Orochimaru woke up with a start screaming. His body was covered in sweat, breathing irregularly, and his mind was dazed and fog thinking of his nightmare.

He had sworn he buried away the memories of his comrades be portraying him by calling him a monster to focus on his plans. Why does even care about them still? Unless pawns that haunting him in his sleep.

Orochimaru squeezed his blankets trying to get the thoughts out of his head. He was pulled slightly out of his daze as the sound of hurried footsteps was heading towards his room.

A few seconds later the door slammed open. "Lord Orochimaru!" A familiar voice said gaining his attention.

Orochimaru turned around to see Kabuto looking at him from the other side of the door with concern in his eyes.

"Kabuto what is it?" Orochimaru said annoyed most because of his nightmare, not Kabuto walking in without permission.

"Sorry Lord Orochimaru, but I heard you scream is everything okay?" Kabuto asked pushing up his glasses.

Orochimaru sighed and rubbed his temples slowly laying back down on his bed trying to rest some more. "Nothing wrong," He lied not looking up at Kabuto.

"As your medic, it is important for to know if something is wrong," Kabuto stated. "So can we not go through the lying stage, and tell me what's wrong, because you're breathing fast and your heart is racing."

Orochimaru continued to stay quiet just wanting to avoid talking about his nightmare. Kabuto shook his head and walked over to the bed and sighed.

"If you won't tell me I just figure it out myself," He said turning Orochimaru to face him and saw a hint of fear with annoyance in his eyes.

'F

ear I see now what has him so upset now.' Kabuto thought pushing up his glasses.

"It was a nightmare wasn't it?" He asked.

"Oh don't act like that Lord Orochimaru," Kabuto sighed. "I'm here for you so please talk to me about it."

Orochimaru looked up into Kabuto eyes to see that he was truly concern about him, and decided maybe telling him was better than falling asleep and having the dream again.

"I dreamt of my old comrades calling me a monster and betraying me," He sighed. "I thought I was over it but suddenly it all came back. I don't know why."

"It's probably your fever bring back the awful memories. That won't truly give but suppress due to the pain it causes you," Kabuto replied. "Anyway, why don't you continue to sleep or relax. Dinner will be ready soon. You have been sleeping since after lunch."

Orochimaru nodded and began to don't of into hopefully a dreamless sleep or at least a peaceful sleep with no nightmares.

While Kabuto fixed the blankets and walked out of the room to make dinner for everyone living in the hideout.

A/N: I don't know how long this story will be since. I was mainly just writing it for fun as something that came to mind one day when I was bored and sick with a cold.
