The only sonnet I ever wrote. Also the only poem I wrote over the span of a few days. Most of my poems are written over the span of one day in one sitting, to be able to better capture whatever I'm feeling at the very moment. This was written about someone who lived in my hometown. I'd watch them every summer evening from my balcony. I never knew them and I'd only see them during the summer, so I assume they lived elsewhere and came home for vacations.
This poem is kinda scandalous because I was in a relationship while I fancied this person. Hence the shiny heart... you know, 'cause ya girl be crying.
