In the enchanted forest Regina and Rumple loved each other and had twins. The younger one, Lilith from birth showed signs that she had magic, while the older one, Scarlet, seemed to not show any signs at all of having magic. Years passed, and as the girls grew Lilith excelled in learning magic and quickly became the golden child, while Scarlet struggled learning magic. Soon they turned 10. By this point Scarlet only knew protection spells. So because they favored Lilith more, Regina and Rumple cast Scarlet out, and sent her through a portal.
