Luna walked towards the palace South gate and saw it lend to the palace garden. "The entire pack owes me big time for this!" Luna struggle to the gate and mange to slip through the gate without anyone seeing her. "Your highness! Maybe you should listened to the wolves and -." "I am not going to listen to a stray dog that's tell me how to run my kingdom!" Luna quickly ran to hide behind a tree but trip over it's roots. The tree root scratch against her burn on her left leg and she yelled in pain. "Who's there?" Luna shock in fear and pulled her cloak more to cover her face as Ananke walked towards her. "Who are you? Why are you trespassing on palace grounds!?" Luna bowed her head to him, "please, forgive me, my lord, I ...I was attacked and I only seek shelter to recover." Ananke look at her and only gave a cold stare, "I am sorry, you have to leave because I can't help you." Luna panicked because she need to get into the castle, *I am regretting this mission so much!*

Luna lifted her good hand and took off her hood so he can see her clearly. Ananke jaw drop when he fully saw her ice blue eyes and her snow white hair. "please, I only ask to stay for 2 days, I will leave and be out of your life." For the first time, Ananke didn't knew what to do, he ran his hand threw his silk black hair and stared into her eyes. "Two days ... nothing more." Ananke only turn and left as the royal advisers helped Luna inside the palace. Luna sat in the guest bedroom they gave her, *this is nice, too bad I am not staying here long* "I didn't receive your name." Luna turned and saw Ananke standing at the door to the bedroom. She felt chills go down her spine as his blood red eyes stared at her and seek an answer to his question. "My name.. is Luna, my lord" Ananke looked at her and noticed the "sword" marks all over her back. He walked over and got a closer look at the wounds, "what happen to you? These marks ... they look like they were made by some sword or blade."

Luna quickly thought of something, "Ninjas! They attacked my family carriage and stolen everything." Ananke looked at her and saw the burn marks, "what about the burns?" Luna looked at it and to him, "They lit the carriage on fire and I barely escaped but sadly my entire family ..." Luna pretended to cry to make it sound like a truthful story, Ananke walked up to her and place his hands on her shoulder, "I am sorry for what has happen to you and your family. " He turned and walked away and closed the door behind him, "I can't believe he bought that!" Luna sat in her bed as a doctor came and helped her with her wounds. While Ananke went into his room and saw his head adviser, Cheng, "your highness, is it true that there's a young maiden that you are helping in the castle?" Ananke rolled his eyes at him, "Mention this to anyone and you'll be sleeping with the war dragons." Cheng got scared for a second because the war dragons are the most feared and dangerous creatures in all of China. They are know for not hesitating to kill a human when given a chance.

Ananke enter his room and walked over to a map of China, "it has to be here, I am so close." For years, all the past 3 kings before Ananke have tried to find the Moonstone but failed. "If I have that kind of power... I will rule all of China!"

2 days later

Luna's wounds healed completely because she use her own wolf magic when no one was loking. But she kept the bandages on to make it look like she still recovering. "Thank you, my lord, again for your kindness towards me." Ananke was shock because no one has ever called him kind before ever since he became the king. "Your ... welcome... Luna." Luna bowed and started to leave, *stop me from leaving, you dump prince! I didn't get any dirt on you or your war secrets! I gave you my best smile and even called you kind! Take the bait and get it over with* "Luna!?" *like mouse caught in a mousetrap* Luna turned around and put on her best smile and look at Ananke, "Yes, my lord?" Ananke walked down to her and rubbed the back of his neck, "I was only wondering where are you going to go now because of what happen to your family?" Luna gave a sad look and quickly put a fake smile, "it's alright I'll be fine my lord, I sure I can mange on my own since I have no other living relatives in both sides of my family." *Come on! That got to give him the feels!*

Ananke took her hand, "No, please, stay here as long as you wish, Luna. If you like, you may even have a job here in the palace." Luna smiled at him, "thank you but I couldn't.." *Sucker! I got you wrap around my paw!* Ananke shook his head, "please, I don't want anything else bad happening to you." Luna was surprised because of his words, "My lord?" *Did he just... he sounds like he actually care about me! No! He is the most cruel men in all of China! There is no ounce of kindness in this man's body!* Luna was wrong because Ananke was being kind to her and he actually does care about her. "I don't know how can I help out in the palace, I am only a simple girl." Anake smiled at her and reached in his pocket and pulled out a Ocarina flute, "you dropped this when you were brought to your room. I assuming you have a musical background?" *Of course Zoom would put that in my bag because he knows I hate playing that thing!* "I do.. but I don't really like playing it because I was told that I am the worst on that flute."

Ananke raised a eyebrow at her and looked at the flute, "I find that hard to believe." Luna made a face at him as he smirks at her while holding out the flute to her. Luna took in her hand and hold it up to her mouth and started to play it. The beautiful music filled the entire throne room and left Ananke shocked. Luna lowered the flute and finished playing, "I guess it sounds bad." "Whoever told you that deserves to be locked in a prison for not knowing what the most beautiful music sounds like!" Luna giggled and smiled at him, "I am glad that you like it, my lord." Ananke smiled and took her hand, "I hope you take the offer and become the royal music director?" Luna hesitate but she shook her head yes to his offer, "I will be honored, my lord."

Later That Night

Luna was surprised that Ananke has called her to his chamber just to play her flute to help him sleep. She softly played her flute as Ananke fell to sleep peacefully. She stop when she saw he was fully asleep and she stood up to leave but something caught her eye. She saw the map of China on his desk that had many places crossed off all over it. "Is he trying to find something?" She panicked when she heard him groan and turned on his bed, "I need to get out of here!" She grabbed the map and tiptoe out his room and ran out of the palace as the clock struck midnight. When she reached the temple, she looked at the moon clock and she still had 6 hours remaining before her transformation runs out. "Luna, you're early!?" Luna saw her father enter the Temple, "I came to report what I found, the prince is searching for something but I don't know what." Luna gave him the map and showed him as proof to her story, "what is he searching for?" Luna shrugs her shoulders as the moonstone recharge her transformation, "I don't know but I am going to find out sooner or later."
