Alanis and Gideon were worried. Jack was pacing on the floor. She was worried also. Oleander never made it home last night. Oak watched the witch couple and found it interesting that they worried about the stranger too. Oak was beginning to realize that Oleander wasn't a stranger anymore. He could see that Oleander was part of this pack. He felt it.

"Don't worry. I believe I left him in good hands, as long as he didn't screw it up!" Oak just smiled at the witches. He was hoping that Origin didn't mess it up. He knew that Origin was Oleander's mate and they would not be happy until they figured it out and Origin was stubborn.

Cedar walked in shaking his head. "Well, I found them." He sat beside Rain and kissed her.

"Are they okay?" Rain touched Cedar's cheek.

"Uh, yes." Cedar smiled. "They're fine." He watched them walk in and sit together.

"Are you mated?" Rain stared and slowly smiled. She could feel how happy and centered they were. It was a huge change from when they were here last.

Origin turned pale. Oleander glared at Origin. "This is your fault, you answer!"

Origin looked at Oleander and glared. "It's your fault for showing up at my house!"

"No, and I told you I was about to leave. This is your fault for letting me inside!" Oleander loved arguing with Origin.

"You were naked and I couldn't let you walk home naked!" Origin smiled.

"You were going to make me walk home?" Oleander glared.

Origin laughed. "Maybe!"

Oleander chuckled. "Dick!"

Origin smiled and leaned into Oleander. "Yes, we are mated. He coerced me!"

"I am diabolical! It was my plan all along." Oleander smiled at Origin and leaned in for a kiss but Jack hopped onto Oleander's lap. No purring. "Jack, I am so sorry that I wasn't here!" He touched her back.

Jack glared at Origin and sniffed his arm. She bumped her head on his arm and curled up on Oleander and began to purr.

Alanis smiled. "She was worried."

Oak smiled. "You figured this out on your own and I'm proud. The full moon is in two days, I am introducing you to the pack."

"Then there will be no take backs, Oleander." Origin leaned in and kissed him. They both sighed as Oleander deepened the kiss. They were almost on the floor when they heard laughing. Alanis and Rain were laughing. "Oh, right. Breakfast. We should eat!" Origin smiled. He stood up and walked out to get his breakfast.

"Sorry about that." Oleander cleared his throat. He filled his plate and waited for Origin to come back with his meal. He poured one bag into his cup and sipped it. Oleander began to eat.

Oak smiled at the couple as he continued with his meal. "So, what are your plans?"

Oleander sighed. "I have to find a job." He shrugged.

Oak nodded. "I believe that your mate could find a job for you."

Origin nodded. "We hadn't really talked yet but yes, I have a couple of things. If you're interested."

"I could work for your company?" Oleander stared.

"Yes. I could bring you lunch everyday. We could ride to work together." Origin was ready to love his man.

"Ride home together." Oleander smiled. "Tuck you in bed and make sure you get a good night's sleep. Make sure you are well rested for the next day." He leaned in and kissed Origin.

Oak just smiled. "They aren't going to get much done, huh?"

Cedar smiled. "No, I don't think so. So, they are in love, huh?"

Oak smiled. "At the very moment that Oleander dove in to save Origin, I believe it was instant."

"I thought once we mated.... That was it?" Cedar was lost.

"Me too." Rain stared. "Maybe male mates aren't as strong?"

Oak sighed. "No, Rain, they are just as strong. The bond is the same. Sometimes, if we travel far enough, we find another that is perfect for us. Most aren't open minded enough to pursue it. They ignore it or they don't travel far enough, most aren't brave enough to live without their mates. I was never brave enough to find mine, Rain. I know my mate is out there but I never...."

"Really?" Rain stared at the Alpha. "So, my mother?"

"She has another, somewhere. Someone that will make her whole again. If we traveled, we would be guided to them. It's instinct. We would find them. I'm not quite ready yet." Oak smiled at the couple. "I'm glad that Oleander was brave enough."

Oleander smiled into Origin's dark eyes. "Not brave, Sir. I was looking for revenge and I was foolish."

"A blessing in disguise!" Rain smiled. "I'm so happy for you both."

"It's weird to see Origin happy!" Gideon smiled.

Cedar nodded. "No kidding. It's weird and disgusting!" He smiled at his brother, who was kissing a werewolf right now.

Oleander sighed. "Is this weird? And I mean a Vampire mated to a Werewolf? I've never heard of it."

Oak shook his head. "Never heard of it, no. But I don't think it's uncommon. I just think none are brave enough to go through with it!"

Oleander laughed. "No, I guess not."

"So, are you still interested in meeting some wolves and interrogating a vampire?" Oak was joking. He knew that Oleander would want to go.

Oleander almost shifted. "Yes." He growled and flashed sharp teeth. He took a breath. "Oops! I'm so sorry, Sir!" He got some control halfway through the shift and shifted back.

Origin touched his wolf face as he calmed down. "Hey, I'm not going anywhere. I will stand by you as you get answers." He kissed Oleander. "Okay."

Oleander just moaned and melted into Origin. His wolf was subdued right now.

"Well, that calmed him down." Oak smiled.

Rain and Alanis giggled. "When everyone is ready, we can go." Alanis had an appointment later but she didn't want to miss the interrogation.

Rain watched the group. "Be careful. Alanis, I will get this cleaned up." She walked to Cedar. "Be careful." She held his eye contact.

Cedar melted into her. "I promise." He kissed her slowly.

Oleander never heard Alanis. He was busy.

"Oleander? Origin? Are you both ready? To talk to a bad guy?" Oak smiled.

Oleander heard the words 'bad guy'. He pulled away. "Oh, sure. Later?"

Origin sighed. "Oh, yeah!" He gulped his last bag and stood up. "Ready."

Oleander stood and followed the Alpha, his mate, his brother-in-law and two Witches out the door. Rain stayed to clean up.
