition. I don't want anyone to look at me differently or even worse pity me.

Yugyeom : Now you're acting stubborn Jungkook. I think you lack clarity of what you're doing, and just want to try this out for fun. You're not serious about this.

Yugyeom is right. He's not serious about this. Many people dream to be part of this company, but not him. If people thinks he lacks clarity of his future, then let them. He doesn't care. He cannot say the truth to everyone. Not his friends. At least for now.

Jungkook : I think you're right. You know I like to try different things and I didn't even once think I'll be interested in music, but now I am. And I really want to give it a try. What is so strange about that?

Yugyeom didn't find words to get back at Jungkook, because he knows Jungkook's obsession for trying out new things. But he still feels something is wrong, like he is hiding something from them.

Jungkook : Why is it so hard?!? Is there no other way?

??? : Uh, Hello, Jungkook-ssi. Yugyeom-ssi.

Jungkook looked at the owner of the voice. It was Jisoo.

Jungkook : Oh, Hi, Jisoo-ssi.

Yugyeom : Hello.

Jisoo : It's nice to see you again. After that lift incident we didn't get to meet again. Are you okay?

Jungkook : Yeah, I'm completely fine. Thanks for asking.

Jisoo looked at the agreement papers on the table.

Jisoo : So, you've passed the audition? Congrats. You didn't sign them, till now? The manager, who's in charge of recruiting trainees, will leave by 4 to handover the agreement copies to the head office. You need to hurry up, Jungkook-ssi.

Jungkook : Ahh..About that...Oh...Can you help me with something, Jisoo-ssi?

Jisoo : Me? What can I do for you?

Jungkook : Ah...First have a seat, please.

Jungkook and his friends scooped a little closer to give Jisoo some place on the couch. they were seated on a circular couch. Bambam nudged Yugyeom asking who Jisoo was.

Jungkook : Oh...Jisoo-ssi, These are my friends, you already met Yugyeom. And they are Bambam and Mingyu. Guys, this Jisoo-ssi, we met when we're here last time. She's a manager under BigHit and Jackson Wang's secretary.

Jisoo and others slightly bowed to one another, as a sign of respect.

Jisoo : So, why do you want to talk to me?

Jungkook told all the doubts he had from the starting. Excluding the health condition of his.

Jungkook : I really don't understand what I need to do now....

Jisoo : Jungkook-ssi, sorry If what I'm saying is hurting you. But, I think you don't have clarity on what you want to do. Everyone around your age wants to do so many things, even I used to think like that. You may or may not be good at everything you do. And I think you want to use this opportunity to see whether you want to make a career in this field or not. Most importantly, you don't want to waste your time on this.

Jungkook didn't know what he's trying to convey will end up like this. But anyone who hears Jungkook will say that he lacks clarity on what he want to do.

Jungkook : I...I think so too. But don't you really think, the contract and conditions are too much?

Jisoo : I know. But you need to loose in order to gain something.

Jungkook : Can't you think of any idea, Jisoo-ssi?

Jisoo : Hmm..Let's see, the main problem is you want to become an idol, and don't want to do hardcore practice sessions. But you're willing to train for vocals, and dance drains you out. Overall, you like to sing, no dancing and stuff, and main thing you want to do all these, only from BigHit?

Jungkook : Yes.

Jisoo : I'm afraid it's very difficult.

Yugyeom : Told ya.

Jisoo : But... If you really want to try, how about The Shining Star show?

Jungkook : The Shining Star?

Jisoo : Yeah. Our company in collaboration with Star Entertainments is doing a reality show, more like a singing competition, where they'll select some candidates to compete with one another. But they have to compose and perform their own songs. I still don't about the further details.

Yugyeom : How is it going to help Jungkook?

Jisoo : I think by performing in this competition, Jungkook-ssi will have complete clarity on what he wants to do, whether he wins it or not.

Jungkook : So.... Who will be taking care of all this?

Jisoo : Since, it will be first collaboration, mostly the CEO's will handle it. But training is done by Jimin-ssi. He himself will select the candidates and train them in vocals.

Jungkook : I'm ready do it. Where can I apply?

Jisoo : (Laughing) The process has not yet started. And the trainees from the two companies are not allowed to participate.

Jungkook : It's fine as I didn't sign the agreement.

Jisoo : As you've already auditioned for the company, it's better to meet Jimin-ssi once and tell him about the doubts you have. I guess, he'll let you in the show.

Jungkook : Guess? You're not sure?

Jisoo : There will be a lot of complications. You'll know when you meet him.

Jungkook : You're a saviour, Jisoo-ssi.

Jisoo : It's nothing. And I see myself in you, I too was kinda stuck and had doubts when I was your age. You need to someone to guide you. I'm happy to help you. And call me Noona, Jungkook.

Jungkook : OK. Thank you, Jisoo noona. So, where can I find Jimin-ssi? I need to talk to him right now.

Jisoo : Come then I'll show you the way to his cabin.

Yugyeom : Don't you think you're hurrying things up?

Jungkook : Why you need to wait, when you get things done right now? I'm going. Let's go Jisoo noona.

Yugyeom : Jungkook...wait..

Jungkook didn't listen to him and went with Jisoo. Yugyeom cannot do anything, just to look at Jungkook's disappearing figure.

Yugyeom : Guys!! Don't you find it strange?

Mingyu : About what?

Yugyeom : About Jungkook being suddenly interested in music.

Bambam : I don't think so. He always tries new things. We know him.

Yugyeom : But, he....I feel like he's lying to us. He's been different since he came back from his parents. He's been searching about the Kim's since last night. And have seen his face lighting up, when Jisoo-ssi mentioned something about Jimin-ssi.

Bambam : You're seeing more dramas since we shifted to Korea. You're just exaggerating.

Mingyu : Yeah. May be Jungkook wants to learn more about the company he's going to join, which includes Kim brothers.

Yugyeom : But I don't feel like it.

Bambam : You're just delusional. I'm hungry, let's order something.

Mingyu : Me too. You want something?

Yugyeom : (Pouting) No. I'm fine with being delusional.

Bambam : Ok!! One shrimp fried rice for you, then.

Yugyeom : What! You know I hate shrimps!! I'll go order by myself.

Bambam and Mingyu laughed seeing Yugyeom .

Jisoo : I'll leave you here, Jungkook. There'll be Nancy, Jimin-ssi's secretary. She'll let you in.

Jisoo led Jungkook to the floor where Jimin's cabin is located.

Jungkook : Thank you, Jisoo noona.

Jisoo went off, leaving Jungkook not before showing Jungkook the direction to the cabin. The cabin room is at the corner of the floor with the secretary desk's beside it, with no other staff rooms or staff on the floor, except for a studio.

Jungkook stood at the door, he didn't find Jimin's secretary at the desk so he decided to wait. There are no people at the cabin except him.

After ten minutes, he heard some sounds coming from the room. He can hear the sounds of something breaking, glass, may be. And he heard the voice of a woman.

He decided to see who's in the room so he opened the door.
