Kokichis pov

I've been following kaito around since the day he protected me. It resulted in me getting punched a couple of times but I didn't mind. I really saw something good in him and I wanted to be his friend.

"oi brat" I looked up to see kaito glaring at me "why the hell do you keep following me?"

"cause I want to be your friend" I said honestly.

He burst out laughing "kid you want to be friends with me? You dumber then I thought!"

"I'm not dumb" I pouted "I wanna be your friend!"

"oh and why's that? Do you want a bodyguard?" he asked.

"no" I insisted. Though having kaito protect me would be nice.

"then why the fuck do you want to be my friend huh?" he yelled.

"cause I see good in you" I yelled back.

"your talking bullshit! Your pissing me off!" he raised his fist like he was about to punch me.

I put my arms in front of my face but kaito stopped. He had a guilty look on his face.

"I can't believe I tried to hit you just for being nice to me" he sat down with a sigh "I don't know what you see in me kid but it's not good" I've never seen this about of sincerety in kaitos eyes before.

"yes it is" I said laying against him "you just need to show your more gentle side"

He didn't say anything. He simply wrapped his arm around me. I smiled to myself. I think he's warming up to me!
