Chapter 2 ► A Stressful Evening
(Y/N) slept through the rest of her stressful day, hoping she'd sleep through night as well. But that got cancelled when she heard her phone go off. After forgetting she passed out on the couch, she answered the phone call, not checking the checking the caller ID. "Hello.."
"Oh my god, you're actually not dead!" Evan said as (Y/N) instantly recognized his voice.
"I was taking a break, asshat." (Y/N) chuckled. "Anyways, I just woke up. What do you want?"
"You just woke up?! It's like 9:30 at night!"
"I had a busy day alright." (Y/N) replied finally sitting up.
"What'd ya do?"
Suddenly, (Y/N) recalled her not-so-new neighbor. "Uhh.. I had to wash my cat..?"
Evan was now confused. "You said you don't have pets-"
"SO you still didn't answer MY question!" (Y/N) said cheerfully cutting him off. "What'd you want?"
"Umm.. I wanted to see if you'd answer this time so we can record something."
(Y/N) honestly was lazy to get back into the swing of things. She wanted a few more days to herself. "Can't we play another time?" (Y/N) asked. "I'm a bit sick." She followed it up with a few fake coughs.
Evan chuckled, he knew she was lying but it was such a cute fake cough to him. "I can't. I'm hanging out with Craig tomorrow and some girl he met."
"O-oh." (Y/N) started to stutter as she recalled her plans.
The buff male caught her stuttering. "What? You jealous?"
"Of course not!" (Y/N) yelled while Evan laughed. "Fine, I'll get on soon. Later fuck stick."
Gaming and editing time skip
As morning started to peek through (Y/N)'s curtains, she was rudely awakened yet again by another phone call. (Y/N) heard the different ringtone playing 'Outta My Mind' letting her know it was Jon. "Speak." (Y/N) said grouchily as she started laughing.
"Wooooow" Jon said acting very offended at something. "You answer Evan's calls but not mine?!"
It was definitely too early for (Y/N) too get questioned. "What do you mean?"
"He uploaded a video with you in it!" Jon shouted.
"Oh. Yeah." (Y/N) recalled and giggled innocently. "I'm sorry, Jon."
"Nu!" He replied making it obvious he was pouting.
(Y/N) rolled her eyes. Jon would get like this sometimes when she paid attention to their friends more than him. But she actually thought it was kind of cute. "Let's play tonight! When I get home though."
"What? Where you going? How long will you be out?" Jon asked as if he was some third parent of (Y/N)'s.
"Just uh.." (Y/N) stopped trying to think of an excuse. "Hanging out with friends."
"Is this what you've been doing on your 'break?'" Jon asked somewhat coldly.
"Yes and no??"
Jon was a bit upset with his best friend. 'If this really was what she was doing, she shouldn't have an excuse to not call or text me...'
"I guess.." Jon said hurt. "Sorry, I just missed ya (N/N).."
(Y/N) giggled. "I missed you too!" She replied back. But Jon started missing her in a different way.
The best friends exchanged their goodbyes and hung up. Having to lie to Jon was hard for (Y/N). It was usually the two of them who'd have their insides jokes on the guys, their own little snark remarks about them, but telling her best friend that she's going to hang out with one of their friends online is something she was unsure about.
Jon hasn't even seen (Y/N)'s face since their baby days, so even if Craig or Evan posted a picture from tonight, she wouldn't get caught. So the sneaky (H/C) brushed off the guilt. Besides, the things Jon knew about (Y/N) back then is completely dead. It's like she was another person.
More time skips
When it was time for the three to hang out, (Y/N) became an awkward bean. She hated having to make a her voice an octave a bit higher, hated having to stop herself from laughing. The movie they went to watch first was no help. It was hard for poor (Y/N) to enjoy it, she couldn't laugh at the scenes she wanted to. She just wanted it to be over.
After leaving the theater, Evan drove his friends to a restaurant out in town to have dinner. (Y/N) was in awe looking around the dim lit restaurant. While Craig followed the girl who was leading them to their table, Evan looked back at the (H/C) haired girl as her (E/C) lit up with amazement.
Evan might just have to thank Craig for introducing each other.
They got a curved booth next to a window that had a beautiful night view of the busy city. They boys took their seats on either side of (Y/N). "You like your new home so far?" Evan asked her, snapping her out of her awe.
(Y/N) felt her face heat up as she turned away from the window to face Evan. She never really paid attention to Evan's looks, not even from his face reveal video. But goddamn, (Y/N) knew he was so much hotter in person, his buff frame, his cute smile, his voice, everything was better. 'Snap out of it you pervert! That's your friend! One of your more annoying friends to be exact!'
"Y-yea! I love it here!"
"Oh (Y/N)," Craig stopped Evan before he could continue the conversation. "Was that you yelling last night?"
Fuck. "Umm.." (Y/N) scratched her head nervously. "Yea sorry, I was playing a game with my friend."
"Damn you play games? You don't look like the type!" Evan commented making (Y/N) slightly annoyed. This was one of her pet peeves as a gamer girl. "What do you play?"
Fuck! "Well I own a Ps4 and Xbox One, but I mainly play on PC now." (Y/N) answered quietly.
"Are you serious?" The boys eyes lit up when she answered, like they struck a treasure chest. "What's your steam name?" Evan asked first.
Now (Y/N) really had to do something. "O-oh I probably don't have the games you have!" She lied.
"It's no problem, we can buy them!" Craig countered her excuse. (Y/N) could feel her hands clamming up.
"Ohh.. I really don't think it's good idea adding me guys." The boys then exchanged weird looks. "I-uhh share my account with my nephew! Yea! His parents won't let him have his own account, so he uses mine. On BOTH steam and consoles."
Evan and Craig thought this was pretty peculiar, but brushed it off when the waiter came to take their orders. The friends ordered what they desired then watched the waiter leave. As soon as (Y/N) thought she was done being questioned, a certain friend decided to call. Unfortunately for her, she forgot to mute her phone so 'Outta My Mind' was being blasted. 'It's not even late for him yet, what the fuck does he want?!' She thought as she muted the call and waited for it to end.
When (Y/N) looked back up from her phone, she got weird stares from the two males. "Nice ringtone." Evan commented as he snickered. She knew exactly what they were referring to.
"So, you must know who Evan and I are if you know who Delirious is." Craig added on.
"D-Delirious?" (Y/N) mentally face palmed at her most stupidest attempt to lie yet.
The two males looked at her even weirder. "That song's H2O Delirious's old outro." Craig specified.
"Oh I uhh don't watch whoever that is." Lies. "That's just my ringtone for my one friend because he-umm.. likes the song."
(Y/N) could feel her face burning from frustration of hiding and embarrassment. She then felt her phone being bombed with texts. Why bother looking? She knew it was Jon. But she also knew he wasn't going to stop.
Jon 💙🐻
"where r uuuuu :c"
"Delirious wants to play now!"
"I know you see my texts."
"Answer meee </3 D:"
"will you shuch up?! >:c"
"I'm not home yet, I'm sorry!"
Then Jon continued to make it worse.
H2O Delirious tweeted:
Answer your phone @(YT/N) D:
It definitely didn't help the situation, especially because she heard her friends' notifications go off at the same time he tweeted.
Evan started giggling. "Guess (YT/N) likes me more than Delirious~" He said with a smug look as Craig rolled his eyes. "Here, I'll help the guy out." Oh shit. (Y/N) felt her heart stop for a second. Her cover's about to be blown.
Her phone started buzzing, she peeked at her screen and saw her Skype app on because of Evan's call. It was obvious that the boys felt it, they shared the same seat! All eyes were officially on her. 'C'mon.. think of something!'
"Hey look our waiter!" (Y/N) pointed, instantly rejecting Evan's skype call. "Oops.. guess that wasn't our food." She said nonchalantly as Evan checked his phone seeing his call was rejected.
"The fuck?"
"Try bombing her." Craig suggested. 'Yea fuck this shit.' (Y/N) had enough of the constant calling, not to mention it was even killing her battery. So she turned off her phone completely.
'I'll just apologize to Delirious when I get home.'
