Jungkook : What if I don't tell them who I really am?

Gyu-Young : What do you mean baby?

Jung-hyun : If you're cooking some plan in that head of yours, drop it down.

Jungkook : Appa...Just hear me out. I'll try to approach them without telling them I'm their brother. I have already met four of them, and Hoseok-ss....no..Hoseok-hyung has already helped me so much. It'll be easy for me to mingle with them.

Jung-hyun : I don't think it's a good idea, Jungkook.

Jungkook : Trust me. It's going to work.

Gyu-Young : Lying to them is not an option dear.

Jungkook : Now if i go and say, I'm their brother, they're not going to accept me. I'll try to melt their hearts. You said that they used to love me a lot before I was born, maybe the love is still there. And they need someone to bring that out. I'll be that someone for them. It's not like I'll lie to them forever, when the right time comes, I'll tell them the truth.

Gyu-Young : What if....

Jungkook : No what if's. I'm sure of it. I'm make my hyungs love me again.

Jung-hyun : (Sigh) And how exactly are you going to do this?

Jungkook : I..I have no plan at present. But, I'm planning on joining BigHit as a trainee. They've sent me a message saying, I've passed the audition.

Jung-hyun : Huh? You said you didn't want to become an idol.

Jungkook : That's before. By joining BigHit, I think I can get closer to my hyungs.

Gyu-Young : Jungkook...Think again. Don't you think it's risky. We cannot let you do that.

Jungkook : Eomma. Appa. It's my only option to get close to them. I'll assure you that nothing bad will happen. Please. Let me give it a try.

Gyu-Young and Jung-hyun were not convinced with Jungkook's idea. If something happened, not only Jungkook, but they too will be affected by it.

Jungkook : Please......

Jung-hyun : Even after this, what will you do if they don't accept you?

Jungkook : Appa. Please. Even if they don't accept me, I'll be happy that I got to spend some time with my hyungs.

Jung-hyun : (Sigh) 3 months. We'll give you 3 months to do whatever you're planning on doing.

Jungkook : Really? Thank you, Appa. (Hugged his father)

Jung-hyun : (Breaking the hug) But...After 3 months, as you said, even if you get a slightest feeling that they're not going to let you as a brother in their lives, you'll distance yourself from them, and you'll not tell them who you are, ok?

Jungkook : Huh? But Appa...

Jung-hyun : I know what you're going to say. Even after 3 months, after you tell them the truth, if they're not ready to accept you, the relation you had build up with them will also be at stake. It's better to back away from them as a stranger or as a good friend, than to break up on bad terms. I don't want you or them to get hurt. We love them as much as we love you. So, promise me.

Jungkook : I promise. And...Can I tell them if I feel like they'll accept me?

Jung-hyun : You can. And we'll be there with you, that time.

Jungkook : They're going to accept me. Wait and see.

Gyu-Young : We'll be more happy if that happens, baby.

Jungkook hugged his parents.

Gyu-Young : I was afraid that you'll hate your brothers, if you know the truth. I didn't expect my baby to be mature at such young age.

Jungkook : (Winking) That's because, you raised me well.

Gyu-Young : Such a smooth talker. Now, go and get some sleep.

Jungkook : Ok. Good night.

Jungkook kissed both of them on their cheeks before going to to the bedroom.

Gyu-Young : Yeobo, do you think this is going to work?

Jung-hyun : I don't know. I believe, Jungkook is the one who can melt their hearts.

Gyu-Young : Yeah. But why did you gave him a time limit? And that too only 3 months?

Jung-hyun : If I don't, then Jungkook will get more attached to them. Even after knowing the truth, if they didn't accept him, then Jungkook will be devastated. It's better to cut the bond before it strengthens, so no one will get hurt. The main reason to accept his proposal was a benefit of doubt that he will make his brothers love him, which we are unable to do.

Gyu-Young: I really hope this works.

Jung-hyun : Me too. And you know what the strange thing is? They helped him, not knowing he's their brother. Maybe the universe is also conspiring to bring them together.

Gyu-Young : And they are too blind to accept the fact.

With the Kims..

The six Kim brothers were silently having their dinner. Yoongi and Namjoon gave the gifts Gyu-Young gave them but they didn't say anything about the matter they discussed with their Aunt and Uncle. Yoongi and Namjoon both were in a foul mood after that, others saw it but decided to not to talk.

Jin : Yoongi, How are Aunt and Uncle?

Yoongi : Huh? They're good, hyung.

Jin : So, did they say anything? They told they had something to discuss.

Yoongi : Nothing much, hyung. We just talked about some things.

Hobi : Are you sure? You two are in a bad mood since you came back.

Yoongi : (Annoyed) We are fine, Hoba.

Jin : What is it? You cannot lie to us. Tell me, Joon.

Namjoon : (Sigh) They called us there to discuss about him.

All of there faces changed upon mentioning him.

Jimin : What do they want to talk about him, hyung?

Yoongi : They want us to reconsider our decision about him.

Taehyung : What is there to even consider about someone who doesn't even exists in our lives?

Namjoon : That's what we said. And they didn't force us anymore.

Hobi : Why did they want to discuss this matter after so many years?

Yoongi : They thought, we became mature enough to analyze the situation better, and maybe accept him as one of us.

Taehyung : (Got up from his seat) Why can't they understand he's dead for us?

Jin : (Stern) Tae, sit down and complete your meal. We'll stop discussing the matter here.

Nobody dares to go against Jin in the house, and they silently finished their dinner with not talking much. But Yoongi had other plans, he thought of discussing the matter with his hyung after dinner. So, here he is, infront of his hyungs room, ready to knock the door.

Yoongi : (Knocking) Hyung? You there?

Jin : Yoongi? Come in. What happened?

Yoongi : I want to talk to you.

Jin : Is it about that matter? We discussed it a while ago.

Yoongi : You didn't utter a single word about the matter. So I thought.....

Jin : You thought?

Yoongi : I thought...maybe you're having second thoughts about him.

Jin : It's not like that. I was thinking about why they bought this matter after 18 years. And you're really foolish if you think, I'll be ready to accept him with open hands.

Yoongi : Sorry, hyung. I was just frustrated.

Jin : (Hugs Yoongi) I understand. Don't think about it. I have only five brothers, and it will remain same, till I die.

Yoongi : Hmm. Ok. You too don't think about it.

Jin : I won't. Now, go and sleep. Good night.

Yoongi : Good night, hyung.

Jin told Yoongi that he won't think about that matter, but that's the only thing running on his head continuously, hindering his sleep. He was thinking about his brothers, their reaction upon mentioning him. Even though, he's not there in their lives, he still has the effect on them. Jin seriously cannot risk his brothers happiness by letting him into their lives. And he'll do anything, in his efforts, to keep him away from his family, his brothers. So, he decided to have a talk with his Aunt and Uncle, privately whenever he visits New York.

The Next day.....

Jungkook : Eomma....Hurry up, or else you'll miss the flight.

Jung-hyun : Seriously, how much time will your Eomma take to ready?

Jungkook : She was ready before you. She's in the kitchen. Don't know what's taking her so long.

Jung-hyun : Maybe she again went to change her dress. You know what, two weeks ago, your Eomma took two hours to get ready for Mr. Jonathan's party. And I was glad that day, that we'll not be late for a party, at least once. But she stopped the car in the middle, saying she forgot the gift we brought for them. She was immersed in getting ready that she forgot it and we had to back to our house to pick the gift up, and if not for us standing at their door step, they would have wrapped up the party.

Jungkook couldn't stop laughing on hearing his Appa complaint about his Eomma. It's not something new for him, they usually squabble with one another, and patch up immediately, like in an hour or two. They cannot stop talking with each other, even for a day. As far as Jungkook can remember, the major argument they had, was when he was 15, his teacher turned out to be his Appa's first crush. She was his senior. When his Eomma got to know about this, she was jealous but didn't said anything. They were good for sometime, until his Eomma got to know that his Appa stood her up for their date because of his senior. At that time he told her that his pet dog passed away, so he was not able to make it. Because of this incident, they didn't talk for a whole week. And Jungkook was the one who used to write sorry letters in their name and used to keep them in their bag or working desks. They too know about it, but decided to keep quiet, because they found it really cute. Obviously, they didn't want to disappoint the kid.

Jung-hyun : And Mr. Thomas made fun of us for coming late. Again. But what can I say to them , that my wife takes too much time to get ready?

Gyu-Young : No, we always get late because you don't help me in the kitchen. And don't blame me. You also take time in finding the right suit for the party.

Gyu-Young came from the kitchen carrying some boxes in her hands and kept them on the couch.

Jung-hyun : I may take time but not more than you.

Gyu-Young : Let me refresh your memory then. Mrs. Perry party, last year, Kookie and me were ready on time and you took around an hour to choose your blazer because it was not going well with your tie. You could have changed your tie! But no, and in the end, you changed your whole suit.

Jung-hyun : And what about.....

Jungkook : OK! Stop it. You two should take a look at the time, you're seriously going to miss the flight.

Gyu-Young : Don't worry, baby. We'll not. It's still 4. (Pointing to the boxes and glaring at her hubby) And I was busy making some dishes for you and your friends, not doing any make up.

Jungkook : Thank you, Eomma. They'll love it.

Gyu-Young : Hmm. And here. (Giving him some keys)

Jungkook : What are these for?

Gyu-Young : These are the house keys. Whenever you feel stressed up, or frustrated about anything, you can come here. A change in the environment is good for you.

Jung-hyun : And you can bring your friends here. But no partying.

Jungkook : Got it.

Jungkook didn't get to spend time with his parents, like he wanted. But after so many days, he got home like feeling. As he was too much exhausted yesterday, he slept till 11. His Eomma prepared all his favourite dishes, and his Appa played video games with him, and he couldn't ask for more. They were ready to take some days off for Jungkook, but he declined, saying he had got more than he ever wished and he had something to take care of now.

Jungkook : (Pouting) I really want to come to airport to send you off.

Jung-hyun : It'll be very late till you reach your dorm, after dropping us in airport.

Gyu-Young : Yeah, and you have to go to BigHit tomorrow, right?

Jungkook : Hmm. Yes.

Jung-hyun : All the best, Jungkook. Don't forget what I told you.

Jungkook understood what his Appa talking about.

Jungkook : Don't worry. I'll succeed.

Gyu-Young : Bye, baby. Take care. (Hugging her son)

Jungkook : You too.

After Jungkook bid adieu to his parents, he reached the dorm around 6 in the evening.

Yugyeom : Look who's back!!

Bambam : Kookie. I missed you. (Hugging him more like attacking him)

Mingyu : He was just gone for a day, Bambam. Don't be so dramatic.

Bambam : I missed him, though.

Jungkook : OK, I missed you, too. Here, Eomma prepared these for you guys.

Yugyeom : Woah! After so many days I'm going to taste her food.

Mingyu : So, did you enjoy your time with them?

Jungkook : Huh? Ah..I did. It was fun.

Bambam : Is something wrong? You don't sound excited.

Jungkook don't want his friends to know about Kim brothers and him. Not now. He will tell them when his brothers accept him. He don't want to include his friends, in this messy relationship.

Jungkook : No. I had so much fun with them. Anyways, I have something to tell you guys.

Yugyeom : What is it?

Jungkook : I passed the audition, and I decided to join as a trainee in BigHit.

Yugyeom & Bambam & Mingyu: What?!?

Jungkook : I passed the audi...

Yugyeom : We heard you. But why? You did it just for fun.

Jungkook : Yeah. But now I really want to give it a try. Opportunities like this are very rare and getting selected for BigHit is not a joke.

Bambam : We understand. But you need to take care of your health too.

Jungkook : Don't worry about it, Bamie. I've got everything under control.

Yugyeom : And you told your parents about this? They agreed?

Jungkook : They did. And I'm going tomorrow to sign an agreement with them. Who's coming with me?

Mingyu : I'm free tomorrow.

Bambam : Uh...I'll come too.

Jungkook : Ok. Yugy?

Yugyeom : (Sigh) I'll come. After what happened I cannot let you go alone.

Jungkook : Ok, then I'll go and freshen up.

Yugyeom is having his doubts on Jungkook's sudden change, so he decided to tag along. He thinks Jungkook is hiding something from them.
