Kokichis pov

It was just another normal day. Me and my dice members were running from the cops.

"keep me covered kai-chan " I said to my astronaut/bodyguard next to me.

"will do young leader" he said bumping his fists together.

I got behind some barrels and shot some spray paint at them. Kaito got to beating the crap out of them. Damn he's good at what she does!

I was reckless however and didn't notice the guy behind me. He pulled the trigger and before I knew it kaito jumped in and took the bullet for me!

He collapsed into my arms. In anger I pulled out my paint gun and shot him several times in the eyes .I held him close, his blood getting all over my hands.

"kai-chan please stay with me!"

*time skip*

We rushed him to the hospital with tears running down my cheeks. He can't die he can't! I haven't even told him how I feel.

I burst into the hospital "please help me my friend got shot!"

They took her away and a kind nurse made me some tea to help calm me down.

A couple of hours later a doctor came out.

"is he ok?" I asked nervously.

The doctor sighed "he'll live but he's in a coma at the moment. Would you like to see him?"

I nodded and rushed in. He lay there on a breathing machine. He looked so pale and weak. I broke down when I saw her.

I took his hand tearfully "I'm sorry kaito. This is all my fault. Please don't die on me!"

Kaitos pov

I've been in state of unconsciousness ever since I got shot in the stomach. Kokichis been with me the whole time. I've heard him speak to me. He said such wonderful things to me. Things I've never heard before.

"kaito please don't leave me I love you"

!?

"I've loved you ever since we had that conversation under the stars. I'm so sorry I never told you"

I could hear him crying. I didn't want him to be sad. Especially not after such a heart felt confession. I had to comfort him! And so I forced my eyes open and...

"kokichi please don't cry"

His head shot up. I could see his tear stained eyes and everything! He ran up and kissed me. It felt surprisingly nice.

"oh thank god you woke up kaito! I promise I'll never let anything like that happen to you again" he said holding me close.

I hugged him back feeling happier than words can express.
