Imagine one night your OTP have an argument, and person A storms out. B regrets everything they said as soon as the door slams shut behind them, but don't go after them, thinking A needs some time and space to cool off for a while.
Come morning, however, A still hasn't returned, and B is very worried. They go out to look for them, only to find A asleep in the car outside. Turns out A regretted everything as soon as they left as well - they were just too stubborn and proud to come back in.
