I will directly start with the story.

Laksh couldn't believe it he was engaged and that too to a traditional girl like Ragini. He doesn't have a problem with the fact she is traditional no there was something else bothering him. Laksh it's not too late you can stop it and save the girls life. You are just too bad for her. She looks so innocent you can't break her heart.

Laksh stood up and all were confused. "Laksh what happen?". AP asked first as she knows the reaction of DP, who would had yelled at him the moment he tried to speak. Laksh lowers his head. "I'm sorry?". He slide out the ring and gave it back to Ragini. "I can't marry you!". They all were shocked and Ragini got heartbroken. She stood up with heavy feet's and looked at him with teary eyes. Her lips were shaking and it was difficult for her to speak as her voice got stucked in her throat. "Why?". The voice was paining and her tears were flowing.

He felt bad. "Ragini I don't love you and you seems to be very kind and innocent do you want to spent the rest of your life with a stranger, who has no feelings for you?". He went closer to her. "Listen Ragini even if I try to work on this relationship you are not the one I want to marry!".

All were shocked and Ragini fell on her knees. Laksh widen his eyes. He never wanted to break or hurt her. He only wanted to save her from a meaningless relationship. His hand was shaking.

"Laksh?". DP shouts his name, anger was understated he was ready to kill. Hate and frustration as well as shame were readable out of his face and hearable through his voice. "Don't you have the slightest idea what you are doing? You are not just ruining your, but also her reputation!". He come closer and hold the collar of Laksh. "This marriage will happen!". He shouts at him dangerously.

Ragini saw that and felt bad for him. If he doesn't like me why they didn't asked him in first place? Maybe he was forced to come here. She wipes her tears away and stood up, she slides the ring off her finger and hold it in front of Laksh and DP. "Laksh ji your alliance come to us and you were supposed to be my husband they all said it and I believe it, but I never asked you if you want to be my husband. I got the answer today. You don't need to be worried about me. I will handle myself!". Her body was shaking and she hold his hand. "Here!". Laksh took the ring. "Thank you for your understanding!".

Shekhar comes there and looked at them in anger. "Your son never had the intention to marry my daughter then why you come? Why you ruin our reputation? That is your upbringing!". Shekhar shook his head and went to his daughter. "Laado I will find a better one for you!".

Laksh felt bad. "Uncle what are you saying let her live her life and let her choose her life partner, there is no...".

Thaadh!

DP slapped Laksh in front of everyone. "You have already done a lot, don't interfere in their matter you have no rights. Get out!". Laksh was pushed by his father, he knew this would happen and he didn't mind it. "You know Papa keep your fake reputation and stupid rules I don't want them! I can survive without you all!". He left from there and AP runs behind. "Laksh? Stop, won't you listen to your mother?!". Laksh stopped for her only.

AP come to him. "Laksh what is this all, why are you refusing to marry her, what is wrong in her how could you say she isn't the one you want to marry. Is there someone else?". She hold his sleeve and shakes him. "Laksh answer me!". She was whispering but she come dangerously close to him.

"Maa there was someone, who broke my heart. I know to marry her won't bring her happiness because I don't trust in love anymore and I don't want to ruin her life, she has the right to choose the one she wants". AP nods. "Haan, but Laksh you didn't heard her, right?!". She wipes her tears away and Laksh confused. "She said I believe them. She had chosen you to be her husband, when a woman made a decision from the bottom of her heart no power can break her intentions. You might have lost the trust and believe in love, but not she! Laksh please, please do it for me!". She caresses his cheek.

Laksh made a fist. "Maa?". He doesn't wanted to but AP dragged him back. "Ragini can I talk to you?". AP asked politely and Ragini nods.

Both went into her room. "Ragini I know what Laksh did was wrong, but his intentions weren't wrong the way was wrong!". Ragini nods. "He tried to save me from this marriage...!". She looked out of the window. "Ragini you like my son and has chose him as your life partner, right?!". Ragini didn't answer her it wasn't needed as she knew it. "Agree to the wedding and listen to your heart. My son just needs to find it but you already have it. Love!". Ragini was numb. "But Laksh ji said even if he works on this relationship he won't love me... I'm not the woman of his choice. I'm to traditional for him!". AP shook her head, but before she could say something they heard a yell.

Ragini and AP come out. Laksh was again scold by DP in front of everyone. Ragini felt bad. "Laksh ji...?!". She comes to him running. "I'm ready to marry him if he wants to?". Laksh was confused. Why she wants to marry me knowing I had loved someone else and got heartbroken?

DP shouts. "What are you waiting for?!". Ragini frighten. "Papa stop this! I...?!". He saw his mother and took a deep breath. "I will marry her!". They again changed the rings and at MM Laksh got scold and almost beaten up.

Laksh was in his room, when he got a call.

Who is this?
He was exhausted and switched off the mobile and cries into his sleep.

A knock

"Come in!".

"Ragini why you said yes? I told you I will find a better one for you then?". Shekhar come and hugs her and she rested her head on his chest. "Haan Papa you said that, but isn't he your first choice for me? I really liked him the moment I saw his picture. Papa I wouldn't have mind it if I hadn't liked him, but I had started to dream of him. I don't know how this could happen". Shekhar caresses her head. "Laado if he does anything I will kill him!". Ragini shook her head. "No Papa, he isn't like that!". He left and she again tried to call him.

She found the note with the number on her bed. She guessed AP might have left it for her.

Laksh was fallen in his deep sleep... which lead him to his past...

Laksh woke up sweating and heartbroken. Why? Why isn't she leaving me? Why is she haunting me even in my dreams I have tried to forget her, but I can't!.

He hits with his fist on the bed. He stood up and went to the washroom to get fresh up.

At Baadi

Ragini was looking into her wardrobe. There is nothing modern enough I could wear to show him I'm not prude. Oh no...

She was thinking when she hears a knock on her window. "Swara? You here?". Swara nods. "Haan so how was your engagement?". She told her everything. "And you still want to marry him?". Swara asked in shock and she nods. "My heart says it and I'm listening to it!". Swara pouts. "Fine listen to your Heart, I won't stop you, but why are you tensed?". She told her about the cloth dilemma.

Swara and Ragini went out for shopping. "Swara isn't too much?". Swara shrugs. "Ragini it's upon you what you want to show and how much. I like it you are covered!". Ragini sat down. "But my shoulders?!".

Swara shook her head. "Only shoulder's are visible don't over react. When you are on a function then your back is more visible than this! Come on!". Ragini nods. "Current sometimes I think a Ghagra or Saree shows much more than necessary!".

Ragini was back at Baadi and she went into the kitchen. She prepared some snacks and filled it in a tiffin box. I will meet Laksh and show him that I can change, but only if he is ready to change too like hmm...

I don't want him to change I like him the way he is... but why I need to change for him? Why can't he like me like I am?.

She pouts but left to meet him in her new clothes. She neared MM and saw Pari, Uttara and AP as well as Sujata leaving the mansion. "Aunty?". Ragini come in front of them. "Ragini?". Ragini nods and looked at them. "Where are you all going?". She asked and was nervous to ask about Laksh. "Well we are going for shopping, but Laksh is at home! You can meet him!". Pari said and the other's nods. "Haan Ragini go!". Ragini smiles and went inside the house.

She was looking around. It's a big house where to find him?. She shook her head and find the kitchen she took a bowl and filled it with her handmade snacks. Now I can serve him.

Laksh was in his room it was dark and he was smoking a cigarette. He was lost in his thoughts and didn't hear her call. She went inside the room as she smelled the smoke. "Laksh?". She shocked seeing him there.

He turns and saw her and hides the picture under his bed. "Ragini you here?".

Ragini pouts she couldn't see much but the lighting of the cigarette. "You smoke?". Laksh stood up and nods. "I told you I'm not a good man!". He butt out the cigarette and looked at her the light of the floor made him see better. "What are you doing here? And what are you wearing?". He was confused and she entered the room. "Can I switch on the light?". Laksh did it by himself and then again he stars at her.

Ragini shows him the bowl. She opens a window to get some fresh air and sat on his bed. She asked him to sit and eat with her. "I'm not hungry!". He turns away and she starts to eat. "Okay!". She was eating and chewing audible. He sat on the bed and starts to eat with her. Both didn't looked at each other or the bowl and their hands met...

Ragini smiles and Laksh fears. "Sorry!". "Im not...!". She replied to him. He stood up from there and went into the washroom to clean his face. Ragini hold her hand and kisses the finger he stroke. I will listen to my heart... the air blows and it felt like if a storm is coming. The picture he hide come in front of her.

Ragini bend down and picked it up. She saw her and understood why he isn't interested in her. Laksh ji you already love someone... and not me?. Her eyes brimmed, when she heard the sound of the door she turns away and hide the picture under his pillow. She was trying to avoid his gaze.

Laksh felt her behaviour strange. "Ragini is everything fine?". He placed his hand on her shoulder and she felt a current passing through her body. Then the picture come in her mind and she runs out. "Ragini?". He shouts and follows her. "Ragini? Wait!". He keeps calling her but she didn't stopped and rushes out of the house. He runs behind her and hold her wrist.

*Slam*.

Both turned and the door was closed of the mansion. "Damn it!". He pressed the bell, but no one come to open the door. "Where are they all?". Ragini looked at him. "They have gone to the market!".

"Aaahh Maa!".

She scares from the thunder and hold him tight. "Laksh!". The thunder changed to a thunderstorm and both got soaked in the water. "Shit!". Laksh was holding her tight and thought where to go with her. "The garden house! It's under construction, but we can use it for the moment!".

Ragini hold his hand and both rushed there to get the shelter. Both entered the garden house. It was really a site nothing was completed. Laksh closed the door behind them and looked at her. Ragini went inner and looked around. She turns and saw him.

He took off his shirt and she got scared she turned away and hold herself. She places her hand on her upper body. I don't want this... I never thought he would do this!. Chi....

She felt his hand on her shoulder and then his shirt. He turns away and tried to find something to use. Ragini was holding the shirt tightly and covers herself more.

Laksh remembered they have a chimney. He went out again and looked at the backyard there was a small place.

He took a few of the dry wood sticks and comes in again. Ragini saw him he was completely soaked and she comes to him. "Laksh have you gone made?". He pushes her aside and tried to lighten the wood sticks.

Laksh was freezing, Ragini saw that and come from the back and hugs him. "Laksh please be careful!". She hold him tight. "Ragini...". He falls backwards and she shocked. "Laksh?". She shakes him, but he was unconscious. Ragini lies next to him and gave him body heat.

Laksh was holding her tightly the moment he woke up he got a shock. "Ragini?!". She stood up looking at him. "Laksh you feel better now?". She checked on him and he confused. "Ragini what happened?". He was looking at her with guilt. "Nothing happened! Please get up! The rain has stopped!". She gave him his shirt back and both come out of the garden house.

The whole family saw them coming out of the garden house. DP was fuming as Laksh was just buttoning his shirt. What were they doing there?. Ragini was having a small mark on her her neck. "Laksh what have you done there?". He shouts and hold his collar. "Uncle please stop hurting him!". She come between them and DP bursted out on her. "You are not better than him!". Ragini frighten and Laksh felt bad. "What the hell is wrong with you, she hasn't done anything in fact she has saved me. I was freezing because we both got locked out of the house and got soaked in the rain. No one was at home and the only option we had was the garden house!". Laksh said at them and DP looked at them in anger. "So both of you are careless. Neither her or you thought of a mobile phone?".

Laksh fumes. "Enough!... enough you have said a lot, but I won't let you say anything against her anymore! She is my friend and you know my friends are very important to me. So you better not say a word against her, ever again!". He took her hand and went inside the house he took his car key and drove her home.

Ragini was looking at him only the drive was silent and she could hear her heartbeat only. I'm his friend and they are important. I am important for him.

Laksh stopped the car in front of Baadi. "Ragini I don't know what had happened to you earlier and the room that you run out like this, but trust me I'm your friend whatever it is you can tell me!".

Ragini was numb. The reason why I left is the reason why I shouldn't come into your life... but my heart says you are the right one for me. Should I ask him...?.

Laksh shook her. "Ragini your Daadi?". Ragini turns and saw the anger in her eyes. "Oh no!".  Laksh looked at her. "All fine should I talk to them?". Ragini shook her head. "No, it's okay I will handle. Bye!". She stood off the car and went inside the house and got the scold of her life.

Ragini was upstairs in her room. How dare I meet my fiancé? Really can't I have this much freedom and trust? Uff!.

And how dare I wear these clothes as if the clothes says something about me?! Nothing on top of that Laksh didn't liked it so I don't think he liked anything I did today, but he said I'm his friend.

Ragini lies on the bed thinking of him and then the picture come into her mind...

Laksh was back at MM, he didn't eat anything and went up to his bedroom. He changed his clothes and sat on his bed with the bowl. He smiles and eats the rest as his stomach growls.
Well she can cook... good quality. She is nice and saved me...

A knock and he looked at the door. His mother come in and asked him. "Laksh are you okay?". Laksh looked at her. "Maa how could he say something like this to her? I can't believe it!".
AP caresses his head, he was lying on the bed and his head was resting on the pillow. Laksh moves and looks at her. "Maa I can't sleep!". AP was looking at him. "Why?". Laksh shook his head. "Don't know there is something disturbing me!". AP got confused. "What?". She saw the picture. "Laksh when will you forget her?". Laksh looked at her. "What?". He had forgot her since Ragini was with him. Laksh sat up and saw the picture in AP's hand. "Maa?".

AP stood up. "Laksh enough of your pitying on yourself. She is going to become your wife soon!". AP left and Laksh took the picture.

"Jaya!". Oh shit this picture was under the bed and... oh.

He was thinking how to contact her, just then he remembers the miscall of yesterday night.

He took up the mobile and called the number.

"Laksh?".

He cleans his throat. "Yes me! It's my number!".

Ragini smiles. "Laksh in this time?".

Laksh took a deep breath. "Ragini I need to tell you something!".

Ragini was scared. "What?".

"Not on phone personally. Please meet me tomorrow at the beach?".

Ragini thought. "Okay! At which time?".

Laksh thought. "Not so soon! I want to sleep long! What about... Uhm Haan 4 p.m.?".

Ragini giggles. "Okay fine, see you tomorrow! Bye!".

"Bye good night!".

They ended the call and the next morning come.

Laksh was having fun with his sister. "Wow Bhai something changed in you!".

Pari come. "Haan he seems to be very happy today!".

Laksh looked at them. "Kind of?". He smiles and left from there to meet Ragini.

Ragini was sitting there and Laksh come from the back. He places his hands on her shoulder. "Laksh!". She turns and hugs him.

"You recognised me just by my touch?". Laksh asked and she nods. "Haan my heart says it's you!".

Laksh smiles. "You often Listen to your heart?!". Ragini nods. "Yes, it's an advice I got from someone special!". Laksh nods. "Good...". He broke the hug and looked at her. "Uhm I... I need to tell you something important!".

Ragini felt bad she looked down. Laksh saw that. "Ragini if it wouldn't important I won't have told you, but it is needed for because it is about our future!". He took her hand both sat on the bench.

"Here name is Jaya I had loved her. Ragini I won't go in detail just wanted to tell you that there was someone, who had used me just to gain the love of someone else! I don't want to start a relationship on a lie or a secret!". He said to her and she looked at him. "But you said I'm not the woman you can marry!".

Laksh nods. "Yes, I said it because I was trying to break our relationship and I failed, but I'm happy that I failed because only now I could hear my heart.... Ragini can you give me a chance? A new start?". He forwarded his hand and Ragini looked at him and took his hand.

"Ragini Gadodia, nice to meet you!".

Laksh smiles. "Laksh Maheshwari, nice to meet you too! I got to hear you are engaged to a very handsome and dashing man!".

Ragini nods. "You are well informed. Well Lucky he that I agreed to marry him!".

Laksh looked at her numb.

Ragini laughs. *Hahaha*. "Look at your face!". Laksh shook his head. "Wah Ragini I'm telling you what my heart says and you!". He turns with a pout face. Ragini hugs him from back. "I'm engaged okay. Don't try to hit on me. My fiancé is no one else than Lakshya Maheshwari!". She said into his ear. "Oh I'm scared! I should meet him and tell him that his fiancé is faithful!". He turns and looked at her. "Haan Laksh I will be always faithful to you!". He smiles. "I know!". Both stood up and left from there. He drove her home.

RagLak were standing there in front of the door of Baadi. "Ragini should I talk to them?". Ragini shook her head. She turns to him and the moment he turns to her and both kisses each other.

Ragini lowers her gaze. "Sorry!".

Laksh smirks. "I'm not!".

Ragini looked at him and hits him playfully. She entered Baadi and was on cloud 9.

All has changed to the best, because she listen to her heart...

Ragini was getting ready the wedding day come. Laksh was waiting but not for long.

The rituals were done and Laksh was having his love in his life, who only listens to her heart. And her heart only says Laksh...

Epilogue

Laksh was holding the pillow tightly, he was sleeping on the bed alone.

Ragini was sitting there with a pouting face. Stupid, idiot doesn't has the slightest idea how to treat a woman.

Ragini pushes him and he falls off the bed.
Laksh looks at her. "Ragini?". He pouts and looked at her. "Why you did this?".

Ragini fumes. "Do you even have an idea what day it's today?". She was resting her head on her hand.

Laksh looked at her and then on the watch. It isn't 00:00 a.m. yet and she is behaving as if I had forgot it.

Laksh pouts. "Ragini have you seen the time?".

Ragini checked the time. "It's 11:50 p.m.". She shouts and Laksh shook his head. "Then please give me 10 more minutes!".

He took the pillow and lies on the ground. Ragini pouts. "Laksh!".

Laksh stood up and hugs her tightly. "Aww Baacha you are so sweet! Here have this gift!".

She opens it. "What is it?". Laksh looked at her. "You are opening it!". He shouts.

Ragini pouts. "Idiot!". She looked inside it. "Haaw Laksh Kangan {Bangles} I love them!".

Laksh smiles. "Here the next!". He gave her one after one till the time reached 00:00 a.m.

"Happy Anniversary Maa Papa!".

Two kids come to them and hugged them tight.

"Raksh Lakisha look your mom shows her real colour after the marriage!".

The kids laughs and sleeps with them on the bed.

Laksh smiles and looked over the kids. He whispers. "Ragini...?".

Ragini looked at him. She frowns. "What?".

"I love you!".

She smiles. "I love you too!".

"We love you three four five.... infinity!".
