Clementine
As the cool morning breeze brushed lightly through my blue locks, I noticed that it was a start of a bright shiny day, or I guess...
Not so shiny...
It was a summer in the early 60s, where really bad people started performing different sets of experiments on me as a child. The morning daylight I could barely see through the iron bars that separated me and the light.
I was tested so much, my hair turned blue, my skin fell off and had to be replaced by robot parts, and I grew out wings. Half of my face is iron followed by my two arms, and thighs. I have been hurt so much, then again, the only thing that kept me here for so long is being there to talk with my friend. Olivia.
Unlike me, Olivia had it easy. She grew out fox tail and ears. That's all. Olivia would be the only one there for me. We didn't have a normal childhood, so we wondered what other children would do at that age.
We thought about how other people's lives are and how lucky they were. Olivia asked me something one day.
"Clementine... when we're free, can you take me to the floating cotton candy on the sky so I can touch them?"
I would laugh and smile, feeling at home whenever I'm around her. She is like a sister to my little lonely world.
Until that day...
I was waiting for Olivia to comeback from testing with a rare chemical. I heard a bunch of screaming, yelling, and banging behind the iron doors. I covered my ears, not wanting this to be recorded and played again. I looked up to see a bunch of people rushing to the laboratory.
Olivia...
Olivia hasn't returned. What happened? I wondered fiddling with my torn up dress that reaching my scrapped up knees. I flapped my wings in frustration.
Just then, I heard people saying things like...
"The chemical failed, the test subject died."
"Subject 108 recently died, 1:56 am."
My eyes went wide and everything went blank. I heard my cage being opened. I didn't move, but just looked at the stupid smile. I could feel my eyes turn dull and lifeless. The man took my arm and pulled me.
"C'mon little runt, let's just get this over with."
I glared at them and clenched my hands. I opened my mouth and showed my claws. I scratched his neck, and saw him fall to the ground choking in his own crimson blood, shedding some on me.
"Guards! 109 is out! Put it down!"
I growled and used my wings to flutter out of there. I screamed and scratched the guards and scientists letting free the blood splatter all over me. I started to flutter my wings and flies towards something.
Something I see every morning
Something that I thought I could never touch...
-------------------
"Clementine!"
I woke up to the annoying voice of Charlie, my roommate who I lived on a tree house with for a few years.
"Your such a lazy robo! Now get up and wash up... its a start of a new day."
I look towards the window to my right...
The morning breeze blew through my delicate blue locks as it smiles to the light of the morning light that once I could've never touch...
"Cora..."
