Ragini was at the temple with Swara, all were preparing for the wedding of SwaLak, they were all happy as the day had come.

Swara was walking to the bridge, Ragini was still at the temple, she was talking to the Priest, "Pandit ji, please come on time. Today is my sister's wedding we can't accept a delay. Everything should happen in right time." She was giving the instructions to everyone.

"Ragini you don't worry we will be on time, you go home Swara already left." The priest told her and she turns, "what she left without me? Strange."

Ragini too walked over the bridge she felt slippery, "oh." She signs of relieve, "shit. Oh!" She bites on her tongue and hit her back head, "today no bad words." She left from there back at Baadi all was going on.

"Maa where is Swara?" Ragini was getting ready in her room, "Maa!!!" She shouts, but there was no reply.

Ragini felt angry, "Maa, Daadi, Dida what happened? Where is Swara?" She was asking them and the groom side had arrived.

All looked at Ragini, "what you mean where is Swara?" Sanskaar asked and she shrugs, "don't know she left the temple without me."

The Priest stood up, "that is true. Ragini was talking to me and Swara left the temple. She was walking back home. I saw that with my own eyes." He said in her defence.

Laksh put the veil away, "okay, fine, but where is she?" He asked and all were looking around, they started to search for her, but there was no sign of her.

AP looked at Laksh, "you see how your choice is behaving with us, she cut our nose in front of the whole city. She left on her wedding day."

Laksh shook his head, "Maa I'm sure there is something wrong. Please let's find her she can't leave me like this. Ragini!" He shouts and she frighten.

"Laksh, What happen?" Ragini was scared, he packed her hand, "where is she? Has she said something to you? If you know that you must tell me!" He was desperate, but Ragini shook her head with paining eyes, "I really don't know!" She said and was struggling to release herself from his grip.

Shekhar comes to her help, "Laksh! She doesn't know leave her now!" He shouts at him and Laksh looses the grip from her arm.

Ragini was silently crying, she shook her head, "Papa I swear I don't know where she is. Maybe something happens to her. She was so happy to marry him, all her doubts were gone."

"All her doubts were gone, are you sure?" Laksh asked her, "then if her doubts were gone, then where is she?" He was broken and crying bitterly, while Adarsh and Sanskaar helped him up.

The two families were standing in front of each other, "we have to find another way. If Swara isn't here then there is no need for a wedding." DP said and the Maheshwari family agreed.

They left Baadi without a new bride for their house.

Ragini was in her room, she couldn't understand anything. Where are you Swara? Laksh is still waiting for you, he isn't in his sense and is accusing everyone for your disappearance. Please come back as soon as possible.

Laksh was alone, he was drinking the whole night in his pain.

The next morning Laksh stood up, he was looking around and found himself next to someone, he wasn't expecting in his life.

"Ragini? What are you doing here?" Laksh said and hold his head.

Ragini was hiding her face, the shame and pain was unbearable for her.

Laksh sat on the bed, he was about to stand up, when he saw the room, he was looking around and found himself in Baadi, "no!" He shouts and looked at Ragini, her bare back was visible and so was he sure looking at himself.

"I'm so sorry!" He said and stood up from the bed, "Ragini I'm very sorry. I don't know how and why. Please Ragini I'm sorry." He walked to her and she wrapped herself in her duvet and didn't faced him.

"Leave my way." That was all she could say and he moved aside to give her the needed space.

Laksh was sitting there, he saw the room again it was Swars's bedroom, he came last night into the room as he saw the burning light. I thought it is Swara and then I lost myself. I ruined her life, how could I do this?!

Ragini took a shower. I love him more than myself. But he did this to me why? I came last night into the room to check if I could find a clue where she could be, but then he came from the back, calling me Swara.

"Swara how could you do this to me? Why you didn't you show up on the mandap {Altar} we were all waiting for you."

"Laksh ji, What are you saying? It's me Ragini..." he sealed her lips.

Ragini wore her clothes, with a very heavy heart she comes out he was sitting there on her bed holding the bed sheet in his hand.

Laksh was crying, he was looking at her, "Ragini I'm sorry. I know it won't help you and it won't make it unhappen, but I can correct it."

Ragini was confused, "what are you saying? Correct it?" She was looking at him in disbelief, "there is nothing, what can change it, you took something in your rush and I lost something, what will never return to me." She sniffs and he stood up cupping her face, "I know it, but the least I can do is to find a way to make it bearable for us." He wipes her tears away.

"I will come and ask for your hand, you won't say anything neither will you refuse. You will say yes to the wedding." Laksh wore his clothes and left from there.

At MM

Laksh was talking to the family, "I think the best thing we can do is to go back to the original plan and make Ragini the bride of the house. She is your choice and trustworthy, very traditional and according to you the best of all."

DP shook his head, "have you lost your mind? I won't go back to Baadi! Not after the insult I had to face because of Swara, who disappeared on the wedding day." He said in stern voice not giving Laksh a chance to explain himself.

"Maa please help me. I want to marry Ragini at any cost." He was pleading and AP got confused, "but Laksh it was your decision to break the alliance with Ragini in the first place, then why all of a sudden you want to marry her? Don't tell me you are going to take revenge from her as Swara left!" She gave him a death glare.

Laksh shook his head, "Maa I would never do this. Let me correct my biggest mistake please!"

DP was glaring at his son with hate, "you want to marry her, fine do it but only under one condition of me." He hold the collar of Laksh, "this marriage will be based on a contract for a year. After that she will return to Baadi, I won't keep her longer than necessary as my Daughter-in-law!"

All were shocked and Laksh couldn't believe it, "Papa what are you saying? You can't punish her for Swara's doing. She hasn't done anything wrong to you or anyone in this family."

DP pushes him, "if you want to marry her, then you will do what I say." He said with his last words and left the hall.

Laksh wasn't understanding anything, but a year is long and enough to change the mind of his father, "fine. I agree it will be a contract marriage, but you have to give her a real chance." He said, but DP didn't listened to him.

With a lot of struggle and effort Laksh could convince everyone to agree for the marriage as there was no sign of Swara.

RagLak wedding took place.

Both were broken and crying in their inner.

I'm sorry Ragini for everything, but I swear to you I will make it work and I will not leave you alone. I will keep you happy and safe.

I know Laksh this all is only your guilt and like DP ji said after a year I will be gone from your life. Don't worry I won't be a burden on you for long.

It's been weeks, that RagLak got married, both were staying in one room, but they weren't living together in it.

Laksh was sleeping on the couch, whereas Ragini had the bed.

"Laksh please switch off the light. I can't sleep."

Laksh was working on a file, since he got married DP has put on more conditions on Laksh, he has to work almost daily to get a longer stay for Ragini. Uff that work is too much, but I have to do it for her.

AP was looking at DP, "why are you putting one condition of another on him? He is your son and she is your daughter-in-law, Ragini was always our choice then why you behave rudely with him?" She was upset and DP knew it, "I know you must be thinking I'm cruel, but it's nothing like that. I just wonder, why all of a sudden he wanted to marry her and even if then why he behaved so desperate to get her? He is hiding something and I don't want Ragini to feel unwelcome. Laksh should prove me wrong and keep Ragini as long as possible. I would be the happiest of all. I never liked Swara, she wasn't fitting my ideal of a daughter-in-law."

"Laksh, please switch off the light!" She was getting angry on him, he turns to her and frowns, "I'm doing this all for you! You should be supporting me in that instead of this you are shouting at me?!" Laksh switched off the light and slept on the couch, after getting hurt on his foot.

Ragini heard it, "are you fine?" She switched on the light of her side cupboard.

Laksh shows his palm, "no need for your concern." He was resting on the couch with crossed arms.

Ragini rolls her eyes, "please aren't you doing a lot. A year isn't a big deal, we will handle it." She said resting her head on her pillow, "you won't miss me as I'm not your kind. You loved Swara and did a mistake considering her to be me. I'm not angry it happened and I know you never wanted to do it. You are trying to redeem yourself from the guilt, it isn't easy, but we have to forget the past and move on in our life's." She switched off the light and Laksh was numb.

Did she just said to move on without her? Has she lost her mind I'm not gonna let her go away, I'm fighting too hard for it. It's the first time I really want something to work out, there is no chance to give up.

Laksh wasn't able to sleep on the couch, he was moving here and there. In his sleep he lost his balance and hit the floor, "Maa!!" He moans in pain.

Ragini heard it and immediately looked at his direction, she switched on the light and rushed to him, "Laksh?!"

Laksh looked at her, "why are you staring at me, just give me your hand!" He forwarded his and asked her to help him up.

Ragini helps him and she felt a small current passing through her body, "You fine?"

Laksh rubs his lower back, "hmm... it's hurting, but I'm fine." He sat on the couch and jumped up, "oh Maa!" He said and Ragini rolled her eyes, "you can sleep on the bed."

Laksh shook his head, "I'm not mad, what if I do this mistake again?"

Ragini shook her head, "that night you weren't in your sense, but since then you haven't touched alcohol neither I could see you drinking anything else than water or juice. Sometimes I saw you drinking something white, what is this?" She was looking at him.

"That is called protein shake. Good for the health and muscles." He winks showing his bicep.

Ragini just shook her head and turns him, "strong haan!" She tips his bottom and he jumps up again, "Ragini it's paining yaar."

They were laying next to each other on the bed.

Laksh woke up, like every day Ragini woke up first. She arranged his clothes and files, then she went down and makes the breakfast.

Laksh was habituate to her, he took a shower and wore the clothes she had selected for him. Her taste is so good. Like me... he bites on his tongue and hits himself on his back head. Stupid me, I'm the reason of her misery, I hope she can forgive me someday.

Laksh came down, they were all having their breakfast together. Laksh sat on his usual place, Ragini was serving them the food, "Bhabhi how you feel now?" She asked and Pari smiles.

"Ragini much better. Thanks your Karah {Medicine} helped a lot."

Uttara was reading her book.

"Uttara, please put the book away, we are having breakfast now."

"Sorry Bhabhi, but I really need to catch up. My exam is tomorrow and it feels like I have learnt nothing!"

"Enough Uttara, I will help you later, please eat something only then you will be able to learn something."

Uttara nodded to her, "fine Bhabhi." She put the book away and started to have her breakfast.

AP and DP were happy as well as RP and Sujata.

Ragini was keeping the family united and being a part of the family Laksh was taking more responsibility for her.

Sanskaar was also happy, his brother has changed to a better person. Ragini is good for him, but there is something between them. She loves him, yet he doesn't love her or has something changed? Has he started to love her whereas she has stopped loving him?

Laksh was at the office, DP came into his cabin, "Laksh this file. You did a good job, you got an extension year for Ragini."

Laksh made a fist, in his anger he bursted out, "what the hell is wrong with you?" He shouts and all were looking into his cabin, "she is my wife, your daughter-in-law and I'm working day and night for her stay that is so ridiculous even for you! You have always liked her and I know you are doing this to punish me. Don't worry I will bear it, but nothing more against her. She is my wife!" He realised that he said it with an open door and sat back on his seat, "you may leave the cabin now and punish me at home." He said with lowered head and voice.

DP went over to his place of Laksh, he twisted the ear of Laksh, "you little man, finally you said she is your wife. Before that she was only my ideal daughter-in-law!"

Laksh felt the pain and the relief at the same time, "okay got it." He said with a smirk and DP left his cabin.

Uff Haan she is my wife and my responsibility. I have to make her understand this that I HAVE CHANGED, HER UNREQUESTED LOVE HEALED MY WOUNDS, BUT WILL I BE ABLE TO HEAL HERS?

Ragini was at home, she was alone with AP and Sujata, Pari has gone out to the market and Uttara was in her tuition class.

"Ragini please get us a chai?" AP asked her, while she was cutting the vegetables for the dinner.

"Haan Maa with ginger or cardamom?"

Sujata smiles, "array chori any you make they all taste so good."

Ragini nods with a smile, "then with Ginger." She was making the chai, but she felt a bit dizzy. Her head was pounding since morning, "Maa can I take some rest after serving the chai, my head is hurting."

AP and Sujata both rushed to her, "what?" They checked on her and asked her to take some rest, she doesn't need to work.

Ragini was sleeping in her bed, she was exhausted from the daily work, when Laksh came home, she was still in deep sleep.

Laksh was smiling looking at her. Gosh she is so cute, well she my wife. Laksh went through her hair, she felt his touch another current passes through her body, she opens her eyes and looked at his smiling face.

Laksh took his hand away, "how you feel now?"

Ragini opens her eyes, "better." She said in low voice, "I have called a doctor." Laksh said and went to the washroom.

Ragini got confused, "Doctor? But Laksh I'm fine!" She said and tried to stood up, but soon she falls backwards.

Laksh saw that and rushed to her, in his half clothes, "Ragini!" He shouts and everyone rushes into the room.

Laksh felt a bit embarrassed in his shorts, but all were concerned for Ragini.

"Ragini!"

Laksh smiles awkwardly, "I have called the doctor. Soon she will be here."

AP sat next to Ragini, she was caressing her head, the doctor came and checked on Ragini, "congratulation she is expecting." The news was spreading like a bush fire.

Laksh was looking at her, "I'm sorry. I don't know how you feel and I really don't want to hurt you ever again, but I'm happy. I'm very happy." He said to the unconscious Ragini and kisses her forehead.

Ragini opens an eyelid. She was listening to his words, but remained silent. I'm also happy, but don't know if you want me or not, yet it is just a year then you will be free from me.

Laksh put the duvet over her, "take some rest." He left the room and went down all congrats him and were happy for them.

Ragini was looking at her belly. In that night he thought I was Swara, but he mentioned my name. What was going on his mind. I have never told him why I let him do this.

"Oh Ragini it's you, I thought it's Swara. Sorry I kissed you."

Ragini shook her head, "Laksh ji please don't make it harder for yourself than it is, she will comeback to you, I'm sure."

"But I'm in pain now, I want to get rid off it. Can't you do something to heal my wounds?"

Ragini sat next to him, "ever since you chose her over me I was in pain too. I don't know how to heal this wound. I too am suffering the same way."

Laksh looked at her, "I will heal your wounds." He again cupped her face and sealed her lips.

I make you feel guilty for something I wanted. I'm sorry I dragged myself into your life I should have told it to you.

Ragini was coming down, they were all looking at her. Laksh saw her, "Ragini!" He went to her lifts her, "you shouldn't be doing anything, you need rest!" He said and carried her to table.

Ragini was sitting next to Laksh, she was blushing from one ear to the other, "Laksh I'm fine."

"No Ragini, now you will take rest!" Adarsh said and all started to pamper her.

Ragini was in her 7th month. She was always trying to find a way to tell him the truth.

Laksh was pampering her all the time, not letting her work or do any small work, only the clothes she is allowed to chose as he wants to be fit into her imagination. Baby should be effected by him.

Ragini was holding his hand, "Laksh I need to talk to you."

Laksh looked at her, he placed his hand on her belly, "Hey Baby. How are you?" He bend down and kisses her belly openly without hesitating.

"Say Ragini I'm listening."

"Woh....?"

The door opens and both looked at her, "Swara?!" They said in union.

Swara looked at them, "Laksh, Ragini it's true you are married."

Laksh stood up, "you were gone! Where were you all the time?" He wanted to know it was his right to know.

Ragini took a step backwards, but Laksh hold her hand tightly.

"Forget it, I don't want to know anything. Ragini clothes please."

Ragini nodded, she gave him the clothes and he went into the washroom.

Laksh was under the shower. Damn what is she doing here? Doesn't matter there is nothing left for her in my heart.

"Swara!" She rushed to her sister and hugs her tightly.

"Ragini I was going home, but then I slipped down the bridge. I was unconscious and went into a coma. I just woke up and come to know who I am. I'm so sorry because of me you had to marry Laksh to safe the family reputation."

Laksh comes out, "Ragini come it's food time." He hold her hand and left the room with her.

Swara follows them, Laksh carries her down, he doesn't let her walk the stairs.

Ragini looked at him, "Laksh enough of it. I can walk and the doctor said to do some exercises for my health."

Laksh shrugs, "I don't know anything." He ignored her complain. She went into the kitchen and made the food, they were all waiting for the food.

"Swara." She calls her, "you sit next to Laksh, here."

Ragini shows on her seat, but Laksh refuses it, "no way! My baby, my wife and my hand belongs together!" He said and the rest were not ready to argue with him.

Swara sat on another chair, she didn't mind as she saw the change in Laksh.

Ragini comes with the food, "Laksh here." She serves him first and then the rest.

Ragini was sitting next to him on her regular place, soon Laksh hand was on her belly like he said and he comes near her ear to whisper something into her ear, "I'm just waiting to get the waist back." His hand was moving and she widen her eyes, "why?" She asked him surprised, "to pinch you." He said with a smile that was talking to everyone that he has moved on, but it was riddle for her, she couldn't figure it out.

Swara smiles, "Ragini you have to eat food there is no way to fill your stomach by staring him."

Laksh shows her his tongue, "she needs to see me. Baby Papa is here and it's only me!" He points on himself and Ragini hits him playfully.

"Why are you saying this, I don't want my baby girl turn out to be like you!"

Laksh widen his eyes, "baby girl?"

Ragini shocked, she placed her palm on her mouth, "sorry!"

"Yes, baby girl!" He bend down and talked to the belly, "Okay baby I'm already looking for a name for you." He kisses her bellybutton.

"Laksh!" She shouts and he comes up again.

"What?!" He asked as no one could really see that he actually kissed her.

Ragini was murmuring something under her breath.

In the evening

"Ragini you wanted to tell me something, was it about the gender?"

Ragini was looking at him, she was placing the folded clothes into the cupboard. There she saw the contract, "a year is going to end, then I will be gone and you can be with Swara."

Laksh looked at her in disbelief, "what? Have you lost your mind! I'm not letting you go away from me. You are MY WIFE. I know all what had happened was my fault, but trust me I love you!" He said it and she was looking at him.

"You love me?"

Laksh went near her, "Yes Ragini, I love you!" He hold her hand, "and it's not because you are carrying my child. I started to love you the moment you become my responsibility. I only thought of it as you are my best friend and then I did this mistake I ruined your life. I played with you."

Ragini stopped him, "no Laksh, you are wrong!"

Laksh was shocked, "no Ragini, I love you! It's true!"

She shook her head again, "you are not understanding me."

Laksh took a deep breath, "Ragini I heard what Swara said I feel sorry for her, but it doesn't effected me. It won't effect me ever as I don't love her the way I love you."

Ragini hugs him, "Laksh you haven't done it I asked you to heal my wounds, you just healed me by your love." Ragini told him everything about the night and he wasn't angry at all, in fact, he was very happy the guilt he was feeling inside him was gone.

"So all is okay between us?"

Ragini looked at him, "you say, aren't you angry with me?"

Laksh laughs, "gosh no, I'm not and about the contact I would like to inform you, it was for me to realise, what your value is in my life. I always thought of you as the daughter-in-law of the house, not as my wife." He kisses her cheek, "but you are mine only."

Ragini was happy, they had founded their love.

Ragini was at the hospital at the time Swara was always around MM, but not only to meet Ragini and look after her, she had started to feel something for Sanskaar.

Ragini was in pain, "Swara where are they??!!! Aahhh!!!" She was holding the belly and crying bitterly, "Laaaaaaaaaaaaksh!!!!!!!" She was shouting in pain then the door opens, "I'm here!" He rushed to her and hold her hand.

"Laksh you know baby only feels good, when you hold the belly."

Laksh places his hand on her belly, "sorry!" He kisses her belly and she relaxes.

The doctor checks on Ragini's cervix, "I'm sorry but it's still too small, please relax and no pressing."

Ragini widen her eyes, "what! How long will it take?" She was crying bitterly looking at Laksh.

Laksh couldn't understand anything, but he hold her hand tightly, "I won't leave and stay here as long as it takes."

Ragini sniffs, "Okay!" The first child always takes longer and it took long, 20 hours of pain for both just to hear the small voice of their life.

"Hi Ragya, how are you?" Laksh said and Ragini smiles looking at them.

Epilogue

Ragini was smiling, Laksh was nuzzling her neck, she giggles and soon he pinches her waist.

Ragini moans, "Laksh!" She said and he smirks, "I told you I'm waiting for that."

He bend down to her belly and kisses her, she hits him, "Laksh I'm telling you, we will wait with the next baby. Ragya just turned 2 years old and you are already asking for the next one."

Laksh holds her tight, "array Ragini, just think I made her in my rush state, what will happen if I would be in my sense!"

Ragini shook her head in shock, "no, please Laksh. I couldn't bear the one, how will I bear the double or triple?"

Laksh looked at her, "you weren't alone!" He was angry, but then he saw how the door opens of their bedroom, even Ragini saw that.

A small girl in her diapers and a loose shirt comes closer to their bed. She tries to climb the bed, Laksh wanted to help her, but he stayed back.

"She need to be independent." Laksh said and Ragini nods, "like you!" Laksh frowns, "us!"

Ragini shows her tongue, "I love you."

Ragya finally reached the bed, "mummy!" She shouts and crawls to them, "Daddy Story." She said and laid between them.

RagLak both places their hands on her, "hmm there was a woman, she was loving a man, who wasn't sure about his feelings. Both have found a way to heal each other's pain with their love."
