CHAPTER TWO;; NOT EDITED

I snapped my eyes open when I felt someone shaking me awake only to find out it was my brother doing it. Rubbing my eyes with my hands, I smacked Theo's hands away from my body while I tried to wake myself up from the deep sleep I was in beforehand.

"Wake up sleeping beauty."

I turned my head, blinking a couple times before my eyes finally adjusted to my surroundings to see my brother grinning down at me. I literally wanted to smack him for waking me up but then I realized he wouldn't react that well to me laying my hands on him.

"What time is it?" My voice sounded hoarse from me trying to wake myself up. I readjusted my body so that I could look out the window more clearly and I saw that we were parked next to the sidewalk that led to the high school. The school looked like a normal place, but deep down there were more hidden secrets that needed to be unraveled and who knew when that would happen.

"It's time for you to get your ass out of the car," Theo replied, tapping his fingers on top of the steering wheel, "I'm not a patient person, so get going Carter."

"And where am I supposed to go?" I asked, raising one of my eyebrows in his direction. I was getting annoyed at my brother, his short replies were the main reason while I hardly started a conversation with him.

Theo sighed, "I already told you. Weren't you paying attention when I told you the first time?"

"No?" I said it more in a question form, making Theo shake his head in disbelief before he unlocked my door. I grabbed the handle of the door, pushing it open and headed towards the school when my brother's voice was heard once more.

"Don't screw this up."

I was about to give him a sarcastic reply back when Theo took off in his truck, leaving me to fend for myself. I pushed my hands inside my jacket's pockets before walking to the school's entrance. A groan left the back of my throat when it dawned on me that I didn't know who Lydia and Malia were, Theo didn't tell me any details and that annoyed me to the bones.

My phone started to ring, making me grab the device out of my back pocket to see that my brother was calling me. "Hello Theo, how may I help you?"

"Carter, don't talk to them," Theo ignored what I said.

"Don't talk to who?" I asked, confusion lacing in my voice.

"Who do you think dumbass?"

I could sense that Theo is rolling his eyes at my antics and I couldn't help but scoff at how rude he was being. Then it dawned to me that he was probably talking about Lydia and Malia. I couldn't understand why he didn't want me to talk to them.

"Do you mean Malia and Lydia, Theo?" I asked, just to clarify if he meant them or not.

"Yeah," with that Theo hung up the phone and I had to shake my head in annoyance at the boy's poor conversation skills. I stuffed my phone back into my pocket before making my way up the sidewalk to the school's entrance where I saw two silhouette of figures up ahead. I had no idea where I was going, I knew that the Seniors would be heading to the library for Senior Scribe according to my brother but since I had no idea where it was, I decided to ask someone nearby.

I approached the first people I saw and it happened to be a boy and a girl who seemed to be in a deep conversation with each other. I cleared my throat, catching their attention and I was about to open my mouth when the girl walked around me mumbling about someone coming in their direction in a fast pace. By the time, I turned to see what she was talking about, a boy came barreling towards us only to have him pushed down on the ground by the brunette.

"Oh my God," I sighed, realizing that the brunette might be apart of Scott McCall's pack. No one could have sensed someone coming by normal hearing, so she must be something not human. The boy on the floor looked in my direction before resting his eyes on his companions.

"Scott's in trouble."

That's when the brunette took off, making the boy from before shout, "Malia, wait!"

My eyes widened at the name. That was Malia? I would've never guessed and now I see myself barreling after her with the two unnamed boys racing behind me. I couldn't understand why I felt the need to protect her when I didn't even know her from the start. Something deep down in the pit of my stomach told me to run after her, and to protect her from harm's way.

When we reached the side of the school's building, my heart stopped when I saw my brother and a large male who had his blue talon like claws impaled inside of Scott McCall, lifting him off the ground with a snarl. I was about to walk away when I realized Theo would be furious if he saw me near him when he was trying to gain their trust, but something told me to stay with them.

My eyes squinted when I saw Scott's red eyes dull into his normal chocolate brown eyes and that's when I thought he lost his True Alpha status forever. All of sudden, Scott's hand wrapped around the man wrist, snapping it out of place when the man decided to drop him on the cement.

"I don't know who you are or what you thought you were going to do, but I'll give you a choice," Scott McCall growled at the man who was clutching his wrist in pain, "You can stay and I'll break something else, or you can run."

The man looked in my direction before resting his eyes on Stiles who spoke up, "I'll run."

And that's what he did.

Once he was out of sight, I looked up to see my brother staring me down with something gleaming in his eyes. Anger. I huffed loudly, walking past Scott and Malia and took my place next to my brother who was about to whisper something when he noticed that Scott and his pack were staring in our direction. They were mostly staring at Theo but I saw Malia's eyes lingering on me before she glanced at my brother in curiosity.

My brother smiled and took a step forward, "You don't remember me, do you? I guess I look a little different since the fourth grade."

Scott's eyes widened once he realized who my brother is, "Theo?"

Malia kept her eyes on Theo before glancing at Scott, "You know him?"

"They used to," Theo said, "A long time ago, it has been ages since I saw Scott and Stiles."

Stiles looked over at me before speaking up, "And who is this?"

"I'm Carter," I spoke up before Theo could say anything.

I didn't want to mention anything about me being Theo's brother since I knew he would flip if I said anything. So I stayed quiet until I was asked another question since I didn't need my brother beating me later. Even though we're family, Theo treats me like a stranger most of the time when it comes to certain situations. Stiles nodded before turning his attention back to Theo who started speaking again.

"Trust me, I never thought I'd see you guys again," Theo smiled, "Couple of months ago, I heard of an Alpha in Beacon Hills. When I found out his name was Scott McCall, I just couldn't believe it. Not just an Alpha, but a True Alpha."

Scott tilted his head to the side, "What do you want?"

"I came back to Beacon Hills, back home with my family because I want to be a part of your pack."

With that Theo watched Scott and his pack leave and once they were out of earshot, he lunged at me. Pushing me against the wall with his claws on the tip of my neck he growled. "I told you not to talk to them. Why did you follow me down here?"

"I-I didn't mean to," I stuttered, but Theo didn't believe me because his claws were pressed hard against my throat, blood starting to leak out of my neck.

"I can hear your heartbeat, I knew that you followed them because you were curious," Theo snapped, "Listen good, if I ever catch you barging in any of my plans again, I will kill you myself."

With that, he left me go, me hitting the ground with a thud as I watched his retreating figure. I coughed up some blood and I sighed when I realized I had to walk home now. I got off the ground and started to walk in the other direction as I thought about what my brother said, making me scoff.

"And the worst brother award goes to Theo."
