Florida At Breakfast

Oleander woke to more purring. He reached out and the black cat was curled up with him. "Morning, Jack." The black cat stood and arched her back and rubbed against Oleander's hand. "You do realize that I'm a werewolf. I'm almost a dog and they don't get along with cats."

Jack didn't seem to care. She rubbed against him and hopped off the bed. Someone knocked on the door. Oleander pulled the blankets higher as the door opened. Origin was there looking hot as usual.

"Origin?"

Origin smiled. "Morning." He watched Jack rush out the door and down the hall.

"What are you doing here?" Oleander couldn't figure this vampire out.

"Well, you are my responsibility all week." Origin hated that he sounded like he had to hang out with Oleander.

"Right. Orders." Oleander just realized that Origin was just following orders. There was no attraction between them. He wanted to punch himself. He should be fine with this just being orders.

Origin looked at Oleander. "I would have volunteered, Oleander."

Oleander ignored the goosebumps. He nodded. He was speechless. He just made a noise and tried to close his mouth. He really had no come back for that comment.

Origin cleared his throat. "Breakfast is ready. Come on."

Oleander stared at the Vampire. "Uh, I need my pants." He looked at the dresser across the room.

Origin stared. "Are you modest? You would be the first modest Werewolf!" He walked to the dresser and hunted for pants. "You wouldn't believe how many I have seen naked and not on purpose! These people are crazy." He walked over and pulled a pair of jeans and tossed them to Oleander. "Okay, breakfast."

Oleander smiled as he slid his jeans on as he stayed under the blanket. He stood and saw Origin look at him. "Are you okay?"

Origin smiled. "Better now. Sorry but you are amazing to look at!" He laughed as Oleander blushed. "Sorry. I hang out with Werewolves that have no boundaries. I apologize. I look at werewolves in human form and picture what their wolves look like, I compare a lot. Even your wolf is hot!"

Oleander just shook his head. "Thanks."

"Sorry. My dad and I were talking about you a little last night." He cleared his throat. "He was curious about how you were doing. He's worried."

"Why would he care?" Oleander stared at Origin.

Origin laughed. "I have no idea but they are the most caring people I have ever met. Come on. Let's eat."

"I need a shirt." Oleander looked down.

Origin looked at him like he was food and took Oleander's hand. "No, you don't!" He pulled him from the room and down the stairs. Oleander followed Origin into the dining room and Origin pulled out a chair for Oleander. The Witches were there.

Alanis smiled. It was genuine. "Good morning. Good to see you. I heard that Jack slept with you. She loves you."

Oleander nodded. "She is a weird cat!" He saw her enter the room walking like she was the queen. He could swear she glared at him and he smiled.

Gideon sat. "You would be the only one to say that and live." He smiled. "So, are you going to stay?" There was a large black rabbit sitting by his feet. He tossed something to it.

Oleander looked at the table. "Uh, I don't think that's a decision for me to make. I believe that the Alpha has that decision to make."

As if he knew they were talking about him, Oak walked in and sat. "Good morning. Did I hear my name?" He sat beside Oleander as Origin walked in with two bags of blood and a glass. He sat on Oleander's other side.

"Uh, sorry, Sir!" Oleander looked down. "I meant no disrespect."

Oak smiled and wrapped an arm around Oleander. "Oleander, you have to relax. If you want to stay just let me know. I'm leaving that choice up to you. Origin's leaving me with reports at the end of each day. Indigo and Jack like you. They are both good at judging character. I trust my people, Oleander. Origin likes you too." He winked.

Origin glared and cleared his throat. "Grandfather!"

Oak chuckled. "Oh, well. Relax, Origin. Gideon, are we still on for today?" He looked at the witch.

"Yes, Sir. My father's looking forward to it." Gideon smiled.

Oak looked at Oleander. His arm was still around him. "We are going fishing. You fish?"

"No!" Oleander sighed. "Sir."

"Well, Origin? What are your plans for today?" Oak smiled.

Origin smiled as his eyes glowed. He loved fishing. "I think we can hang out with you."

"Wonderful!" Oak smiled at his grandson. "I can spend time getting to know Oleander." He smiled at Origin. Origin just nodded. "What time does the plane leave?"

"Plane?" Oleander was lost.

Origin shook his head. "Uh, Gideon's dad has a yacht and we go deep sea fishing. It's so fun!"

"Oh!" Oleander was still lost.

Gideon looked at Oleander. "My dad is rich. I mean filthy rich. We have a private jet and a large yacht. You'll love it." He smiled. "I want to get to know you too, if that's okay. Cedar said he liked you too."

Oleander nodded. "People's opinions mean a lot here, huh?"

Oak smiled. "Of course. I get everyone's opinion. You even won the cat over and she doesn't like me!"

Alanis smiled. "It's because you call her cat."

Oak chuckled. "I do that on purpose and she knows it." He looked at Oleander. "We love to hate each other. It's our thing. Eat so we can leave."

Oleander cut his pancakes and enjoyed the meal. He watched Origin pour his blood into a glass. He slowly drank his meal. "I can't wait to get a hold of a shark! Oh, do you think there will be a tiger shark! I love hunting for them, they will hunt you back!"

Oak laughed. "Oleander, Origin doesn't fish like we do. We use poles. He doesn't."

Origin looked like a vampire. Black eyes and sharp teeth. "I don't need a pole when I have these fantastic teeth!" He smiled as more teeth appeared. He looked fierce but all Oleander could do is smile and wipe some drool from his chin.
