It might seem like this mission report is an attempt to shift blame.

The goal was to collect a clear sample of sentient thoughts from the human population.

I was to 'form match' a common object and collect the thoughts by being touched.

A 'local use' transport trolley was assigned by my superiors. The term of service was one rotational cycle of the planet.

We did not foresee pandemic changes in the population movements.

We especially did not foresee being placed deep with a stack of transport trolleys.

We made it back to the collection point for the scheduled pickup.

But we broke certain discretion protocols in that effort.
