"Shh, there there Gabriel. Mommy's here, Mommy's right here," Mommy whispered softly, wrapping her arms around the smaller human. His face buried into the plastic features that the toy was made of, Gabriel sobbed his heart out. He felt horrible and disgusted with himself. Whether it was an accident or not, he was harming living creatures left and right ever since he had entered the factory. He had left ten years ago to avoid doing that very thing but now... he was back.

"Gabriel," Mommy spoke softly, gently cupping her right hand under Gabriel's chin. Tipping his head upwards so they could look eye to eye, the giant spider-like toy went on, "We should get moving. We shouldn't spend forever in one spot." Wiping his bloodshot eyes with the back of his hand, Gabriel meekly nodded his head in understanding. He didn't feel like talking right now. The pair stood up and walked down the very hallway that Mommy had come from. Falling into step beside the human, the toy quipped, "Let me know if I need to change the webs on your hands."

"Huh?" Gabriel mumbled. Looking down at his hands, he discovered spider webs on his palms right where the metal gate sliced them. Mommy must've bandaged them at some point during his crying. Wrapping his arms around himself, the middle aged man rasped, "I'll let you know." The duo reached the end of the hallway and were now in a cavern under the factory. Leading the way, Mommy murmured, "Stay close Gabriel, don't want you falling."

"Okay..." Gabriel replied, his voice inaudible. "Please speak up dear, Mommy can't hear you when you mumble," Mommy pointed out. Coiling her left arm around the human, the giant spider-like toy lifted him up into the air. "What's bothering you?" she asked kindly. Unable to look her in the eye, Gabriel managed to choke out, "I'm turning into a monster..."

"Oh come now, I'm supposed to be the monster. Not you," Mommy responded sternly. Gabriel opened his mouth to protest but the toy put a stop to that as she lectured him, "Accidents happen. You didn't mean for Miss Delight to get hit by the door or whatever happened between you and Huggy on the surface."

"What about your hand?" Gabriel asked quietly. Taken aback by this, Mommy didn't answer right away. Sensing he had managed to get his point across, the middle aged man hung his head in shame as he stammered, "When this place shut down... I figured that... that I... I could finally live where... I could never EVER... hurt another soul." Sniffling, he grumbled, "And yet here I am, sucked back into this torture..."

"Did you know there used to be a Daddy Long Legs and Baby Long Legs?" Mommy suddenly questioned, catching Gabriel off guard. He quietly shook his head so the spider-like toy recounted her story, "The three of us were exploring a cavern similar to this one. I was carrying Baby while Daddy was on a higher ledge. I almost joined him up there but I slipped. He wasn't fast enough to catch me, so Baby and I fell hundreds of feet down into the depths." Blinking her eyes shut, Mommy whispered, "Baby didn't make it."

"I'm sorry to hear that," Gabriel offered his condolences. Climbing up a rock wall, Mommy stated, "Daddy and I were both devastated. I blamed myself for months. I replayed the scenario multiple times in my head, trying to figure out what I could have done differently. Daddy was worse, he couldn't forgive himself for not being quick enough. He ended up wandering deeper into the factory, never to be seen again."

"How... how did you get through the loss?" Gabriel asked, rubbing at his sore eyes. Mommy smiled and laughed as she answered, "I had my friends and brothers to help me see the light. I meditated, I did things I loved. I told myself that accidents happen. There's no changing the past." Jumping down onto a platform, she booped Gabriel on the nose as she concluded, "The only thing we can change is the future. The path behind you is dark from past mistakes but the future is bright with all kinds of possibilities." Drying his tears with his red bandanna, Gabriel murmured, "Thank you Mommy."

"My pleasure-" Mommy was cut off by a small noise down below.
